Brian, that was a very fascinating tour at that restaurant Daisy D. It is very classy in a great way. Those great waitresses of course are very beautiful but, I see they are very intelligent too. Like college females. The modern day Filipina are very alluring and style will bring credence to the Philippines. I really hate when people put down Filipina females. Having been station in Clark Air Base, Philippines. Filipina really in my opinion the most bravest, intelligent and serious of all Asian in particular and women in general in my opinion. The prices are well worth it for Americans and other foreigners at Daisy D. Even, I think locals too. I hope down the road you may do a story if they have a chain of restaurants. Now, many dudes go to clubs and are fascinated with old style show looks but, seeing this is more tasteful. Especially you know the chances of being around drunk individuals is low while you of course eat great, watch TV and admire the friendly beauty of these young women, and not feeling like you are in the club being taken for a ride of pretend in my opinion. With no disrespect for those who do work in the club, I know they have to make money for the owners, plus most of the women are just wanting to work only too. Thanks Brian for this. GOD bless to the Philippines and GOD bless to America for being able to afford to live in the Philippines.
I worked with the producer and director of the 'Dukes of Hazard' Ralph Riskin. When I met him he was the PR director of a company I worked for in Santa Barbara in the late 1990s. Ralph was a prince of a man and a real gent. He had some fascinating stories about Hollywood in the golden age and of some famous players in that era. One story was that after Doris Day became popular Oscar LeVant said this 'I knew Doris Day before she was a virgin'... ha ha ha hilarious. Ralph's uncle Robert Riskin was a famous playwright and screenwriter. I got the feeling from Ralph that he thought the 'Dukes of Hazard' was a silly enterprise loaded with fluff. A few times he told me that actors were for the most part mentally ill and quite insane. Ralph crossed over a few years ago and the world is less for it... I was never a major player in his life just a coworker. When I left that company Ralph was right there to shake my hand and wish me well.
It might be that you are too close to the Equator of the world the other issue is some much small fish and animals in the water to eat. how often do you go to the beach? and the PHILIPPINES might be home to a different type of seagull. Saunders's gull, Saundersilarus saunders (A) Black-headed gull, Chroicocephalus ridibundus Laughing gull, Leucophaeus atricilla (A) Black-tailed gull, Larus crassirostris (A) Common gull, Larus canus (A) Herring gull, Larus argentatus (A) Slaty-backed gull, Larus schistisagus (A) Brown noddy, Anous stolidus
Only thing missing is the orange juice, looks great. If you can survive driving in the Philippines than you can survive driving anywhere, sounds more like it.
From my experience living there it doesn't matter if they had stop signs or traffic lights - no one takes a blind bit of notice of them. Except on Clark and down on Subic.
You read the viewers mind when you turn the camera around for the scenery instead of the selfie. People most likely want the day happening and its a lot better when done on a car than a motorbike. Good you showed us a couple of Daisy D's for this episode!
Definitely...whenever you're near a camara, it should always be in non-selfie mode 😂😂😂 Eggs totally over-cooked...one yolk looks rock hard! I'll just stick with "The Ville" whenever I'm in town for my breakfasts...the oldest and still the best. I don't need skimpy claid waitresses with my bacon and eggs. Oh, and no gulls in Thailand either, in fact, never seen any in Bali or Malaysia either; they must be a more temperate climate species.
Filippinas I've met here in the us and those when I lived in the philippines are relatively naive. Not very worldly . Just looking for a foreigner to get them and their families through life.
That place is going to be so crazy once it reopens. I hope you've enjoyed the quietness cause it will be so so bad once it reopens. Bad as in too many tourists. I live in Florida and because we never shut down. Its been 1000% busy with new Yorkers and California people moving here. So many tourists here and inflation i want to get the hell out of America and move to the phillipines. So that tells you what tsunami of tourists heading your way.
Hey Brian my dear friend, first of all, you don't have an ugly face. You have one of the most friendliest faces that I have ever seen. Maybe the seagulls can't handle the tropical climate. This establishment looks very nice. I definitely have to visit Daisy D's when I get back to the Philippines. Your breakfast looks absolutely delicious Brian. It's making me hungry. Yum yum. Your grandmother was right, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And those are some very beautiful Filipinas. I have driven in the Philippines Brian , it's definitely an adventure. Thank you Brian my dear friend for sharing this awesome video . Please stay safe and healthy , and God bless you , lot ,Borges, Miguel , Hannah grace , Bing Bing , and the rest of your beautiful family . And may God bless your awesome pets .😊 😊 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Seagulls aka shit hawks. No need to be by the ocean they are everywhere here in Canada. Anywhere there is water there is shit hawks. Daisy D's looks great and seems very reasonable. My breakfast would probably get cold cause I would be too busy checking out the girls haha.
