This MV is so lit that deserves million views. The hidden messages are so beautiful. Every small details have meaning. The facts that even the names they used for the girls u can make meaning to it. Kudos to Justin and all the members and staff . very creative MV.
The characters in the MV are SB19 members. Each of them tackles heart breaks in different forms crossing different time lines. Starting from the past. Sejun and Justin exist 2009 where apparently they're classmates who fall in love with their friends in the same circle(6 members in total as seen in the photo held by Sejun) but never get to confessed their feelings for reasons that Aly,Justin's love interest needs to go away to study somewhere,and Sejun's because she died in an accident in 2015 for their reunion,and four left injured including Justin and Sejun where he's seen seated on a wheelchair at the end of the video. Aly,apparently wasnt involved in the accident bec.she had moved away. Now present exists where Josh is seen coming back to his childhood place reminisces his young love and visits the place where his never-died love continues. He stumbles upon a young girl who happens to be his never-died love's child. He hands over the promised/couple red thread bracelet to the girl before she goes back to her parents,and the focus pans to the wrist of the mother (Athena,carved on the tree with Josh's name) with the same exact bracelet. Josh realises that his love is never coming back as Athena is already settled and happy,so he stretches a subtle smile as his goodbye. Future then comes(2034,shown on Stell's note)where Stell who works as a barista happens to fall for one of their customers,the catch is he has to let go of his feelings as the girl is already taken. Ken as seen making art graffiti is in love with someone who's in love with the same gender,and as a twist of fate,the girl he likes is the child of Athena-Josh's love,she's seen wearing the bracelet Josh gifted her when they met accidentally 19 yrs ago(2015-2034). Ken's graffitis are festooned with different colors with the word LOVE as the main theme/subject that gives a hint that love knows no gender. I'm a fan & proud of #SB19 esp. Justin, my bias. They said in a recent vlog that they wanted the viewers to think & pay attention to details (no spoon feeding). Just wanted to share my thoughts about the mv. 2009 -- Justin & Sejun were SB National High School classmates Justin's crush left after Jr year to study in her dream school. He decided not to confess his feelings, letting her go; he really missed her. Sejun had a crush too, both stayed in the same school. Fast forward 2015 Reunion tragedy (accident) reported by SBalita news -- 1 dead (Sejun's love), 4 injured. Sejun was paralyzed & wheelchair-bound, finding comfort in music. Not clear if Justin & his crush were also in the accident. Fast forward 2019 Sejun & Josh were riding on the same bus SB Transit. Josh just returned to his hometown, learned that his childhood love already had her own family. (He gave his red wristband to a little girl playing in the park, she turned out to be his love's daughter.) Sejun was still grieving, obviously broken-hearted. Fast forward 2034 Barista Stell had a crush on a regular SB (so brew) customer, learned later that she was already taken. Stell, he likes a girl who always visit the cafe but later on he found out that she is in a relationship and the sad part is the girl wasnt able to read his last message. Frame was justins - He's friendly in the outside but deep inside when he really likes someone he can't express it. ken being a dancer. Justin was the one looking at the school's Bulletin Board & with Aly (blue haired girl). [Summary] 2009 - Justin, Josh, Sejun, Aly, Constantine & Athena were group of friends. After their junior high Aly got a scholarship & transfered to other school. Justin didn't confess to her thinking it might affect the girls decision if ever he confess or might also affect their friendship (that's only my take on Justin). 2015 - Justin, Josh, Sejun & their female friends had a reunion that resulted to tragedy which one is confirmed dead & the rest was critical. 2019 - Sejun & Josh reminiscing their past while Justin didn't appear in this time frame. I guess he was in coma since the tragedy. Josh went to the park where he used to play with Athena his childhood friend/crush. 2034 - Stell work in a cafe. He like the girl that he usually served & leave some note in her table but the girl didn't see it but one day she finally saw it & was looking around for someone who might leave it. Unfortunately Stell was so shy to show himself. In the end he's not only serving the usual one coffee but instead two since the girl he like found someone she love. Ken fell in love at first sight with a tomboyish girl but the girl is in a relationship already with another girl. Clues how their stories connected: After the tragedy the survivors gone with their separate ways & then it got connected in 2034. It look like still is Sejun's son (the coffee mug that Sejun drinking at looks like the one Stell serving at the cafe) while the girl that Ken like is Athena's daughter. When Josh went back (2019) to the park where he & Athena played, there was a tomboyish little girl whom he met & gave her his red string bracelet then the little went to her parents & Josh saw a very same bracelet that the little girl's mom was wearing too. This is my theory Justin is the one who was wearing uniform. He has a crush on Aly (the girl in violet hair). Justin is about to confess his feeling to the girl but it's too late because Aly with go abroad for her to get scholarship. Justin and Sejun are friends. You'll see the picture that Sejun's holding and he's with Justin. They are both from the past (2009). Sejun is crying because his love died in an accident. The news paper said "Reunion, ended in tragedy" year 2015. That time Sejun and his friends had a reunion and there is an accident happened. It says "1 died, 4 injured" and that 1 is the girl who Sejun visited. As you see at the end, Sejun is on wheelchair because he's also at the reunion and he got injured. Sejun is at the same bus with Josh (year 2019). You will see Josh at the back of Sejun in Bus scene. Josh visited the playground where he and Athena (Josh's love/childhood bestfriend) used to play.
