I read a Chinese proverb that states "An invisible red thread connects those that are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break." and it made me think of this video/song

My wife walked down the aisle to this song in 2023. It was one of our very favorite songs and now it's got a whole new level of Love associated with it. Thank you Braden

This was supposed to be played at our wedding. Instead, it was played at her funeral.. Before meeting her I felt like I was just floating through time. She gave me a reason to care, to want something, a reason to push myself to be the best I could. Since she's been gone, I'm floating again. Just a feather in the wind with no direction.

This made me cry, long time has passed since I discovered this guy 8 years ago. All of the sudden I remembered one of his songs and here I am. You never dissapoint me. I love you so much!

This music video is absolutely teeming with symbolism! Here's some that caught my eye! In the opening, he's seen burying feathers. The feathers represent what was left of the time his heart felt alive. (In prior music videos, feathers are a very prominent symbol used by Brayden and have various interpretations. Go listen to both "Pavement" and the acoustic version, respectively. Look for the feathers and pay attention to the setting) The treasure box represents his most valued treasure-what's left of his heart; three pieces. Treasure is typically "dug up" which is why it is shown to be buried and unburied so prominently in the location where his heart once felt alive; the setting. The couple spend time together and as key points of their relationship happens he is seen pulling out what's left of his "treasure" and giving it to the girl. Eventually he runs out of his "treasure" and frantically searches for where the remainder could be. He doesn't find it, and gives up, taking off the panda head. The girl shows up at the setting (she has the "key" to his "treasure") and gives him her "treasure" which is representing: her heart, the "key" , and the pieces he gave to her. She helps him put the "treasure" in the treasure box. They each gave up their hearts to one another. They rebury the treasure in the setting meaning his heart feels alive. She then takes off the panda head and they are seen being slowly pulled back together ((like Yin&Yang)) by the "red string of fate" which ties itself together, implying an unbreakable bond. (inside Chinese mythos, the 'binding of fated lovers' is represented by a red string- split in half and always searching to make itself 'whole again' by slowly being pulled together) The panda heads potentially represent three things: 1.) Inside Chinese mythos, the panda is regarded symbolically as Yin&Yang (Peace and Harmony) 2.) It represents their common interests and feelings for one another. They go together like Yin&Yang. 3.) A metaphorical emotional mask. During all the "romantic" scenes of the couple in the video, they are always wearing them. It also plays a key role in showcasing their first "Eskimo Kiss" (Red pandas snuggle with their snouts as a greeting. The Eskimo are known to have greeted each other this way because they couldn't use their mouths in the frigid temperatures.) In modern romance, it's a cute gesture that equates to a kiss. (The couple couldn't because of the masks) Foot Notes: There is a scene of the panda heads together- without their owners in the place he buried the feathers. This implies that his emotional mask was both made there put to rest there. For her, she didn't need hers once he dropped his. They served their purpose and is no longer the fabric holding them together, but will always be together, as they are fated lovers.