**Official Statement Release from the Beater Boyz Squad** Daisy D’s - hot coffee, hot breakfast, hot women. The squad is fully loaded and ready to COME get in on the ACTION!!!!!
There are 4 species of seagulls in Philippines, they just aren't very common as most gulls breed in colder climates as food is more plentiful (found that from information on Google, I'm no ornithologist)..
I was born and grew up near the shore but never seen a sea gull in my life. I saw swallows. There are plenty of crane birds in the rice field standing in the carabao back.
I think the statement "If you can drive in the Philippines you can drive anywhere in the world" means that if you can drive in the chaos of Philippine traffic, you can drive in any chaotic country's traffic. Thing is traffic in some places is more chaotic than the Philippines. I know India has a chaotic traffic, Africa has chaotic traffic as well.
Dominican republic traffic is literally a free for all, I have seen up to 5 people (yes it wasn't a typo, 5 people)on a scooter , and almost every car has dents in the front, sides and rear, especially around the Puerto plata area.
My favorite (American Breakfast Restaurant) in the Philippines is the biker cafe outside of the Mall of Asia in Manila on the waterfront next to Planet Hollywood. That place looks awesome though Dukes of Hazard was my favorite childhood tv show.
I'll be moving to the Philippines hopefully by the end of this year (Trying to talk my wife into living on Luzon instead of Mindenao where she is from) as a Veteran 1998-2004 and a WWII history nerd I love Corregidor and Fort Drum ( I was once stationed at the other Fort Drum....the frozen s#!t hole in Northern New York) but there are many places over there I want to visit that I didn't get to see my first three trips.
Mr Brian when I was farming in Texas back in the seventies I use to see seagulls 400 miles from the Gulf coast. They would follow us plowing in the spring diving down to get the red worm. Good video I enjoyed it.Nice looking waitress.
I just paid taxes for registration, and 2 year tag for Harley Davidson motorcycle. No inspection needed unless motorcycle has 150,000 miles or more in the state of Missouri USA
Seagulls nest on the ground. In Okinawa they lost all the sea birds to invasive predators. They brought in mongoose to eat the snakes and they just ate the rest of the bird eggs.
I remember driving through Tuguegarao and it was much like what I see here. No stop signs, no traffic lights. At one point I came to an intersection where 5 streets came together. There was no obvious straight through. There were scooters, motorcycles, cars, vans and they just merged and crossed each other. Things just went smoothly and no one really stopped. It was awesome. Also driving down roads which connected one province to another tended to be two 2-lane roads. There would 2 lanes going north and 2 lanes going south. The road had ox, scooters (sometimes with 5 people on 1 scooter), cars, vans and these huge trucks with loads so big they would be considered illegal in America. I was in a van. I never had to slow down for the slower vehicles. A tap on the horn so they knew I was coming. On the shoulder would be ox, passing the ox would be scooters, I'd be passing the scooters on their left, even though there were really only 2 lanes in each direction, people ignore the lines and just co-existed in harmony. Once or twice in a week someone might cause a merge issue from a blind side street but you just reacted, adjusted and things worked out. It was pretty awesome. You could also just feel the places someone had spread out their rice on the right lane or shoulder. You'd come around a corner and the curb lane would be full of rice set out to dry. You just kind of knew to stay in the left lane so as to not drive over the farmers rice. No one rented space at the barangay hall to spread out their rice. haha. Driving in the province and north towns was definitely an experience. As a former racer, it would kind of like driving on the race track and anticipating where everyone would be and driving according to the physics rather than any rule of the road. I loved it. Driving in towns was a little harder.
For what he got, that was reasonable.,went to McDonald's here in Arizona and ordered #3 double quarter pounder meal and it cost me over $11.00.,his breakfast looked way too tasty!!!
Bryan filipino are good in following traffic ,sign board etc. when they are in foreign countries. Filipino that live longer in Japan they cannot drive anymore in the Philippines because they get to use follow orders. A lot of filipino once they get back in the Philippines they are scared to drive. Why filipino are daredevil ,and that makes them a good driver hahaha...
So you had eye candy along with your breakfast? Appreciate the vlog of DD. Enjoy the variety of topics on your channel. Stay safe and healthy. God bless you and your family.
Brian!, mate, if they deep fry everything it’s not a good restaurant. That breakfast wouldn’t even rate 1 star. If they grill the bacon on a hotplate instead of deep frying then you are onto a winner. Keep searching! Good luck mate!
I just had a late breakfast with some pancakes (no eggs that day) over at Denny's one day and I got so sick around dinner I thought I was going to die. Coming out of both ends for hours. I don't want that again but I don't know how to stop it :(
