Choreographed this over a span of time, in which I started dabbling in contemporary dance on a different level. Was never meant to be a piece to showcase my vocabulary or technique, but really more of a display of raw emotion.

EDIT: After 5 years, revisited this because of the very kind comments people have left and I have to say the wiser me now would like to clarify the above statement. Technique is so important in allowing emotions and ideas to come through - younger me probably meant that this was done in my first couple months of trying out contemporary dance and because of certain reasons I had a strong urge to express myself through choreography despite the lack of technique. Go practice your techniques ya'll, but don't let the chase for perfection deter you from trying things out/creating! Peace!

Sometimes we desperately hold onto things we love, and keep fighting to keep them beside you - rightfully so at that. In this process there's always a conflict of wanting to fight on and letting go for better things ahead. For those that go with the latter, it's not a heroic act nor a selfish one, no one can judge that. Either way it's painful and we can only hope for the best, and move on no matter what anyone says.
Deep and emo thoughts aside, really thankful to Germaine for spending time to learn and develop this personal choreo, you're a wonderful dancer to work with!
Also, yet again thanks to Hadi and Clive for taking time out of his busy schedule to film and edit this!
