And I just had to come tell you that I’m truly sorry about your mother. My heart aches for you. Keeping you and your family in my daily thoughts and prayers. And thank you for all the years of posting videos. I just absolutely love them. My dream was to move to Alaska but I lost my husband in 2015 and my dreams all washed away. Best do it while there is time. Time really flies by. 20 yesrs ago I was 50, I did not do what I should have done. I woke up this morning being 70 for a month now...cant dont all things I used to enjoy..my late mom once told me, she said John, when you hit 50 time will shoot by like a rocket ship. Enjoy every moment that you can..
My mother never told me that , however it is so true. I turn 71 in a couple months my mind says no problem, and my body retorts back are you fricking crazy. Do it while you can!!!

I guess we all know how you must feel. It's very hard losing a parent or a relative that you're very close to. You don't get to see them anymore and it just feels like a part of you is gone as well. I lost my Dad in 2016 and it's placed a big hole in my heart ... just like a part of me went with him. Unfortunately, we all have to go through it. Keep busy and be with your sister and/or relatives that are still around. They will need you around because they lost a part of them as well. I'm very happy that you elected to keep your channel. I always look forward to it first thing on Sunday. We all just Love you and your videos. Keep them going.

I have really enjoyed your videos. From the outdoor activities, the well drilling, the canoe trips, all those wonderful renovations and additions to your cabin. You have definitely have had a very busy 9 years. accomplished so much. I am sure you will miss the trips to get water, stacking all that firewood and trips to the adorable outhouse. But, i think my favorite videos were of you cooking all those wonderful dishes and all the prep work you had to do to get there. I have been an orphan for 11 years now… mom passed away in 2013 and God knows how much I miss her… dad, passed away waaaay too young in 1995. I wish you and Ms. Snow all the good fortune and blessing you deserve… life is amazing, we are not guaranteed tomorrow and good journey young lady!

OMG . I had to view the other comments . Prayers to Mom. Loved her kitchen table and beer visits. Bad-ass Canadian spirit , and funny too. I lost my Mom in 2023, had to visit her with a mask on, then she passed , weeks later, and I didn't hear until the next day , so I couldn't be there. That sucked. 2023 was the hardest year of my life. What I loved about this channel (and I hope maybe it will press on somewhere else? ) was the AMAZING videography , colors, textures , woodland joy. Dancing doofy- dogs, and of course Cordelia and her kin. I have faith in you, and the rest of the Canadian citizenry, y'all are so resilient . Baby Steps.

I accidentally stumbled upon your channel about 2-3 years ago. There was just something about your playful, youthful exuberance that made it impossible to turn away. I watched one episode, then another and another and before I knew it, I had been watching for about 5 hours straight. I didn't know it then but I had begun a binge of epic proportions and it was now my goal to catch up and be current with your releases. Even binging like I was, this took several months because you kept releasing new content. You were both aggravating and exhilarating at the same time as it was now a desperate need of mine to catch up. In the span of weeks, I watched your journey from season to season. Then, like Forrest Gump running back and forth across America, you started a new season again. My favorites were always the holiday ones. Especially the ones with your mom. I see where you get your charisma from. :) And the occasional skits you did. Like the "Blair Witch" type of one. I watched you work on the roads. Then build your dream house and play in the snow like a kid with your two puppies. Cook simple but delicious meals and of course not so innocently remind us you are a very attractive woman at the same time. I could NEVER do the things you did. But I loved watching you do them. I will fully admit that I watched the first two or three vids because you were VERY easy to look at. I am thinking the first vid I saw of yours was you showering/bathing in a bucket outside? First I noticed the hair that looked very similar to my gf's. Seconds later, I noticed everything else. Of course I Was going to watch. To this day, I am still trying to get her to shower in a bucket outside. Unfortunately, I have to settle for in the bathroom. Sigh. LoL. And you knew how to "innocently" flirt very well. And enjoyed doing it. But looks alone would not make me watch past a few episodes. You are not the only gorgeous woman on youtube. But your the only one I subscribed to and binge watched. It was just something about you that made me keep watching. Maybe, there was something missing in my life then and you filled that void? You truly made me feel as part of the family. Also, I Iove watching women doing traditionally male orientated things and excelling at them. Especially when you don't act like you are special because your a woman doing them. You just do them. I love how you open up and are not afraid to show mistakes and act goofy. How you are playful with your audience. How one minute you are rolling around in the mud or snow and the next dressed like your going to a 5 star restaurant in Manhattan. Then like a model on the cover of a pin up magazine. Then rolling around in the mud or snow again. You have a way of becoming not a youtuber, but a friend we enjoy hanging out with. Sadly for me, once I did catch up with your vids, some of that urgency waned for me. It was my fault. It was too much too fast. I tend to do that with computer games I love as well. I still watched the channel, just not as frequently as before. But I will NEVER forget the joy and fun of watching your adventures in that time of my life. I can only hope this channel can provide a place of solace for you when times are rough. Like it did for me when I first discovered it. You will survive and excel at whatever you do. I have no doubt about that. And many of us will always need you more than you need us at certain times. I just hope we can be a joy to you now, like you have been for us over the years. So thank you, thank you for taking me in from the wilderness and giving me shelter when I didn't even know I needed it those years ago. I am sorry this is happening to you. I had the same thing occur in my younger years, (late twenties). It's been 50 years since that time. I still missed the land and the lifestyle. I planned to return when I got older, but my wife has never understood the bond I have with the land there. If you intend to return, buy your new land now and visit it often. What you are leaving is rare. There are not a lot of places that talk to your soul.
