I prefer SBST's colour combinations and wheelchair bay, and KMB's seats. The purple, green and orange colour combination chosen by SBST makes the bus look more vibrant, and the wheelchair bay is bigger. KMB has better cushions and the seats are taller, allowing one to lie his head on the seat as well. There are too many posters pasted behind the driver's seat, making it look ugly. KMB's bus is mostly grey, while SBST has some beige areas. I prefer KMB's exit doors; SBST's swing out loosely.
Kowloon motor bus, not only it has good chairs, comfortably chairs and free WiFi, it also has headrest! I know that people won’t agree with me, but some of you will probably do, Kowloon Motor Bus also known as “KMB” , opened in 1933, the first bus company in Hong Kong, the details in the bus is greater, even though it only has one colour, red. But it has the bus boy buddy texture on the bus, making it look great, however, in 2020, which is now, the B9TL now has chairs from the “Red egg” or you can call it “Red Bus”. It also has TV, not the TV’s you can watch, but it announces like which station stops next and some announcements like “Please Hold The Handrail” something like that, Also, I don’t think the details next to the driver seat makes it look bad, now days, KMB is one of the main bus company in Hong Kong, it is also known in the City of Hong Kong, the driver sometime is polite, and now, every buses has the “Protection window” on top of the bus driver door, it also has seatbelts, making it safer, and it also has sticky-floors and seat counter, making it a even good, comfortable, bus ride when you ride KMB. Plus, it also has bus apps, like KMB 1933, which can check your next bus timer, it’s very convenient! They also have different bus types, some of them are retired, but I can say a little bit. Bus types: ADL E500 MMC, E500, E400, Dennis Trident, Volvo Super Olympian, Volvo Olympian(Retired), Dennis Dragon(Retired), Leyland Olympian(Retired), B5TL, B9TL 12.8M, B9TL 11.3M, Volvo Olympian 10.3M(Dying our oof), Facelift E500 MMC, man a91, man a95, MCV, AMC1(Rare), E500(HYBIRD, rare) B8l(new, kinda rare.), And much more!
I think I would prefer SBS Transit's Volvo B9TL than the ones in KMB in Hong Kong as the legroom of the seats in SBS Transit is wider than those in KMB
I Just Wished that SBS Transit can also Buy Alexander Dennis Double-decker Buses like this one and CAN Operate easily in Singapore Bus Interchanges and CAN BE Fitted with the ELECTRONIC Announcement Systems in Singapore 4 Languages in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.
Tbh the KMB ones are better, considering that the seats have headrests and the bus overall feels more luxiourius. But at least the lower deck design of the SBST buses feel quite spacious. And also the equipment, the SBST ones use Voith DIWA transmissions while the KMB ones use ZF Ecolife, and imo the SBST one sounds better paired with the Volvo D9B-310 engine that both kinds of buses are paired with.
Still feel SBS Transit has the more ATAS feel than KMB. The yellow poles seems too plain, but the SBS Transit design to fit in with the seats and it's logo is really a better feel.
SBS Transit can also Easily retrofit the Bus Electronic Announcement system like the KMB Hong Kong Counterpart to the existing SBS Transit Volvo Buses and other Bus Models like Mercedes Benz Citaros and Scania K230UB and Future SBS Buses.
The way Hong Kong Buses portray is way better than SBSTs. Comfy Seats, Variety Of Different Models, Great Bodywork & Well-Maintained compared to Pathetic Seats, Cut-Cost Intiative & Lousy Bodyworks like the KUB
Singapore Roads are Wider up to at Least 4 Lanes INCLUDING BUS Lanes compared to Hong Kong Roads like Nathan Road as seen in the Video has only 2 Lanes and to Singapore Normal Roads up to 4 Road Lanes due to More Cars useage in Singapore to Hong Kong.
Eversince i watch this video a few times, I wonder what happened to the gearshift of the zf wrights after 2013? Its like it cant make that usual lively zf like in this video anymore. It shift as if the bus is so lazy to go on service😂
They shift gear at low rpm? This is due to KMB review that the original shifting programme hurts the gearbox so much and makes the gearbox need to be change with just a few years olds. So Volvo sent an engineer to Hong Kong and have a test drive to rewrite a new programme that helps to make the gearbox last longer.
It is not same SBST bus B9TL different KMB B9TL list 1. Different place wheelchair 2. KMB B9TL seats more than SBST B9TL seats. 3. I have to disagree with that, sorry. There are more bus franchises in Hong Kong (KMB,CTB,NWFB) and they have… MORE b9tls…. AND INFINITE E500s (about uhhh I think 100,000 buses in total in HK) Don’t even compare SBST to Citybuses Cityflyers, seats are so great and comfortable. Buses in HK are better.
