Honestly, props to this boyfriend. He was very proactive to try and find her. Going door to door, looking for cars, and just overall searching for his girlfriend. God bless him, her family, and all those who were affected by this tragedy.
Not really. They were super co-dependent. He should’ve been freakin out when her location tracking was turned off after she got in the car. If she had forgotten it in the Uber, it’d still be tracking the phone everywhere the driver went. With them communicating every two seconds, she would’ve told him her phone was almost dead. She didn’t. We know he turned off location tracking but not the phone cuz when cops searched his car, her phone lit up. Also, the Uber would’ve dropped her home and she’d used someone’s cell to call him. If he were proactive, he’d know tracking is off and it’s been an hour since she got in the car but she’s still not home….so drive there. God I might give it one more hour then call the police. Unfortunately, she was probably dead a couple hours after he took her
@@amazingsupergirl7125 wow, lots of assumptions you have going on there! Co-dependent? Did your psych 101 class teach you that word? If you understood the basic definition you'd realize that word doesn't fit this relationship. As already mentioned hindsight is 20/20 and keyboard quarterbacking after the fact is easy.
If we come together we leave together. . I got into a huge fight with my best friend once b/c she wanted to leave the bar with a male she was chatting with that night and I would not allow it!!!
Thank you! Right. Oh no no no, they’ll be no leaving with some random. We came together, we leave together. That’s how you stay alive. He would have to take us both. We have sobered up a bit, just off panic and adrenaline, and beat his tail.
Yea if only they were more aware of preditorial nature's..its a shame people can't just have fun, a good night without the worry of human nature gone wrong.
@@innocenceinvestigations Obviously you side with the defense because only that group is capable of blindly ignoring concretely evidence. Essentially its over. More evidence in this trial than in the Simpson trial.
Can you imagine what he must be going through, how much he is beating himself up for not driving up to be with her! It absolutely breaks my heart for him!
He was staring at the witness as if he was trying to intimidate him…wow..I guess he was pretty shocked to find out that her boyfriend was tracking her phone with the find my friend app….😒
@without a crystal ball sucks you obviously missed it. Go back and watch this video. He definitely stared at the boyfriend. It was quite clear and has nothing to do with mind reading.
People have often judged me as being cold, heartless, and mean just because I guess I naturally have a sour expression most of the time. I would really hate it if my jury ignores the facts and judges me by my facial expressions. Maybe I could wear a mask with a big smile painted on it. 😁
I agree he's an awesome young man that really loved Samantha A trial is designed to determine the facts. The Defense should have question him as well. Further, the State failed to ask the boyfriend did he have anything to do whatsoever with Samantha's death.
@@LaurieLIG - It actually has three definitions. First: “Lit” can be used to describe when someone goes to a party and gets drunk and/or intoxicated by a substance. For example: “I went to a party and got lit.” Second: it can mean that something is good or awesome. Kind of equivalent to when people say: “That was the bomb.” Lol 🤣 The third definition can be used to describe general excitement or joy. Example: “I’m feeling lit today.” (Equivalent to saying that you’re in a good mood.) I hope that helped, and made it a little easier to understand! 💕 I’m 26, and I can barely keep up with the slang that kids use nowadays - especially teenagers.
@without a crystal ball sucks yes we all know it's a tragedy and a murder trial. But often times we RU-vid trial fans like to point out little unrelated facts like the audio or video quality. It's not meant as disrespect.
Now that I listen more it was the boyfriend that was tracking her...that’s sus. My boyfriend (even my ex’s) would be up calling all night or out looking for me. I’ve had that happen when I was sleep in my house (not a brag)
@@angeleyes3386 I don't find it suspect that the boyfriend was tracking her. She phoned him prior to going out, throughout the night and prior to getting into the car. The BF most likely dealt with a great deal of guilt because he convinced her to go out with friends that night to get her mind off of family matters. I know I would be needing therapy for a long time. Literally no one ever thinks when they can't get a hold of someone "oh they must have been murdered!" The BF, after not getting a hold of her, did try to find her. He was knocking on doors at the last location she was tracked at. The laws need to change with regard to the timing and filing missing persons reports, IMO.
