I had to think if I should post this or not because it's something really personal. However, the thought of me sharing this makes me feel more real to you guys. You often see the happy side of avelovinit but just so you know that I am human and I get emotional too especially when I say goodbye to Martin. I also know that a lot of you can relate to it so feel free to comment below if you're in a long distance relationship as well.

This made me cry. I'm in a Norwegian-Filipina LDR too, and the hardest part is having to say goodbye to each other. Both me and my girlfriend were like crybabies at the airport. 😂 But one day the distance isn't going to be there anymore, and there will be no more goodbyes. It will all be worth it ❤️

LDR is really hard for the two person who really love each other.I can relate to you Ave.It was 2014 that I and my husband had this long distance relationship.He visited me in the Phil for 3 times a year and evrytime that he comes back to AUSTRIA I felt that pain to bid saying goodbye and waiting for the next time when he will visit me.And finally last 2018 we got married in Austria and I moved here.. Now we are blessed by God a beautiful daughter as our first child... We've been together with my husband for almost 4 yrs now and we have a wonderful son ,yet still in long distance. We started as LDR til we got married due to call of duty. He's a Navy and I'm slowly accepting the fact that we have to be strong enough to face life and moving forward to the day we'll be in each other's arms again. Looking forward to New year!! GIrl, I could totally relate. My husband and I have been married for 21 years. We got married when I was 20 and he was 22. We meet in January 1999 and married March 1999!! YES that quick, I guess when you know, you know. You and Martin remind me of my husband and I, like a lot!! We had LDR for a year and a half and travelled to see each other every 3 months until I got my visa. My husband travels for work and that's how we met in the Philippines. When I got here in the states, I had to get a job and he had to be away a lot. He owns his business, he is Audio and video engineer. It was really hard for him to make tons of money at first and till 6-5 years ago his job finally took off. We have 2 girls now and because he is finally making a lot, I could stay home and take care of the kids. I used to travel a lot with him and that is one and still is the most Amazing Perks of his work, I could see the world with him and now it's even better because we could share and show our girls the world with us. BTW, I stumble on your proposal video which was SUPER ROMANTIC!! Martin got choked and couldn't say anything just like my husband when he proposed to me LOL. People have been telling me to blog for a long time but never had the time. After watching many videos of you and Martin inspired me especially your blog about depression, sanity is real and I'm guilty as well. I wish you both ALL the BEST on everything. You guys are very lucky with your LDR because of all the technologies that we have now. Patrice, what you posted here is very personal, very intimate and very emotional. It is also very open. As someone who has lived longer than you and Martin and who has lived through many highs and many lows in my life, I can say, based on my life's experiences, and those of others who have advised/counseled me, is that for all of us, no matter who we are, or where we live, live will throw at us many highs and many lows. There are times when things are perfect and suddenly the bottom falls out, times when we are at our lowest, and something changes and the tide turns. I guess my point here is that life is ever changing. It is not perfect for any of us. It is also terminable from the moment of conception. My advice, for what it is worth, is to embrace the good times, the moments you spend together. Do not fear the separation. It is a normal part of this kind of relationship. As Martin said, look forward to your next meeting. And embrace it when it comes. The truth is , long distance relationship, close relationship, or no relationship, life if difficult. Accept that no matter who you are there will be hard times. Be strong and get through them just like many have done before you. And embrace and enjoy the good times.

So much emotions, I feel you Ave. Thru this vid I remember back March 2018, Me and B met for the first time days before I go back to being OFW here in Middle east, we had a wonderful meaningful chill night together till 4am. So I left PH and went back to work. We still talked and we got even more close that he wanted be to be back home. I got the chance to be back home May 2018, and you know what happened, I only know is that he’s going to fetch me in the airport but when he arrived - he parked his car, reached something at the backseat, next thing I knew he was holding a big bouquet of flowers from designer blooms (which i researched was so expensive) rushing to me and hugged me so tight and left me speechless, and kissed me. It was my first time in my entire life to receive a bouquet! As in Teh! Felt like the movies! So Kilig. Watching your vlog reminds me so much of me with him for a week, just having fun eat and be with each other, on that day pa nga he was just holding my hands while he was driving. So much kilig for just one day! but then as time goes by, the more that you spend time with the love of your life felt like you want to stop time yet time flies so fast, until that day I had to go back and fly na. it was the saddest, I was holding back my tears, by the time we departed ways from dropping me at the airport, I cried after 😭 so bad. since then till now I haven’t been with him, He got more and longer distance coz he migrated in states. We could have been in Hawaii but it wasn’t meant to happened. we’ve been praying and hoping that someday against all odds and circumstances, we could finally be with each other. Hugs Ave.

I really know the feeling Ave. I lived in a long distance relationship both 5 years as a bf/gf,got married finally, but then the LDR didn’t end, he went and worked also in norway, leaving me and even pregnant that time. It was hard. Words cannot describe. The feeling of crying every night, soo soo hard reminded me again all those hardships weve been through seeing you crying as well. Cried again hehe but then trust me avee, everything well gonna happen as both of u plan your future. Just hold on u two and dont give up. Its hard be its gonna be worth it. The longest time me and my husband away from each other is 7months straight our only communication is skype and fb. It comes to the point that I don't want to fight for us anymore I can't bare the distance from each other anymore while waiting for my visa to get approved but prayer and guidance from God got me trough it. Now we our 5 years married and since I moved with him we've never been away from each other.

Im in a long distance relationship myself and havent seen my other half in 6 months, we were supposed to see each other this month but the pandemic happened. I feel you, my dear. I’m supposed to see him every month, but there was some delay in his business and so I won’t see him in another 3 weeks. (T___T) I wish I have the means to fly to him any time I wish, but I have to work and support my family. I am just glad he has the means to come to me even though he lives so far away. The last time we parted I cried for the first time in many seasons. Right now, we just share as much as we can of our daily lives to each other. Which can be tough because he’s not a millennial haha. It is really hard😭 My husband is an OFW for almost 20 years and we had just 1 month to be together during his vacation every year😭. A lot of sacrifices along the way as husband and wife, a lot of things to bear emotionally, physically and financially especially if you have children who is still studying. But GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD! Only GOD can fill that longing and we need the peace that only HE CAN FILL INSIDE OUR HEARTS😍
