They hugged each other for like 20 mins. after the presscon while crying and consoling each other on the back stage. This is heartbreaking, that's why Stell is so sensitive when people criticize his looks and eventually he lost his confidence but I think right now in this era, he is braver cause he knows his worth already.

I hate media who provoke bad drama and negative reactions to the artist or group so they can scoop up juicy front news. All I can say is how Im proud that SB19 was able to handle brutal question. Filipino press who doesnt know what theyre covering and asking question that is irrelevant, they dont research the subject, they just question what they see. fcking annoying! Sb19 handled them well by covering question meant for the other members and protecting their identity as a person. This is brotherhood
Yep ,, same feeling i don't know why but it seems that today social media especially here in the Philippines release issues and content that doesn't make sense or just entirely negative ,, most of interviewers nowadays wants something from you like scandalous or issues or drama stuff cause that's what they think people would want to know .. like a bad scoop about this and that and i don't understand why.. it's really a pity ,, becoming so called ''professional'' make them stupid and unethical.
The thing is, one of these rude press members already passed away(as I heard from an A'tin friend and as I read from some comments). R.I.P. to him but I just want to say, Maegan kinda predict it.

We could see how the oldest member Josh and the pinuno Sejun stood up and protected their group... they remained respectful despite of the insult and bashing question from the rude press... but in the end, they won more hearts because of their humbleness and respectfulness (they keep on using "po", which Filipino uses when addressing elders).... the bashers should be biting their arms now with the success SB19 expanding worldwide... yes... its true that after this press conference i read, when the full interview video was uploaded in 2019.... they hug for a long time and cried.... truly SB19 characters are stronger now... and their talents could not be denied... thanks for your continuing love to SB19
As an A'TIN for almost 2 years, I really didn't bother to finish this interview. It really affects my mental health, I just feel so sorry for the boys.
That’s probably the reason why they had a moderator in their Dunkin presscon, where the female host stopped the boys from responding if the questions were too personal or too private for them to answer w/c was a very good move from their management, well, but they were already big when the Dunkin presscon took place, but this one was ages ago when they were just rookies and Pinoy press here can be very vicious to newcomers. I heard that the boys were reduced to tears backstage right after this dreadful ordeal. I think those press people just made fun of SB19 thinking that this presscon was just a waste of their time, so they just hurled fireballs and stones at the boys just for fun of it and to kill time.
I do think the same way. It's because they're not yet famous at that time and that gave those rude interviewers courage to throw whatever questions they like just so they'll gain bad and malicious tabloid headlines.
How I wish I had watched the DUNKIN Presscon. Every presscon should have a moderator I suppose. But the media people in this particular SB19 interview was just being rude, they mistaking honesty to rudeness and it's a shame Filipino Media has them as members.

I can't even imagine how SB19 continued using "po" in their statements after all those rude questions. I mean those on the press side just did not deserve such respect from SB19. But well, we all know that those 5 boys are just so mature and respectful to ever stoop down to their level.

@@ramonaa8962 I read some articles from Tatang Robin asking people to stop hating on them and to be careful with words because they are still young and gets hurt and to just talk to him instead. I think these were during the times that there were too much bashing to them that some of them chose to block some fan accounts.

i'm filipino myself and that mindset of "filipino pride" can be toxic sometimes tbh. they asked how sb19 is gonna represent the ph when they sound similar to "kpop" (which pablo explained so well). it's like saying "when you gain international attention, we support you. if you can't, then we don't care about you." filipinos are only proud when an artist is able to please an international audience, thus representing the whole philippines. but why can't sb19 represent THEMSELVES first? most filipinos have a very superficial way of "nationalism."

