So, with the legacy thing you didn't understood, you have to click in the upgraded slot and check the small icon to the left of the slot UI to see the legacy effects. Or mouseover the food/money/science generated by the stuff to see the legacy on the tooltip

The limestone had like base 60, I was nearly crying at the screen when you were breaking the Redstone instead of just placing down the limestone 🥲

There is no reason to stay this long in the beginning era, once you've set up your cities (and match the criteria for the desired age) you can move on the the First Era which gives you actually something to work towards. This allows you to hold on to population/science/wealth for longer so that you can use it the later ages, once you are just "this" short of completing an age objective.

The top left resources are what you currently have for the eon shop... If you hover over each resource there it tells you your actual generation... You had way more tech already and wasted so much time solving a non existing problem