Murderer looks jealous, envious, hateful, guilty, scary. I can't imagine the horror this young woman went through. May she rest in peace and be in god's loving arms.
That's why I never trusted getting into an Uber,my dad didn't trust it neither so he bought me a car solely so that I wouldn't have to catch Uber for safety reasons while I'm currently in college! This man is sadistic smh 🤦🏽♀️
@@DaughterOfTheKing_ so do you think it's safe enough for a male to take an Uber? I've taken a few. But I always check the car tag and description of the car and driver.
@@DaughterOfTheKing_If you even payed attention to a single thing about the case then you would know the problem isn't Uber, it's checking to make sure you're in the right car before getting in. The car she got in wasn't even her Uber and when ordering a Uber it gives the model and license plate of the car as well as the face of the driver so obviously check all of that before getting in.
Anyone else pick up on Defendant eerily looking at boyfriend, 13:16-13:33 and barely blinking for a prolonged period? Just me? It just made my eyes dry watching it, I was blinking double time.
Wow I remember seeing this case that was just so sad. She was innocent looking for her Uber that is just heartbreaking that somebody would murder her in cold blood. We really have to treat everybody like they’re possibly a bad guy. My 5 ur old has to grown up in this sick world smh
I saw a calendar page that said “I will assume that everyone around me has good intentions” This seems like happiness and rainbows- but the truth is- it’s far from the truth. There’s a time and a place. I have a soon to be four year old. And her father and I have begin teaching her from early on- not everyone has good intentions. This is the truth. Devastating.
Looks like they began giving him medicine or something while locked up, because in his prior jail house court bail hearing video he looked like he was off his meds if he takes any. I remember when this story broke I made sure to always google exactly what the car picking me up looked like before they came to pick me up and before getting in to ask them exactly who they were picking up before I got in after this, it traumatized me especially because I already get car anxiety and car ptsd.
I thought Uber was going to include the car’s license plate numbers. I’d never take an Uber. Just get a taxi. They’re actually tracked by the company. Or better yet, buy a car and be a grownup
@@amazingsupergirl7125When traveling(via flight) for business, an uber is the most cost effective and timely way to travel in cities. Be a grownup and think from multiple perspectives before you make blanket statements.
Are we just making up disorders now? Car anxiety? Car PTSD? As a society, wtf are we doing? I’m starting to think there is some type of toxic chemical that is in rainbow colored hair dye that slowly over time lowers your IQ, takes away all rational thought, forces you to make bad faith straw man arguments. Everyone I see with some combo of Pink, Blue, Green, or Purple hair all worms in their brains.
Somebody needs to tell the accused that his mask is supposed to be pulled over his nose and not sitting under his nose. Where’s the Judge to put some manners on him b4 been carted off to prison.
Ladies when you go together, you should leave together. No way should you allow one to leave on their own. If you can't find the person, call the police immediately. Feel very sorry for these friends. They must have afterthoughts. It is obvious that they cared because they investigated after they sobered up. Praying for all.
Why was Teagan allowed to be present while Greg was being questioned? (She responds to a question with, "as Greg said...") - I thought witnesses were kept from hearing other witnesses for exactly this reason, to make sure their testimony was their own and that they're not changing their testimony to match up with others.
Sometimes witnesses can be present during other's testimony but I thought it was only if you were related to the victim. Like when Casey Anthony's parents got to be present because their granddaughter was the victim.
@@darkwillow57 Yes, there are exceptions. I just don't know what that would be in this case. As the trial went on, I noticed at least 1 or 2 more witnesses who openly referenced other testimony.
