SAYING GOODBYE 🥺| I can’t believe this is it… 

I felt the same way on Wednesday morning. I just want to appreciate and cherish my students. The daily frustrations are a luxury compared to what other people are going through.

I was literally devastated. I was in tears while the kids were in class, I was up all night thinking about those teachers giving their lives. I felt sick on Wednesday and could hardly get through the day. I still fill sick and a bit spooked. Just like you, it shook me up and more than the others. I was looking over my shoulder in the school all day, just thinking about the ways someone could come in. I felt like a sitting target. The next lockdown, I've been literally sitting and thinking about how I need to teach kids to use my phone to call 911 in case I die in front of them. It's not ok. Yesterday I was at work and felt so anxious, until I left the school.

I loved seeing you grow as a teacher. Your kiddos are moving on to so many better things! There going to be amazing in 3rd grade. They are always going to be with you no matter what!! Im supper sad for school to end cause I’ll miss my teachers so much, but I’m excited to move on. You are always a teacher in your heart. Don’t think about the negatives to this year, think of possitive thoughts. I always think about the negative things about school, that I forgot about all the amazing people iv met. You will be so amazing in your new chapter of you life

It has been a few years since I have not been a part of the traditional public education sector but I am still a teacher at heart as you said. This is why I always enjoy your videos. Also, thank you for taking a moment to acknowledge the horrific event that happened this week. I think everyone expresses sorrow in diff. ways but I am glad you managed to speak a little about it. I am praying for the families of the little ones and the teachers lost.

Well done for using your platform to speak up. I left the USA in 2018 due largely in part to the gun violence, I didn't want my to raise my kids in that culture. I'm a teacher in Scotland and the only drills we have are incase of fire. My heart breaks for those families. Stay safe.

I know more than most bc when i was a third greader( Im now a freshman) saw my 2 best friends killed as i was holding their hands in fear. I got shot too but I survived fortunately. I understand the pain so my heart goes out to the familys and communities and teachers of the students

I was living near Dunblane when the one and only mass school shooting in the UK happened, in 1996 - people I worked with had children at the school, and it was very close to home. Living in a country where it happened ONCE was bad enough. More than one mass shooting a day, over 20 school shootings a year - it must be so hard for teachers and for children. I hope the USA can find a better way forward... I hope we all can, there are plenty of other terrible things going on in countries where mass shootings are less common...

Yesterday was my last day. And I know this very kind teacher and I'm not that sad set in 2 months she will be my teacher but I felt so sad because today feels like another day going back. I love your channel and this is so sad

+Madison CampbellWell Madison , This is why you cannot let bad behaviors or responses from students or whatever pressures of the school year that you face be the overall breaker of your year as teacher because of these moments when the pressure is off like now at the end of the school year and they start to see more of you as you and you see more of them as them the kind of things that you are dominantly void from during the normal duration of the school year . This shows that underneath it all they really do love you and you really do love them and that is what should be what makes you a good teacher . Take it from me a former autistic sped school student . I had that same experience when I marched with my senior class and graduated from high school . I did not want to leave my friends or those teachers at the moment because with that signaling the end of all of the academics and hard work also came the end of my job as " the king of the pep rallies " . With that said , you gotta do what works for you because you can't make anyone else happy if you are not in a happy position yourself .Thank you for your classroom vlogs and sharing your teaching experiences .I truly enjoyed seeing your classroom when it was your classroom .I wish you all the best in your new life . I never understood why New York schools begin Sept and end June, whereas so many other states begin Aug and end May. All colleges begin Aug and end May…just don’t understand the reasoning behind it. It doesn’t bother me, just curious.
