That "Welcome" didn't just come out of nowhere.....Savannah made attempts at taking shots a few times during the game at SCSU most notably the comment SSU's announcer made after the 101's halftime show as they exited the field. SCSU felt SSU tried one time too many and fired back. That's what that was....lol
Don't be sorry, be careful with what and how make inaccurate comments. You are sadly mistaken my friend in the Famu band. Not to make this an issue because it's not one, but when Famu left the OCD stadium from this game, SCSU was just leaving the stands to line up on the field prepare to leave and by the time the Marching 101 did get out of the stadium, Famu was already back at their buses. Ask my how I know, because myself and a large group of others followed SCSU's march back 2 their bandhall.

If U listen closely, U will hear the drums of Famu off N the distance after they had already left the stadium. When SCSU reached their bandhall, U guys had already gotten back 2 your buses & were loading your instruments & yourselves on the buses. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't so.

No, Savannah just came to the MEAC from CIAA......so SCSU know exactly what they were saying when the welcomed SSU to the MEAC. The "Welcome" was payback for some shots SSU attempted throughout the course of the game.
It's funnier that U even brought the 100 into this with all the troubles they currently have. As 1 of the founding members of the MEAC as SCSU is when the conference started, I'd say the 101 has the right to welcome folks to MEAC. As 4 the 100 having the 101 leave their own stadium after the game is a lie becuz the 100 marched out the stadium 1st. I was at the game from start 2 finish. Marched through the campus U say? U mean from their buses 2 the stadium & back 2 their buses from the stadium.
Sir. You're debating with those who are IN the Marching 100. When the 101 left the stands in the 5th quarter, they "left the stadium"... U can ask any 101 alumni if they got their shit handed to them and they'd say yes. They left the stands because they COULDN'T HANDLE THAT ASS WHOOPING. LOL
We know they were on the field.. we saw them. No one debated that, but why leave the stands if u weren't getting waxed? You can look at any clip from that battle and call us boring or whatever: WE SOUNDED BETTER. We could have played the Bb Scale and won that battle. No love lost for the 101. I thought SSU did really well for there size and gotta heart. And I like the fact they played a lot of the old book of the 101 but that Welcome to the Meac reminds me how much I love the 101. Lol . Let's go thru that gate!!!

Who won the band battle is a matter left up 2 the fans, but I'm referring to this notion that FAMU made SCSU leave their own stadium, which is the lie in dispute. I've said, I've provided the clip, & I'll say again - regardless who won the ban battle, SCSU DID NOT march our of their stadium before FAMU did. While we waited 4 SCSU 2 tunnel out, U guys were marching parade-style back 2 your buses.

@JerkinWarMachine SSU was cleaner you say? Only reason they are even heard on this clip is because of how close the videographer is standing to capture them with the 20 people that make up their band. Wake up from that dream you are having.
@Pzel1 loudness doesnt make the band clean any band can play loud but you dont hear no cracked note and they play with dynamics... and yes i am in band i am a percussionist and I play tuba trumpet and TC Baritone...

@musiqwizzard dont come talking bout scsu cursing, there are more bands out there that do more than curse. go talk bout them. im glad u feel so concern bout us, but go check out other bands alright.
A comment that was intially presented by 1 of your fellow rattlers which began this discussion was a lie & I simply corrected it with proof I might add. That's when folks like U jumped on that 1st person's bandwagon going off on this tangent about who won the band battle, when my point of contention was about which band he said marched out the stadium 1st - 2 different things. Mine is based on truth with the clip I referenced as proof, U guys' is based on opinion (which depends on who U ask).
Actually, there is no picture of U registering on the machine I'm using hence the reason 4 addressing U as sir or madame, no sarcasm intended despite how U seemed 2 have been slighted by it. Way 2 speak again w/o all the facts. LOL. Who leaves the stands 1st determines the winner/loser of the 5th? Oh that's how it goes? lol. Nothing against FAMU either, but 5ths with them R not all that when one band plays radio music but the other keeps playing Beethoven pieces in response. It's not a 5th 2 me.
@JerkinWarMachine U right SSU does play with dynamics, the dynamics of barely being heard. Only reason SSU could be heard in the clip is because of where the videographer is standing with the video camera....he or she seem to be either directly in front of them or zoomed in tightly on them, so we won't have this debate on which band was performed better because from what my eyes witnessed in this clip, my answer still won't be SSU. But as SCSU 101 said, SSU is welcome to the MEAC my friend.
The song SSU played at 14:05 was actually their best song... i mean you gotta give them credit for heart!!! THEY REALLY DO SOUND GREAT!!!! KEEP WORKING HARD SSU!!!! YOUR DAY WILL COME WHEN YOU WILL REPRESENT WITH 350 AT THE HONDA BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!!
