Christina's voice overpowers his so much, the song without her in it really gives you a perspective on the emotion put into it. BTW, I hold true that this has to be the saddest song ever made.

i just got over a year long depression and attempted suicide one time failed and now im joining the Marine Corps. This song brings me back to the beginning and makes me feel so proud i survived that attempt and now i can do something great with this life i was given. Please if you feel like giving up don't because things always get worse before they get better and they always do get better. Trust me.
Every Wednesday there's a jamming session at a local bar and I go along and sing and play piano with the band. Sometimes there are female singers there and they're pretty good and I do duets with them. I'll probably sing this song tonight and sing it from my heart with my eyes closed. Lost my mum a few years ago to cancer. She was only 47 when she died but I grew up having to see her suffer at the hands of my father, she was an angel...

Was just longboarding with this song on, it's nighttime where I live. Was doing some dancing moves and grab tricks to the rythm and at the climax of the song there were these shooting stars in the sky all of a sudden... Some moments are just too f-in perfect.

I really love this song!! I like the original more than the one featuring Christina Aguilera. Don't get me wrong I like the version with her I just prefer it without her because her voice is a bit to strong for this song. (: I love it thanks for the lyrics x
I think my crush is going to think of this song on Tuesday because he left me at the school to do a speech on my own and without him it was just me and I stumbled and said the wrong things and his best friend covered his part (thank you Steven) and I was standing there being humiliated in front of about 200 veterans who were very impatient people!
Such a wonderful song. It really reminds me of everything that happened with me and my best guy friend a couple years ago, when he decided to be a jerk and i had to leave my first love.
Both versions are very good but ...... I like the original here. But, I do like how C.A. dove into it on the version with her. She has a few very similar power ballads.
