As a 90's kid,Yes your right Chuck. Yan din ang naisip ko noong first time ko silang napanood. Bumalik pagka fangirl ko bcoz SB19 reminds me of BACKSTREET BOYS,NSYNC,WESTLIFE and A1. NO wonder na madaming 80's and 90's kids ang A'tin.😊
lately lng concert ng BSB grabe mga songs dn nla ung porma, ganda boses and connect to audience and style sb19 na minahal nmin mga 90's not a kpop never naging influence ng kpop sila. dhl dati pa meron ng pop like foreign pop
I'm a tito already and I am a BSB solid fan (watched their concert last Monday) and it's no coincidence that I came to like SB19 too cause unconsciously there is a similarity.
This is it ! Chuck? Ayoko lng bangitin noon n mas similar Sila Ng back streetboys Mas west dating Nila Hindi KPOP! saka string !? Kya Hindi Ako nag sasawang panoorin Sila ! Kasi Hindi pere pareho step n ginagawa! Galing mo chuck! Mabigyan mo kmi ng idea!!!
Thanks for this Chuck. One of the reasons why I love SB19 is because they really remind me of BSB. My fave boyband back in the 90's to early 2k's. But they don't want to be called boyband anymore rather "harmony group".
shocks!! totoo to!! mas gusto ko sila makita na kinocompare sa NSYNC tsaka BSB kase may similarities naman talagaaaa tsaka wala pa yung kpop yun na talaga yung idols nila makikita mo naman sa mga choreos nilaaa ahhh basta i love this comparisonnnn!! I LOVE THEM ALL!! SB19xBSBxNSYNC
You make a great comparison or more like realization. We keep comparing them to KPOP because of their former company and, like Pablo said, "It's what's popular at the moment." And in a sense, KPOP did have an influence on them because of that cultural inertia. But for the majority of their lives, they like many MANY Filipinos, listened and were influenced by western music; BSB, NSYNC, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, etc. and newer ones still.
I'm hoping, that soon eh cover nila ang song ng BSB na " I'll never break your heart " super bagay yun sa voice's nila thanks cashual chuck lagi ko po sinusubaybayan mga videos nyo keep it up❤😊
yes i agree with you bec. im batang 90's at nakikita ko nga sa SB19 ang BSB, NSYNC, WESTLIFE and A1 it means world class talaga ang MAHALIMA natin kaya pala ganun na lang yung naging impact sa akin ng MV ng GENTO nila kasi that time hindi ko maipaliwanag kung bakit ganun na lang ang paghanga ko sa kanila now i know bec. of that ang galing i love you SB19
Napakahusay tlaga mas maganda at interesting what u make for the our beloved mahalima. If ganito kahusay ang nkapost sa sb19 official more casuals will be following even dna cnsbi to like & subscribe dna umuusad eh..
Thank u very much for this vid, it is really coincidence u featured my 2 faves boy band s before Backstreet boys & now SB19..Kaya pala gustong-gusto ko ang SB19 now kc may resemblance cla Idols ko noon Backstreetboys💕💕💕💕💕
Same po.both bsb army and a'tin fandom here..sila lang talaga nastan ko na boy group.grabe yung charisma, talent, tiaka stage presence nila..and both talaga sila na passionate and both started from rough beginnings too
As a big fan of BSB i do agree with you Chuck. I must admit that at first i thought they (SB19) were just a pinoy group kpop wannabe but when i heard some more of their songs especially their ballads i became a fan. I see them as the younger version of BSB. BSB19 fan here!❤💙
Grabe yung theories. And i love it. 😊.. iba ka gumawa ng content chuck. It’s really entertaining and kudos sa pag pag research, edit, and all. Don’t lose that passion. We cashual are always here.😊
Damn.. right..they really resemble BSB... first time ko sila nakita hindi ka pa naglalabas ng ganitong commentary sabi ko parang sila yung susunod sa yapak ng BSB kasi their voices are very similar and their vibes...
I already knew that they're more influenced and having a bit of similarities from the western styles back then like N'sync, BSB, and more cuz it's already obvious just from the way how they wear clothes such as the way how they did at the WYAT MV. Thanks Chuck for clearing things out for our boys to let others know that they aren't really Kpop influenced, Love this vid btw♡
Mas mahahalintulad mo talaga sila sa BSB and NSYNC. Kasi gumagawa lagi sila ng ballads or love songs.
OMG you do have point with their voices, its like the Look Alike people, history repeat itself,Now im thinkin of greater hand arrange everything in a like a coded or something.
