Ray Tanner, the AD gift that keeps giving. I wish the Board of Trustees would give him an extension AND a raise tomorrow. Seriously, how does this guy still have that job? 2 titles as a coach is nice, but how many disasters as an AD does that buy you?
@@CarolinaJackpot He hadn’t coached in 5 yrs. Just saying, it’s not the same sport but same concept. Older guy. Had success. Been retired. Comes in and has a competitive team. That’s all I meant 🍻
Tiger fan here. You guys will love this gentleman once you meet him. He is a great ambassador for a program. I am surprised he chose to start again. But since he has-will give you 100%. He will look funny in your pinstripe colors, but I’m a new gamecock fan unless the tigers are on the same field. Coach Man- will run a great baseball team. Solid coach, great P. R. Guy. Loveable man. He will win. Time & age is only thing working against him Follow him, support him he will win you guys over. Great hire just few years late? Looking forward to seeing him back in the box again. Once he really retires? Go Paul….. Will miss conversations in the stands last few years. Pulling for you coach. Tiger forever here!
LSU fan here and Paul is a stubborn really good coach . Jay Johnson won a National title last year due to some of his players like Crews ,Dugas, Trey, and Beloso
Good luck with old Paul,we had to run him out of Baton Rouge because he was to stubborn and past his prime. He will never have a team that scores runs, it's all pitching and defense

As an LSU fan I hate too say this but mainieri is well past his prime. Don’t get me wrong he is still a solid in game coach but I question how he can keep up with NIL and recruiting at his age. He’s a proven winner so there’s that. I hope he succeeds but I just feel SC should have got somebody that’s more hungry to win.
Also the Board of Trustees are supposed to vote on a softball coach and a basketball assistant. At least you have women's basketball, not even Tanner seems to be able to run that program in the ground.
I said a lot of bad stuff about this hire yesterday and removed my posts. Wasn't what I would've done but this is still my team. I'm gonna get behind this guy 💯 and hope for the best. I just want this to be successful.
At least Marineri has a reputable resume. So, being an assistant coach at USC is better than being a HC at the Citadel? Monte needs to take on the challenge, spread his wings, etc. LOL
Idk JP, he can still coach I’m sure but gotta wonder if he can step into the new age of transfers,recruiting and NIL? I don’t honestly know why any accredited coach would coach college sports these days with NIL, transfers etc etc. be much easier to just go pro

@@CarolinaJackpot migraines are generally caused by a underlying condition, I have migraines all the time and it’s caused by a traumatic brain injury being blown up. So he “retired “ from coaching bc he had migraines, so all of a sudden his “ migraines “ are fixed and solved and can get back to coaching and his “migraines “ will not stop him now 🤣🤣 come on sir , you know better than that . But hey you’re entitled to your opinion buddy .
Get yourself a great Athletic Director and your troubles are over. Danny White at Tennessee has done a great job. It really starts there. Get your University a lot more lawyers so your contracts cover your sports. Then like the pirates say, take it all and give nothing back.

@danielgregorygbo6143 Beamer has better recruiting than Muschamp before him. You can easily look at overall recruiting rankings. And he keeps improving it

@@CarolinaJackpot monte lee would have been a bad hire just because of the fan base not liking it and the ecu and duke coach has no cws experience as a head coach this guy has been there and won I believe he’s the kind of coach that can salvage a series and win the ones we should which would be around a 40 win season I like older coaches sometimes look at Mac brown and the obc old but they still win games heck Mac brown has done more than Beamer with less and I’m a gamecock fan