@@othertalk3313 of course this is the same judge who didn't initially know if he was gonna allow the jury to ask questions of witnesses. I would think it's a pretty cut and dried matter. Either they can or they can't but I didn't think it was up to the discretion of the judge. Even if it is he acted like he's never thought about it before and asked the attorneys what they thought about it. So I'm saying the rules in this court room seem a little loosey goosey.
I was saying the same thing. He sitting up there like he's at a meeting at a job. like he's sitting right at the door. He would’ve had a choice to wear a mask l imagine. I'm sure it gives him some semblance of comfort and anonymity. He has some cold eyes, cold stare. All this shaking his head is such a tell tale in guilty body language
Im confused by her friends actions. They thought she dropped her phone in the Uber, but she wasnt in her room, where did they think she was? How was that not a huge red flag?
Could have been with a boyfriend, guy she met that night, etc. They are young. If you’ve never been exposed to or made aware of dangers of the world....danger wouldn’t even be on your radar. Some people are just not aware at that age.
@@angeleyes3386 Nah, I was never exposed to “dangers of the world” but if I was out with friends, we left together. You can link up with your boyfriend but you better had told one of us or if would be a problem. This is one of the many reasons for friends. Choose them wisely.

Wow her friend is awful too! They go to where her phone was last tracked but dont get out to look around or knock on any doors? Then she never comes home so oh well, let’s all go to sleep. Who cares we all know she took an Uber hours ago and still isn’t home and her tracking is off?!
I think some kind of way her spirit was talking to her. That's why she repeated keptkept calling for her boyfriend to come up that night. unfortunately he didn't come ,we may have had a different outcome.
How is the second witness testifying able to refer back to the testimony of the first witness?? Was she in the courtroom when he testified or was that a slip up?
Listening to the testimony of Samantha's female friend, I am shocked that she wasn't alarmed when she followed Samantha's phone to Montgomery Ave. and didn't find Samantha there. Greg was calling her to report he could not reach Samantha. How do you not put 2 and 2 together at this point ? She leaves me thinking that Samantha might have had a history of doing this before. I don't want to believe that, but the roommate sure didn't convince me that she thought Samantha might have left her phone in an Uber car. Anyone that has female daughter KNOWS, young women do NOT separate from their phones !
@@JessLoveyy Right. Its like she does this all the time, especially hearing the boyfriend say they had lots of drinks to the point they don't know how many, and that it was very common.
She would have never stayed with him. Way too smart. He and the friends made a grave mistake not calling authorities. He’s on the phone all night with her even while she’s waiting for the Uber and he deduces she must have lost the phone since she didn’t pick up the call?? And the friend was a communications major, works as a communications coordinator and communicated nothing to help her.
Yes.. people lose their phone while they are out drinking at bars. Woman chose man they think are better than them..she chose him that tells you in her eyes he was the better and best man for her .
@@epoulos108 what's not true ? How old are you ? Don't tell me you are 13. You are most likely a very young person not to know both my arguments are true. Yes. I will pick the drunk group. Hope I settled your case using numbers on my first point. Secondly, woman pick men. If a woman thinks you are the better best men. She will feel an attraction towards said men. If she thinks that you are not. She will feel politely feign friendliest or down right try to end the conversation with polite very short answer.
Self control. You can feel how much he absolutely hates the murderer and how much he misses his fiance. The worst is that he told her to have fun because she worked so hard. He will feel for ever more guilty than the murderer who has no remorse at all
He’s the worst boyfriend. They communicate every two seconds. After she gets in the car, tracking is turned off. Hours later she’s still not home so he goes to sleep from 5am-11:30am.
Someone should tell the defendant to cover his nose with the mask! What is the point of wearing it below his nose??? Might as well take it off. And the female prosecutor is horrible. Embarrassing how bad she is. She tells the judge she’s approaching the witness. What??? How about asking?! Omg she is AWFUL.
