@@MrKuemmelbrot Zangief is gone, news was shared yesterday. And, don't take my word for it, but Pat said the circumstances are "under investigation" which given friends were watching him makes me think some fuck shit happened.
Alot of praise for our lovely Curator of the Zaibutsu museum for when getting this exhibit presentable they had to remove LAYERS of woolie hype juices. Caked over and harden to a fine paste at least 5 layers deep. Truly an arduous an tedious task but one our Curator handled with the precision and qaulity that we have come to expect~! I once again salute you Grand Curator of The Zaibatsu~!
Thanks so much for adding all the little details you do in your compilations! They're great treats and show real pride in how you craft these for fellow fans.
@@TheShockVox they thought all lizards gave you grip strength. Only the ones with shiny tails do, so they wasted time going after random lizards. anything theme or story wise is up to interpretation so I don't think you can really think bad on that.
the fruit in the secret garden represents returning to human, unlike the fruit in the forbidden land. read that on the wiki and apparently one of the creators spin the story like that.

Yea, it's on the list since I've done the first one. The rest of the year is covered, though, with shitstorm and final fantasy, plus a couple of smaller ones.
2:29:45 So in the original game you able to get yourself to the alter where Mano is by doing jumps and hugging the side to where broken statues are. You eventually get there but most likely tumble a few times due to the vacuum force of the sealing ritual. When I got there in the PS2 version, there was nothing there and you are greeted with an invisible wall, so you are not allowed to go down the stairs to the field.
Another messed up thing with Malus. He can see the streams of light of where you slew the others. And for him, more are appearing. He must know it's a countdown for whatever killed the others is coming for him.
the problem with these remakes is that they always miss out details and screw up the tone of the art-style in pursuit of fidelity. Yes, the PS4 remake is very shiny, bright and pretty, but SoTC wasn't supposed to shiny bright and pretty. The fields aren't supposed to be bursting with vibrant green grass and flowers, they're supposed to look like dull winter grass, like the entire valley is cursed and half-dead. Malus's eye don't change color when he attacks. Wander's corruption is practically non-existent in the remake until much further in the remake, like they didn't want to go for the trouble of making 12 different models for him so they only made 4 or 5. There's a litany of little things that make it seem fake to a fan who knows these games intimately.
The only thing that really bothers me is the aesthetic shift of the grass. The lack of it in the original felt like a choice, like it was supposed to be a blasted plain, a steppe or a desert, and it made the times when you went through a canyon or a cave and found a patch of real forest feel… stark. Important, even! This is a different vision. It’s not inferior, it looks gorgeous, and I certainly think it hews closer to the original than the Demon’s Souls remake does. But it is different!
@@DetectiveOlivaw Demons Souls definitely annoys me more, especially everyone who tells you to shut up if you complain. Either we cream our jhorts over every single detail in a Fromsoft game and how this one door texture is actually integral lore or we say it doesn't matter and it's fine if Bluepoint just change entire designs. You can't have both!
I don't think it's that much of a problem. The original and the remake both had similar effects on me and the remake gave me new memories based on it's incredible fidelity and scope.

Now I remember why I skipped this lp, their constant misunderstanding of people's complaints and their lack of knowledge of color grading and tonal style. Blue Hole mangled demons souls and they mangled this game, and to hear them harp on against people they didn't see eye to eye with got annoying. Fast.
