We are the forgotten Asians, us from the Southeast. That the Philippines is teeming with pure talent and isn't dominating the world of music really fries my egg. That SB19 might be the first group to break that glass ceiling has me all hyped!
I watched the reaction from By The Graces, they are pretty pinays raised in Dubai and they even cried hearing the word Pilipinas, I guess it hits different when young people outside Pinas hear it in a song.
They represented two kinds of listeners lol . You got one who was weirded out by the switches, and then another one who felt the song right away. Thanks for the reaction! Very entertaining as usual.
“A lot of people still doubt us, denouncing everything that we do and everything that we're trying to achieve. We love what we do, that's why we do it respectfully. ‘What?’ is about self-love and empowerment. Each of us has our own flag. We should be proud of it and raise it as much as we can. As SB19 and as individuals, we know that we're not the best at everything, but that shouldn't stop us from what we want to achieve.” -PABLO
Fun fact: The song was written and co-produced by Pablo (leader), creative director of MV is Justin (youngest member), and choreographed by themselves with T.B. The song was about self empowerment, so what? Raise your own flag (watawat, in Filipino) proudly!
I still crack up when you use "Hanggang Sa Huli" with the flag hahahahahahhahaha. Also, they were given more creative freedom here just like how Justin is the creative director of the MV, Pablo as the song writer and co-producer and SB19 with Tank as the choreographers. This is just the start of New Era!!!
What a t-shirt! Tunay na pinoy! I love your reactions. I'm in my 50's, but I'm such a fan of these young men. They are really talented and hardworking. They deserve to bask in the international limelight. They are doing us proud so let's promote them!
I also watched Raya and the Last Dragon on the day before the release of SB19 MV and I cried so much. South east asian represent! Philippine pride! 🤧😭🤟🏻
I just discovered SB19 literally like 2 weeks ago and just wanted to say that you guys were so funny. Your reactions were so authentic and when I started looking into more of your SB19 reactions I realized you guys have been supporting and promoting these boys from the beginning. Yall are OG SB19 fans and I am here for it. Hope you react to their newest EP. It's probably the best compilation of songs I've ever heard not just from SB19 but from any artist in one album. So happy and proud I fell down the SB19 rabbit hole.
The reactions coming from A'tin are more genuine that those reactions coming from vloggers who just to go with the popularity of the boys. The reactions coming from this two are not fake they're really fanboy Proud A'tin here
According to Pablo, the song proves that the group is “not just here to play games or act cool.” “A lot of people still doubt us, denouncing everything that we do and everything that we're trying to achieve. We love what we do, that's why we do it respectfully. ‘What?’ is about self-love and empowerment. Each of us has our own flag. We should be proud of it and raise it as much as we can. As SB19 and as individuals, we know that we're not the best at everything, but that shouldn't stop us from what we want to achieve." -SB19, PABLO, On his interview at Rappler This song is indeed a meaningful one. A sequel to their masterpiece Go Up. Pablo, in the first part, implies that their story had begone, and they won't stop striving towards their goals which is to internationally break into the music scene representing the Philippines. He also said that even though we think we're not the best at everything it must not impede us from achieving things. Ken portrays that wherever they go, they will bring their mistakes, experiences along with them. And promises to keep their feet on the ground, a reflection of how humble they are. Fact: Pablo, the lyricist, had on his pin tweet the line I will bring my garbage along with me. Justin depicts that the windows had finally opened up for them, which represents the opportunities that welcoming them. He stated that they were finally there, they have been recognized by the people and that he was grateful for not giving up before. Stell's part illustrates that we must always believe that everything we lose will far be greater with the blessings that will be lying ahead. Josh represents that it matters not if you are different; If what they are doing was unusual, knowing that people had doubted them. He said that it was better to be different than going with the bandwagon, judging others. 20'20 implies a perfect vision but not utilizing it to see the bigger picture. The chorus, well, it can have two distinct but interrelated interpretation. Raising our own flag, and raising the flag of the Philippines as they dominate the world. Nonetheless, they owe it all to the Almighty, and whatever they are achieving, It's all because of him. They are indeed worth to stan. With the majestic MV, a meaningful and inspiring masterpiece. Talented individuals who wrote, choreograph and have a creative director within them, their visuals were just a bonus. I can't wait to see them on a bigger stage! World Domination, let's go. This is just one of the many interpretations, so go and let us listen to the song again. And let it be a reminder that once we believe in ourselves, and in Him, nothing is impossible in achieving our dreams. We must endure everything, including the suffering and so we will obtain all the blessings we deserve. Fact: They feature at the end of the MV the most important map of the Philippines, the 1734 Murillo Velarde map - named after its cartographer Jesuit priest Pedro Murillo Velarde - defined in vivid detail the territory of the country nearly 300 years ago. ctto

SB19 IS INDEED WORLD CLASS. THEY ARE AMAZING! PROUD A"TIN, PROUD PINOY HERE! PINUNONG PABLO COMPOSED THIS SONG AND JUSTIN IS THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF THIS MV AND OF COURSE, THEY CHEOREOGRAPH THIS TOO WITH A HELP OF A PROF'L CHEOREOGRPAHER.
I thought he said "taj mahal".. 😂 Anyway we really liked how the both of you reacted to SB19.. So hilarious.. 😁 Well atleast you're still proud being a FILIPINO that's enough for us.. Stay safe..
What a quirk song of nationalism so parodied by all these “I’m Proud Filipino” but I couldn’t careless anymore of whatever people will say and now I couldn’t help sending my love outwardly that am happy having a national identity and a sense of pride for what they have achieved so far by going against the current. What a song! I hope It gets you good. Thank you dear God for helping our country and keeping our Christian beliefs proud and flourishing amidst these trying times in the backdraft of a brave new world. God bless us all.
The lyrics are profound and full of symbolism and the MV production is on another level! And god those dance moves!!! Ahhh so excited for the live performance for this song 💙
Gosh guys! You don't know how many times i visited your channel to find another SB19 reaction. I really love how you react. Please continue reacting to them in the new era.
A'tin Theory (Hidden meaning of the lyrics) What❓ is based on their journey to world domination. Pablo- they started it, but they won't finish it. But that doesn't mean they'll stop. They'll continue striving beyond anyone's goals/expectations Ken- they'll keep carrying their garbage(flaws) with them and that will keep their feet grounded. Justin- when they first started, all opportunities were shut for them, but it's starting to open now, one by one. Stell- they've been through rough times, but they're still going. And at last, they're where they are right now Josh- talks about haters/doubters. People only see what they want to see and that's the group's flaws. But it does not matter 'cause they were already made stronger by their past experiences Chorus- they won't fight back just to prove that they're raising our flag. They just need to continue doing their craft and let people realize the group's worth. Thanking God for being the group's guidance in every step they take. Bridge- they'll continue to go through the path they are taking and not take directions from closed-minded people. They'll also remain to be who they are wherever they end up in their career. What❓ is talking about their ROOTS -- everything they have before they achieve world domination: Their country, the persons that they were, God (Whom they've hold on to when things were rough), and experiences they've been through. #SB19
