“‘What?’ is about self-love and empowerment. Each of us has our own flag. We should be proud of it and raise it as much as we can. As SB19 and as individuals, we know that we’re not the best at everything, but that shouldn’t stop us from what we want to achieve,” said lead vocalist Pablo.
Explanation: "The whole video tells their story from scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down. Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound Kpop and there will never be a Ppop. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think Justin is a dreamer. Looking at the Earth but blindfolded. Stell hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be plenty of fruits. Ken is like a king in a throne made of junk. He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has the power now, our feet should always be on the ground. Josh in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do. Then the dreamer Justin finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality. Seeds from Stell's hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm, it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a general signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually, the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes, Ppop is real. We have our own sound, our own music! Thats why Filipinos, let us all raise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark which represents each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own flag to raise. The music video shows what hope, courage, determination and God above can do! 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤ " - Jerickson Bacay
JUSTIN -the youngest is the CREATIVE DIRECTOR of this MV PABLO -LYRICIST and one of the music producer together with his brother, Jay Durias and Simon Servida SB19- Choreo together with Tank B
Im just gonna join you with Dope... Dope! yeah that's dope.... this is dope! cant stop sayin dope! cant say anything but dope! hahaha ✌🏻 the more I listen to it, the lyrics, makes me soft and reflect on myself. this really about self love and raising your own flag.
The map at the end is actually the Murillo Velarde Map (it's an old map of the Philippines) that proves that the Scarborough shoal or west Philippine Sea is still part of the Philippines...dont you think it is also a symbol 🤔
It's sad that Stefan can't make it. I can feel he really likes SB19. Anyway, the tattoos are just for the MV. I miss your SB19 contents. Thanks for this. 💙☺️
Been waiting for your RV. Most of the reactors that I've watched in the past few days.. they mostly say that they need to rewatch it again as there's so much happening in one music video. They can't catch up with everything. Now I heard the same exact words from you. Thank you for reacting to their MV.
Oh you're back at SB19. Thank you. Missed this reactions.. SB19 are unstoppable by doing in another level of music with angst and brighter side, they want to try different genre not just pop and its pretty amazing they kick it off the BEST esp. putting the deep meaning of the lyrics by Pablo which he says it's about Love and Empowerment. Thank you so much.
Nice to watch you REACTiNG to SB19 again .. though I miss STEFAN too coz we both love, Stell's Vocals .. hope he can react to this MV too 😁 I'm happy that you loved it!
A lot of reactors said something similar: dope video, it‘s like multiple songs in one song, and watching the MV is like watching a movie. It really is a visually-rich video, together with that thought-invoking/meaningful messages. To fully appreciate the MV, one really has to watch it at least twice. Glad you‘re doing it.
The analysis of the song by A’TIN is already out. You can also watch the lyrics video, part of Philippine history is also incorporated. I was really amazed.
Hey eindelijk! Haha ik heb je/jullie(Stefan)om die MV What reactie gewacht. Ik heb je op Instagram gevolg en die link gestuurd. Hahaha het was al lang geleden. Maar “beter late than never”!😜😊 thanks for the reaction. Just to inform you Pablo(as usual the one who wrote this song)and he did co-producer. Justin( the creative director) SB19 (did choreographed with tank Bautista).

1:42 i agree... most of the reactors say that WHAT looks like base on BTS .. but for me, it sounds and looks like a Big Bang MV... Bang Bang or Fantastic Baby.. but of course.. the lyrics of WHAT id very Filipino. WATAWAT = FLAG. Raise that Filipino Flag!
Trivia: The map at the end of the video, it is the 1734 Murillo Map, which is the mother of all Philippines Map. It played a role in the Philippines winning the Scarborough schoal arbitration case versus China.
Finally.... As you promis you will do it this sunday, Thanks for the reaction😘😘 keep safe God bless you always 😊 i just miss your brother Stefan reacting with you
it is #SB19's respond to their bashers and haters (unfortunately mostly are filipinos)... even though how much trash they throw, they will not stop pursuing their dreams...they invoke God as their shield and protection.... and never be afraid to walk against the tide if you believe is right... raise high your personal flag....according to #SB19 leader Pablo it is about self-empowerment and self-love... thank you for reacting to #SB19...
Thank you for this vid. If you have time, please react to the lyrics, it's really dope too! Hehe. MV Creative Director is Justin; song written and co-produce by Pablo; and, choreography by SB19 and Tank Bautista. ^^
What? is the title bec. it was came from the playful word of "Watawat!" means "Flag" in english and from the lyrics itself, like for example "Bawat banat, iwagayway mo ang watawat" It's not only the flag of the Philippines they are talking. it's also refer to everyone, our individual flag as well! "What?" bec. it also asking a question what flag are you holding on or what flag are you being proud of! That was the reason why they also used question mark as a symbol! Thanks for reacting! #Sb19 #WHat?
