I have a 2019 Mazda 6 that I bought couple of months ago for ~23K with only 21K miles on it. But mine has a lot more options than this one (Heated leather seats, sunroof, adaptive cruise control, etc...) I think it's the best car I've ever owned. The interior is just so luxurious like out of an Audi interior. I like how Mazda has its own customer base like myself and it's not trying to go for the masses like Toyota and Honda.

Had to get rid of it due to 1k annual repair bills, but still my favourite car. I got teh toyta for the xtended warranty and hopefully reliability, but if I could have afforded to gamble, would have taken another mazda hands down. Very comfortable to drive, brillaint handling, enough power to be safe whatever the manouvre, and great cabin quality. I have a newer toyata that has much less soundproofing, and is less comfortable, and a lot less fun to drive..... man, I miss my mazda.

Mazda makes great vehicles. I have previously owned a 2005 Mazda 3 and a 2014 Mazda 6. I currently own a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Model. All 3 of these vehicles were purchased brand new, and had/have no problems whatsoever. All I have ever had to do with any of the Mazdas that I have owned is routine maintenance. My brother owned a Mazda RX-7 back in the 80s, and he never had any problems with it either. I will always be a huge Mazda fan. 👍👍

Fit For A King? HELL YEAH BROTHER 🤘🏻 Also, my father had a 2017 Mazda 6, loved it so much he got a newer 2020 right off the showroom floor and the improvement with the ride comfort, quieter interior, touching up of the front and rear and extra standard features more than justified the new purchase. I talked to someone just the other day with the same 6 and he said “dude I thought I was crazy because it was the same gen, but now I can rest better at night!” I also LOVE the Sport mode for merging because it holds the passing gear JUST right, really taking the anxiety out of the whole ordeal. My only minor complaint is the visibility out the back isn’t what I’d like it to be but it’s not a dealbreaker as you get standard back up camera and rear cross traffic alert. But I love his car, it’s much more fun to drive over my 04 Accord and I might get one over the new Camrys I’ve been looking at.

My daily driver is a 2014 Mazda 6 (124k miles at this point). I have the automatic transmission and the best mileage I got (with the AC running) was 38 mpg. Now that my daily commute is all freeway, I'm probably hitting 75-80 mph more often than not. Even so, at that speed my mileage is still respectable at 28-30 mpg. This is my 3rd Mazda (1979 RX-7/180k miles, 2005 Mazda 3/190k miles, and now the 6). Roughly 500k miles all told and zero forced maintenance with the exception of an A/C compressor on the 3). Agree totally on the manual trans. I have taught both my daughters on them and started on my then 14 yr. old granddaughter with my 2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring. When she turned 16, I gave her the car for her birthday (only 12K miles on it). To my surprise, she took her drivers test in this car and passed on her first attempt. The DMV inspector said it was the only girl in her 10 years of working at the DMV that had taken the test in a manual trans. Made my day. I also own a 2022 MX-5 RF Grand Touring in Platinum Quartz. And, yes, it is a manual. As soon as they come out with a Mazda 3 Turbo with a manual, I will be first in line.

We had before that a BMW x3 from 2012, the interior on the Mazdas is nicer and very well put together, we had no/little trouble with them so far (just 1 broken electronic side mirror motor). The x3 had all kinds of problems over the years sadly. And here in Europe like 99% of the people know how to drive manual, way more people don't know how a automatic works.

It has a VVT issue that instead of a $100 solenoid swap. It’s a $1200 cluster. They redesigned the VVT and you can’t just buy the VVT/actuator. Even though the engine light has been on for 3+ years. It still runs fine it just might not be optimum performance due to the oil drive actuator in the VVT.

I had a 2004 Mazda 6 with a manual and the Ford 6 cylinder engine..It was the best driving car for the family that I've ever owned...I started having some problems when it got some age on it probably because I gave it to my son when it had about 70 thousand miles on it...He drove it pretty hard.

My Mazda is old as dirt. It comes from the 20th century... 1999 🦒 It has seen its day. But many years back, it was a nice, tight, quiet , car. Now it needs paint. Time to junk it, so time to start looking for around. Thanks Scotty, but 20k is too much for that model.

Still drive my 1990 mazda astina with the pop up lights... Only thing that I can't get fixed without major cost is the old air-conditioning which isn't compliant anymore, so you can't re gas it.... Nothing I mean nothing has gone wrong in over 30 years.. And it still looks slick and could easily pass as a modern disign these days

Mazda are still manufacturing the 6, it's just no longer on sale in North America. There is no confirmation of a next generation Mazda 6 but I really hope there will be one! Also this a FULLY Mazda engineered car and has no input from Toyota proving what Mazda can do on their own is amazing!

Last 2 cars I’ve had were Mazda’s. Both of them 3’s, the current is a 3 Turbo. Absolutely love them. I only wish they made trucks as the next vehicle I get is gonna have to be a pickup, I’m afraid. I love the 3’s, though, and I had a 6 several years ago that was a great car, as well.

I may have missed it, but what year is this car? We have a 2005 and 2007 Mazda 6s and they have been great. (Well, replacing the headlight assembly on the 2007 was a real pain.) My son's M6 had an injector replaced, but other than that, no problems. We love Mazda and Toyotas. I had a Mazda small pickup that I drove into the ground. And I bought a 2007 Toyota Tacoma that's been great.

2014 Mazda3 with 135k on the ODO and zero issues outside of normal wear and tear. Still zippy, still gets good MPG and has been the easiest and cheapest car to maintain since I purchased it. I would put Mazda on or above Toyota’s level of reliability and build quality. Not quite Lexus material but pretty close.

Why would you want Mazda to ruin the earth with high emission vehicles with toxic batteries? Do some research.
@watershed44
@watershed44 Год назад
@@jonwoodworker Bingo. Mazda and Toyota realize that the EV is NOT the answer to the future of vehicles. Most of us here agree on that. I think natural gas powered cars are a great stop gap if you want to be environmentally friendly...but the old ICE is still the most practical solution for most of us for the near term future.
@jonwoodworker
@jonwoodworker Год назад
@@watershed44 We don't possess the technology nor the infrastructure to convert to battery yet. Disposal of the batteries alone, in volume, would destroy the earth. Green people have invented the cart but forgot about the wheel. I love the idea of pulling into my garage and plugging it in every few days, but it just doesn't work overall.
@watershed44
@watershed44 Год назад
@@jonwoodworker Not to mention if the EV starts on fire inside that garage it will be nearly impossible to put out and you'd likely lose your entire home. ICE engine cars fires can be put out pretty easily and quickly.

I own two of them. A 2016 ( fwd only) that gets 30-32 mpg and still runs like top. And a 2023 AWD that gets 29-30 mpg. They are great vehicles. The newer is much quieter and has better sound dampening that the older 2016 but they both are solid vehicles that seem to be premium to to a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV.

So few people can drive a standard shift that it's become an actual Security device. I've heard several stories about how car thieves abandoned their theft when they figured out they didn't know how to drive it. Somehow, I frequently bought cars over the last 30yrs with Stick Shift just because it worked out that way and I had experience using a clutch and shifting. I would still do that today if I could save a thousand dollars. Actually, when I look for my next used car I will search for a stick because now days those draw less buyer interest and their prices are lower. I always feel that I am actually more attuned to driving the car if I do my own gear shifting. (plus it's kinda cool that I have a skill that fewer and fewer people know how to use)