Yeah.. tama ka jan bro.. noon pa man di ko sila kinumpara sa Kpop, BSB tlaga nakikita ko sa kanila, kaya di rin ako affected sa mga haters comparing them with kpop.. sa mga adlibs nlang every live performance bilib talaga ako sa MAHALIMA, amd sorry pero di ko nkita yun sa kpop or kung meron man, my bad.. basta more on western vibe sila for me, combine with intense training ng kpop, kaya ang ganda ng resulta.. SB19 it is... 😉 its just meh..
This is one thing that I like about Cashual Chuck, he loves dissecting and figuring out things as a true A'tin does, but man - he's like someone in the classroom who got the highest score coz he presented his things with diligent research and was well substantiated. Thanks chuck. The last one is a thing to ponder, at least for me.
And i wouldn't even be surprise if the COM.PLEX EP of Felip and Wild Tonight of JC are just a mere teaser of what is yet to come from SB19. 😎 Remember what Stell said before in their LA intrview, next from them will be braver, stronger and sexier (even tho he's joking around here, or was he not? 😜)
Yah!I agree that they're more on the Western influeced rather than compared to be a KPOP copycats. When it comes to music, we Pilipinos are more versatile than Koreans, I think everyone will agree with me!
I guess it will be a long time before people will forget that SB19 is a group that's not a KPOP copycat because they had been under a Korean Entertainment Company and they did dance covers of KPOP artists. We are greatful for these because it also made them to be who they are today. But people should also be open minded. They should also understand that they grow as a group and as individuals. Just because KPOP is really popular now that all group will be LIKE KPOP ALL THE TIME. I in one time in my life stanned a KPOP boygroup but I also stanned a GERMAN Pop Rock band and a Thai boygroup. Just like the saying goes: THE ONLY THING CONSTANT IN THIS WORLD IS CHANGE. I remember reading comments about people that don't fanboy/fangirl and didn't imagine to be one before but do now and HARD because of SB19. That's one big example of change. Eventually everything will be in its own rightful place because of the changes around us.
Yeah! BSB and NSYNC!! 2 of my favorite boy bands! Actually, I've waited Soo long for us Filipinos to have someone like them. Geez! I'm already 36 yrs old. Hahaha. My fan girling era has done. But I'm surprisingly back because of these peeps 🎉❤
HI Kap's Chuck! This is Lorena Racan in the house yow 😉🤘from the Jeje A'tin couple klawt cheyser's channel! 😂 Ka birthday nga rin pala yata ni Justin ang Papa Efren niya kaya very relevant talaga sa kaniya ang 7 at you forgot na sa channel 7 naman ang 1st exposure ni Justin Pinoy Henyo ng Eat Bulaga with his friend' s K TROPS! 😜 Actually fate ng MAHALIMA talaga na maging successful dahil it was God's plan, wala naman talaga'ng co incidence, kumbaga sa bahay na ipagagawa may blue print na or pattern. 💙 Slmt sa iyo'ng effort's sa mga mini docu's about our P pop King's & other P pop group's & O. P. M. as well! 🙏 I remember na may isa nga ata'ng half Pinoy member ang Back street Boy's, sad lang ako for Nick Carter dahil nauna pa'ng namatay 'yung younger bro. niya na si Aaron Carter due to I think drug overdose not sure. Inspiring din talaga ang pinagdaanan ng BSB at until now they're still friend' s na siya rin namang gusto'ng mangyari ng Esbi if time will past, at oo naman may napatunayan na sila as a group sa O. P. M., isa na sila'ng mga haligi o alamat tapos individually pa ngayon, sana nga tularan ng mga young aspirant ang hardwork, dedication' s at passion nila na ibinigay sa talent's ng bawa't isa at sa 'yo kap' s Chuck & A'tin this is it, our zone! ❤️🇵🇭🔥🌭🍓🐓🌽
Also as I was watching Josh's MV last night one of the dance moves always remind me of seeing it before but now I remember that it was from BSB's Everybody MV now that I've seen this video of yours. Anyways another great video Chuck. Always keeping us informed and entertained at the same time. May the heavens bless you more and your family always.
This is very interesting!…I’m so impressed with your work, son !…you always have something that would make the viewers in awe…thanks again for entertaining us with your SB19 contents…more power to your RU-vid channel !
