Knee osteoarthritis (OA), also known as degenerative joint disease of the knee, is typically the result of wear and tear and progressive loss of articular cartilage. It is most common in the elderly. Hi Sou, yeah, it may be late for conservativve management, don't worry, knee replacement is good prognosis. Great chance of recovery, you just have to do rehabilitation afterwards as well to strengthen incised muscles. Once a day, 4-5x a week will be good. Exercise base on your tolerance, rest when you are tired and move whenever you can. The key in osteoarthritis is to do everything in moderation. Hi baaba, loose weight gradually if needed, weight management is very important since these are weight -bearing joints, every pound that you will gain is 3 lbs additional pressure to your painful joints. You can look for any physical rehabilitation hospitals or Physiotherapy clinics near your place. Sad case. But he did make a turn around somewhat. I believe he should get penalized but not for life, but he should also get help since he was changing. In cells should be studied and sent to a psychiatric award.

Im doing squat exercise for my knee for 2 months. And recumbent bike too, Im 65 year old women my pain is gone... but i was ready to do knee total knee replacement...i went for therapy too,, exercise help a lot...😊

Lesley, do what you can as tolerated, what is important is you stay consistent. You can use hot compress before the exercises to help you with the pain as well as your range of motion (so long as there is no inflammation). I don't understand why so many videos on OA ignore the shoulder joint. There may not be many who have shoulder OA, but there are some. Would be good to understand how/why shoulder OA is ignored, how it differs from other joint OA, and whether there are exercises to alleviate the pain of shoulder OA. If motion is lotion for joints, where do we get help for shoulder OA?

Kathi, hi. Exercises for shoulder joint OA would be more on range of motion and strengthening exercises. How are you? Have you had rehab? Do check these videos, this can help you since this addresses all major muscle groups in your shoulder joint as well. Hello, sorry to hear this po. What doctor have you visited? You can look for an orthopedic doctor near you. You can also use hot compress for 20 mins 2x a day so long as there is no inflammation, this will help sa concern mo na hindi sya matiko. Sathya, you can benefit with Physiotherapy rehab to help you with ambulation/ walking. If you won't use your muscles that much, it will shrink and it can weaken. You can also do these exercises, if rehab is not available in your place. Start small and gradually build your way up, Rest if you are tired or in pain, continue again the following day. The key in Osteoarthritis is doing everything in moderation.

I had suffered too with cracking sounds in my backbone. Read an article that said baobab seeds powder contain a lot of calcium. I bought a packet and started taking about a handful every morning and evening. I thank God am ok. Later doctor diagnosed and said my calcium levels ok. I thank God, so dont loose hope.

Hello, that's the sign of Osteoarthritis in x-ray due to the loss of cartilage. These exercises will not create the gap but rather strengthen the muscles in the knee joint which will help with the pain, functional independence and prevent the worsening of the condition. Hello Roqjoru, glad to have you here, Swimming is good for arthritic joints since it does not put too much strain in your joints as land exercises. Biking is good since it can strengthen specific muscles especially in your knee and progressive range of motion exercise as tolerated is good to gradually decrease joint stiffness which is a common complaint of patients. Hi Safia, sorry to hear this, an ortho surgeon can help you with this, if the damage is severe then you need surgery this is to put the tibia back in place and stabilize the fractured site. Once the fractured site is stabilized you will have rehab where you will do ambulation training based on the progress of healing in your x-ray film. She speaks with a Fillipino slang and is not telling you the actual treatment. If you have a painful knee, wrap a dry small towel around your knee and direct the hot air from a hair dryer on the knees three times a day and the knee will heal. There is another cream which has a ginger ingredient that can be applied with best results. What actually eats into the knees is starch. Stop eating rice and other foods that contain starch to prevent arthritis. Rice is arsenic to the body and is bad to eat. Be on a carnivore diet together with a cucumber without skin and seeds to be healthy. Do not touch vegetables as they contain phytates, tannins and oxalates and are converted into sugar upon digestion. I do not eat fruits as fruits contain the sugar fructose which affects your mitochondria and cause inflammation in the body.

Deep squatting is not good for osteoarthritis but we cannot tell if it's OA simply because of that. Other symptoms would include crepitus or sound on the joint when you move and morning stiffness that usually gets better after an hour of movement. Best way to confirm is through an x-ray Robinson.