I remember when this originally happened, RU-vid channel covered it. The video from that club showed she was a little drunk. The story then was she had a fight with her friend she was there with, so she was leaving alone. Being upset, a little drunk, and etc she probably was not making the best decisions. Poor thing did not deserve to be killed.
Uhhh, masks don’t work if your nose is peaking out the top. I see this all the time in town and it drives me crazy. I feel like yelling at people “you might as well not wear it if you gonna have your snout hanging out”. Also, this defendant gives me the creeps. Wtf happened with him? Seems so random… he must have built up to this murder. It’s pretty rare to go from 0 to 100 all of a sudden.
I don't get how her friends did not make sure she got home safely they all went out together why didn't they all leave together and they keep talkin about this find my friend app crap they should've physically made sure she got home that's how we did it when me and my girls would go out sheesh
That’s why you must check the number plates and make of the UBER ride before you enter 🙁. What a tragedy. Usually groups of friends do not leave anyone waiting outside by themselves. Even with work colleagues if someone is waiting for a car or someone in the dark at least one other person waits with them to make sure they are safe.
I guess dabbing your finger from your eye down to your cheek? Not sure where this happens because I mostly just listen to the audio. Let's have a time stamp if you can.
Why didn't he just go home with her? And friends did a horrible job of keeping track of her. I never, ever let my girlfriend go alone at night. Plus an Uber driver is supposed to say the name of the person. If you don't Hear your name from the driver, absolutely stay away.
So there is no DNA by him at the crime scene. My guess is he was not alone he picked her up and he was the driver and a friend was the other passenger he either duck down in the front seat or hiding in the backseat when she got in. He might not have literally stabbed her over 100 times killing her but he is an accomplice to the murder. Nathaniel tried to use her ATM card several times but it did not work he was there for the money but he is responsible for her death also.
@@DSharonSmith How did he stab her 120 times but the police said they took pictures of him the next day and not a scratch or bruise on him. No DNA of hers on him...
I wonder if the boyfriend was questioned? In my mind I'm like why would he do this? What's the motive? How does he know her? Were they dating ( Nathaniel & the women)?
what was that ? the female defense attorney asked 3 stupid questions.... why ? it didn't do anything to help her client ! her questions were why did the police question the Uber driver . ..the other observation I have made so far, and I have NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE: every witness has a different lawyer cross examining them. This seems like a class room more than a court room.
@@bethlouden971 my comment reads, " I have never seen a different lawyer for every person cross examined " . OJ had the most lawyers I have ever seen for a defendant, but the prosecution had 3 attorneys. Each of them had a special purpose. Each one put on a different argument. What I heard today, was probably the worse example of prosecution testifying, I have ever heard. Example: the Columbia police Lt. referred to over a dozen examples of blood splatter, as "what appeared to be blood". When the vehicle was photographed and the samples were taken, it was suspected to be blood, but after it was tested and confirmed to be blood, and it no longer referred to as "what appeared to be blood". Anyone that has ever testified in a trial knows that the lawyers prep you on the questions they are going to ask, and how to answer them. Did this Lt. miss that session ? Is this the first case he has ever testified in? This is just one example ! Then you had at least two defense lawyers sitting on either side of the defendant. And their defense strategy was left somewhere other than the courtroom. The defense was nonexistent ! It better get much better on each side or there will be a mistrial .
So the guy just turned into a murderer all of a sudden, and then drove around for 24 hours with blood in the car and her cell phone and her keys, knowing video would have his car on CCTV. Wow how convenient for the cops. This would have to be the dumbest criminal history.
I’m confused if he wasn’t the Uber driver why didn’t he ask her why she was getting in his car? He just drove off with her….if he was innocent and didn’t do it then why the f did he drive off with her? They don’t find any DNA of his on her…just seems so strange
What defense could you possibly use lol. Monkey just wants to hurt more people by making them go through a trial and waste our money. That's all. There is no defense