Tama naman yung sinabi ni Pablo eh. The reason they’re being compared to Kpop is coz Kpop is the in thing nowadays. Pero kung tutuusin, lahat naman ng Kpop & OPM, & even other pop music, influenced ng iba’t-ibang genre at group. Kung di lang tinanggap ang Kpop ng publiko, SB19 would’ve been compared to pop groups like BSB & NSYNC. Btw, tnx for this video. I enjoyed watching it.
Totally agree with this! This is what I have been thinking all this time. They are really more comparable to BSB and NSync. They are more like a western boyband than KPop since they sing all types of genres including ballads with harmonizations. And good thing is they can even sing rock songs like Ken and even Pablo with his maangas solo songs.
Kuhang kuha mo talaga yung points ko Kuys! ever since I heard Love Goes I knew they are more on the Western jusko pati mga dances yung influences nila wew kaya gustong gusto ko sila dahil ang ganda ng mga outcome ng mga masterpiece nila by being influenced by so many artists in every genres ✨❤️
Wow Chuck this is another amazing content.. well researched.. your analysis are on point.. people may agree, my reaction is "oo nga ano"..thank you as always
Another Amazing video from the genius mind himself(chuck) can't imagine all the research & reviews you made for this video chuck..at na connect mo talaga lahat.. 👏👏👏👍🤘💞
atleast songs in the US bands in the 90's had souls or feels which not only talents and dance skills. like NKOTB, BSB, NSYNC so true that SB19 influence by them.
I think i do agree with you. they've got much influence from the west than the koreans.know why coz the west is been w/ us even we were born.,the talent is inborn.the koreans just come up lately lng. everything from koreans is new to us i think were just too curious and we want something new to explore. And I would say we have our own music tlga we only have to support to boost the artist coz if you really hear the tagalog words is already a music lalo n ang mga lumang salita.
Yup, totally agreed, they are more like Western groups than Kpop groups for me. Hehehe. While Kpop groups are popular at the present time, hindi ako naging fan nila. At lalo kong nagustuhan ang group nila, especially, si Pablo, noong sinabi ni Sejun/Pablo sa post niya noon sa twitter in September 2020: "I AM NOT NOR I INTEND TO BE THE PERSON YOU CALL 'IDOL'. My beliefs and experiences made me who I am. I am who I am, I feel good and at the same time, bad about it." (Marami pa siyang dinagdag. Pero I liked when he also mentioned: "Since 1994 up to this day, I AM STILL ME, NOTHING CHANGED. The only change I aim for is the BETTER me-- all for Eternal Love and Peace of Mind."
The incorporation of professional dancing and choreo makes them "look" like kpop and reminds a little of Michael Jackson dancing and music. But the sound of their songs, they vary... the song what reminds me of the way Bohemian Rhapsody is arranged in a way like there are different sounds/songs in one but with dancing. Gento reminds me of Pressure/Allentown/Youre only human (?) By billy joel because of the use of different sounds from tools to make music but more like rock mixed with hiphop and rap, Ilaw reminds of soft rock music almost feeling like nickleback with a bit Rod Stewart but because of a sound incorporating emotions it reminds of how it makes me feel listening to sinead O'Conner. Mana is what differentiates them from others. It's not too dark in sound, the dance is their best i think, it's almost like punk rock, there's still that bohemian Rhapsody arrangement but it's not that noticeable when the Ken sung the low part then they all joined in, then stell's high note then the there's that sound like in the mountain king melody... mapa is like a proper opm ballad that has been updated elegantly but with leaves one with the same feels as Gary Granada's walang hanggang paalam and the old song Duyan ni nanay (tama ba? The composer is from province of Rizal). Then the obvious ones like r&b, edm mix, liham honestly sounds like church hymn the Madrigal singers can use them competitions.... even Mapa... I'm not a fan of kpop... i honestly had a hard time listening to kpop but aside from western sounds i enjoy latin music, african traditional music, african rhumba, afro beats, reggae even those in languages i do not understand... there's something about the melodies that sounds melodious to my Pinoy ears. This makes me feel that they do not sound kpop at all.
Yep. I listened to kpop. But I honestly didn't fell for it, I can't find what I'm really into in their music. Like you know, I love westlife and backstreet boys .. 🙊 Then when I discovered SB19, it's all over me. Now I'm obsessed.
Yes I actually do agree that Sb19 are also similar to the Western pop culture! I thought about this when I was watching their Binibining Pilipinas because I was instantly hit with a feeling of Nsync and Backstreet boys vibes! Lots of support Chuck!
