I love this guy and I think he is a genious for creakting his own and unique genre inside the electronic. This is the first time I watch him live and I must say I feel so sorry for him because he seems totally exhausted like he only lives for his music but then I figure out the kind of life he lives one day in chicago, the next one at the other side of the country and crossing for Europe... He seems so tired
Sofía Montalban he's just concentrated. But you also need to consider that he's like a full live band in one person. Sometimes he plays the drums, then the synths or the bass, all alone.
Sofía Montalban if you're talking about the fact he's getting low behind his screen or things like that: he's talking in a mic (to his team) behind the panels and in front of his legs. and he's an awkward dancer too
Jonathan Raue He's just playing some drum samples here and there, it's nothing compared to playing a real instrument in its entirety. However he has to concentrate on a lot of things here I'm not saying this doesn't require talent however. I'm really impressed by his live shows.
to me it looks like he doesn't even touch the drum pads most of the time but rather just pretends to ^^ I don't mind, its all part of the show and thereby absolutely ok ^^
it depends on the song. some of them are more "playable" than others because they have certain sounds that he can actually play live. i think making a set this way is a bit more creative than a DJ set.
I thought he would have a female singer, singing the lead vocal live, it would be more interesting to watch. It's a bit boring watching him just on the decks and hitting a drum pad.
