@@seanmatthewking putting the picture in a image editor and putting a perfectly straight line starting at the leftmost matt's head proves otherwise; 1st and 3rd are the same height, while the 2nd is quite shorter and 4th is slightly taller than those two.
True story: me and my friends did this for a talent show in high school where i was singing falsetto.. Last minute, on stage, the singer decides he's too nervous to sing and doesn't project his voice My whole high school only hears me singing this... i had no idea
One thing I really love about this is that there’s a couple of parts where the vocal sounds a little weak and possibly even slightly off key, and they didn’t even bother to go back and do it over. There’s also no discernible reverb or anything on his voice to make it sound better. In the mid 90s post-grunge era in which this was recorded, that sort of imperfection was viewed as a positive quality as it made the music seem more authentic and gave it a garage-y home-made flavor. One of the consequences of the grunge explosion was the moving away from overproduced rock recordings which had been characteristic of 80s, in favor of that raw, unadulterated, garage band sound. The goal was to have it sound like it was recorded on an 8 track in the band’s rehearsal space. Love it.

For one second I was like “what if I like it more than the original” ....now I feel stupid that I let that thought enter my mind for even half a second
it’s honestly amazing that they were bold enough to try it and smart enough to use it. it makes the song. weezer made so many odd, perfect decisions back then
That One Recon level 6 you awake in a dark room tied to a chair. Matt sharp is standing in front of you licking a burrito. He suddenly melts into the ground. You hear him laughing in your ears but you don’t see him.
Okay somebody please tell me im not the only one who DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE HIS BACKING VOCALS in the original song until I saw this. I just listened to the actual song again and feel like my life is a lie
Now I can’t not-hear Matt Sharp in the original official recording. Thank you. Thank you so much. It’s almost like seeing them/him in concert again. All-right.
It's funny because when I first discovered this band and was reading about the band members, whenever I saw the words "bass player Matt Sharp" I just had a strong hunch it was this guy from the album cover. He just looks like a bass player who would only sing falsetto.