Thank you Kpopsis for loving SB19 but that is the truth here in the Philippines there are people who only look at their appearance. If they had seen the talent of SB19 from the beginning, they would have seen more Ppop groups known internationally. They all threw criticisms and discrimination on SB19 but because of their dreams and perseverance they proved that the criticisms against them were wrong..many Ppop groups are now also trying for their dreams. SB19 started and managed so for sure other Ppop groups can do the same.
It is now August 19, 2024; this interview was done when SB 19 were just newly introduced to the public, when they were not yet known. They were mocked by the same Filipino people who were supposed to be supporting their own, OUR OWN FILIPINO boy band; but the boys were still very respectful, courteous, and professional in answering despite the rudeness and demeaning comments by the media. Now SB 19 songs (GENTO, MAPA, etc) and the group are internationally known, and are recognized for their HUGE contribution in promoting our Filipino songs, the PPOP songs. They remain humble, respectful and grateful to everyone supporting them. HAIL to our PPOP KINGS!
I remembered how they cried so hard in the backstage while hugging each other after this press conference. This is so heartbreaking and painful to watch. But still this is one of the reasons why they were still pursuing to continue to fight for their dreams. Fighting SB19 and A'TIN!
For sure all A'tin have a broad understanding, knows what music is, and are open minded. We still have a lot of barriers to overcome mga kaps. I still don't think SB19 are getting the recognition they deserve here in our country. If some (or a lot) of Filipinos didn't like them, I just hope they won't drag them down because they're just our fellow Filos trying to achieve their dreams. When a bad question is thrown during press conferences like this....it shows more of how good the questions are being answered by SB19 than how bad the questions are being given. I ended up whispering to myself, "i stan the right group"! Their answers had the weight of sincerity, humility, wisdon, and will. Nope, not even the worse question shook them. How can you not be proud of these 5 gentlemen here. It is my first time to watch the vid and while the people asking were filled with ignorance, our dear boys were patiently educating them. Stell, justin, josh, pablo, ken.......thank you for making us all proud....always was and always will be. 💙
its quite painful. The way they handle the presscon only prove that they are professional. The way they answer with respect while the interviewers is being kinda disrespectful. Im proud of you kpop sis for reacting this kind of video you're so strong. I really love the way you react to the boys. And the main problem here in the Philippines they biased in looks but not in talent. It's so sad that if there would be an audition they will prioritize someone who looks good than someone who have talent. Like if you're beautiful then you will be famous even though you dont have talent. It's sad that talent is being unprioritized here they normalized that kind of situations. So others we're being insecure because here in the Philippines they have this unhelpful beauty standards. It's so sad that all those talent goes to waste.
The true blue A'Tin has accepted all these five amazing men not only for their positive attributes but more importantly despite all their flaws and shortcomings! The A'Tin heart loves these magnificent human beings unconditionally and no amount of bad mouthing or belittling will make us question our decision to stan and protect them. All of us w/out any exception do make mistakes and bad judgments as we go through life but what is truly inspiring is the ability for anyone to pick up the pieces, learn from the experience and thrive along the journey! SB19 is the consummate artist who brings all that to anyone they are able to touch through their craft!
I was already a fan when the original video was still up. That was still in Aurum era. It broke my heart. Everybody there was bombarding them with unnecessary questions. I cried when Tatang Robin took the mic and defended them. I pulled through the hour long video because i also wanted to experience the pain that they went through, sitting in front of everyone and act like what they were saying didn't bother them. And my respect for the members went so high. they handled everything soooo so well. After watching the video, i still chose to be a fan. I knew ignorant people would also have this mindset so I promised to protect them. That's why it really makes me happy seeing them starting to reach their success now. I never doubted their journey. This is the edited interview, and while I’m glad you didn’t watch full one, there were other interviewers who asked sensible and positive questions. You’d even hear comments saying how professionally the boys are behaving. BUT this made the boys (or these men, because how they act isn’t childish at all) all the more stronger and determined to succeed. When I read Pablo’s lyrics of What? and saw Justin’s choice of using newspapers, it was really clear to me what they were hitting. This. And fortunately (or unfortunately) for Stell, he will ALWAYS stand out and be noticed. Most first time reactors see him before the others. He’s not tagged as the visual but he’s just got that “it factor” for quite a few people. He’s insanely talented and I hate how he has been beaten down so much. On the positive side, this made them so much closer and protective of each other. We can see why Pablo is Pinuno, and Josh is the fighter and spokesperson. It’s painful, but this is exactly why I’m so passionate about them. 💙💙💙

Confession. I'm so glad I gave these boys a chance. When I first saw their 'Go Up' video, I thought, "oh no... they've done it" (in a negative way). At the time, I couldn't handle how much the so-called "K-pop" style was injected into their image. I was trying to rationalize my emotions and overall opinion of them by asking my friends how they felt after watching the same MV. It didn't really help. So I slept on it. Exactly one year later, and they ended up as the #1 spot in my music playlist for that year that passed (2020 -- arguably the most stressful year for the many of us). I have so much to say, but it really all just comes down to this: I'm so proud of them for sticking together all this time, and hope they continue to do amazing things for the OPM (yes, I said it) industry. Filipinos are one of the most culturally susceptible nations on the planet, and it's about time that we own it. It's what makes us "us," and we can't move forward if we are going to be insecure about ourselves because our identity is so ambiguous. Mad props to the brothers of SB19 for handling this presscon so professionally. Mad props to them for crying afterward as well. Why? Because that is how we deal with struggle -- as humans. And what happened afterward? They picked themselves back up and continued doing what they were doing with full intention and an even greater passion. THAT'S how you succeed. SAKALAM!

This is not the full video. Some context may have been left out. But in the first part, Stell was noticed to have a more feminine look because of his colored hair and make-up. Although Josh has colored hair too, Stell's make-up is more prominent than Josh. Hence, the stupid question of his styling... Dont worry Im pissed too.

sadly the reality in Filipino showbiz is that looks and physical appearances are often more prioritized over true talent and hard work. and since SB19 wasn't under a major network, i'm sure many of the press there didn't take SB19 seriously and thought they wouldn't be successful. but despite that SB19 proved them all wrong, just look at where SB19 is now.
Yeah sadly, some Filipinos suffer from colonial mentality too. The fact that KPOP boy groups wear makeups too but you do not hear criticisms from Filipinos. To them, that is acceptable. But when SB19 wears a little make up to make them look fresh on their public appearances they call them names like 'wannabes, copycats, gay, tryhards, etc..I even read one stupid ambitious comment on Twitter where a fan went to the extent of saying "BTS did so much for her" like really??? Are you and BTS family or something?? And this is the reason why she will not vote for SB19 😂 feelingerang nananaginip kahit gising pa! When I first watch this I almost cried. During that time they are just starting. They really answer the question very well. Now, I think they really need to have that interview because they need to prove that PPOP is PPOP. Boys really paved the way. They are stronger after that. And I know that this time it will not happened again. Because we are here for them. A'tin will definitely fight for them.

I ignore this vid before. I am an A'TIN for a year and half now but I had this guts to finally see this. Some said, they really devastated after this presscon. I respect our boys more. 💙
