I basically watched this to see if you'd add the flavor bomb at the end! Of course you did :-) The idea of making a batch and freezing the cilantro-garlic "tekleyeh" changed my life, so thank you for that.
I never thought my first “tabkha” would be this dish! Wasn’t too fond of it as a kid, but man, this recipe is so good! Simple, delicious, and definitely going into my rotation as a Lebanese living abroad!
Very much enjoying all your videos! As a Lebanese abroad it's nice to find more videos on how to make foods from home. It helps that the videos are top quality and funny. Thanks for the wonderful content, looking forward to the next! (Oh I've had life become much easier all thanks to your flavor bombs :-P)
It makes me so happy that you're enjoying my videos! I'm glad I'm able to bring a liiiitttle piece of home to you😁 That's so amazing to hear! I'm so so happy that the flavor bombs have made your cooking easier!

I've made a vegetarian version when I was trying meat alternatives and I used vegan minced meat and it was pretty good! I did add a veggie bouillon cube to it to add more flavor and it worked out fine! I'm also thinking maybe finely chopped mushrooms would work well but I haven't tried that yet
In my family we simply skip the meat for lent. Same steps, just add even more pine nuts for crunch and protein. Agree with Accidental Adult - if you make it vegan or vegetarian, add some type of stock or bouillon for flavor rather than water.
