It was a terrible decision to locate the stadium where they did, and there’s nothing that would make me believe that that stadium in Scottsdale wouldn’t be a boondoggle as well.
As someone whose second favorite Sport is Ice-Hockey in my hometown that is not really an Ice-Hockey Hotbed of Baltimore,MD. It's sad to see what is going on with the Coyotes. Back when NBCSN was around and was showing the late night Games. I always enjoyed seeing the Coyotes.
As a Biggest poor hearted Senators fan, my Prayers for All Phoenix Coyotes fans and players and their City and their country as well for you're GM, I donate my feelings for you all, I understand it is going to be hard, but I faith 🙏 for everyone in Phoenix, thumbs up for everyone down there
Sadly, the local news channels here in Az barley covered the hockey games, no matter their success. They will all about baseball, football and basketball. The fans we have here in Az have always hated their lack of dedication to this great sport. So them covering it now means nothing.
Oh so familiar to many whose team leaves for another city. Reminds me when the Brooklyn Dodgers left for Los Angeles. Talk about emotion. I played for their little league team back then. Corporate people should not own teams. Let the city and its populace own them. Corporate people are only interested in one thing, and you know what that is. You and I as fans do not matter.

The American sports ownership model in which a team can just be bought, uprooted, and reskinned is just plain sociopathic. The fact that a certain vocal minority of the fans here can get behind these detached billionaire owners moreso than the local people that actually care and make these sports experiences meaningful is even more sociopathic. I don't think Arizona should have ever been awarded a professional hockey team at the expense of the hockey community in Winnipeg, but damn, it still hurts to see them go
That is an excellent comment! I have a real problem with these billionaires who leave these multi million dollar construction projects behind, often for reasons that are trivial such as renegotiating vendor contracts.
This would hurt alot less if they were not changing and reinventing the team.. The Jazz didnt change for you people Why should the Coyotes!! What a waste to just not use the Kachina and extended the size of the pack.. No backstabbing the fans and completely throwing away a teams existence is wrong.. Utah should have a team 100% But not the Coyotes. They need their own expansion team with their own logo and name.
The irony of ownership wanting fan loyalty, which they have had, but then selling out the team to whomever offers the most money and incentives for owners. Screw pro sports and their pseudo "local team" "your team" BS. Some great names have come through the Yotes line-up, and still not enough I guess.
And of course Gary Buttman who allowed this BS charade to last for as long as it did! The writing was on the wall since at least the late 2000s (I first heard about the Yotes woes in the old ROTJ forums)...
