I think you made a wise choice regarding the anarchists using the peasants for guerilla warfare. The peasantry is already a backwards social class rife with Kulak influence so preaching anarchism to them rather than communism would merely serve to confuse them. Any military considerations are secondary to developing a proper class consciousness. :)
arguably You shouldn’t block the Karelian finns, you actually want them to pop up since it makes that tile a capital and thus it will give you MPPs after you easily crush the terrible unit the Karelian finns get
It might be beneficial to get viewership to make a "Turn 0" episode for this series that explains the overall situation. An overall map with different sides marked with consistent colors etc. Who was powerfull etc. And maybe a bit of info what happened historically. Now after watching this the all the different fronts just melt into one blob, it is going to be hard to follow.
I did a brief survey of the map and different factions in the announcement video. It should be on the top of you go to the playlist. Things start a bit chaotic but things sort themselves out as fronts are formed in some areas. Other areas become fluid for awhile than stabilize, while stabile areas become fluid. Such is the nature of this conflict. But overall it will be easier to see the strategic situation...and I talk about these different areas and the history as we go. Also, Duedman and I were in a rush to get content out, plus I have another project with the dev going with another scenario...so I didn't have time to do a comprehensive 'first look' type of vid for this scenario. I did plan on one. I thought the dev might do one too or someone else.
Second reply: Hi...I just watched Duedman's first and second episodes and I see that he had the territorial option on, so it colourized the ownership. I had that option off...main reason for WWI as I have gotten the territorial shades mixed up with mud or other ground effects...like mud/snow. Having the territorial colors off is okay in vanilla SC-WW1, as all the sides are pretty well marked out. But with the opening chaos of this scenario, maybe it would of been better to have the territorial ownership shades turned on. It's real easy to see the map and determine what White holds and what Red holds. Usually, in tests we did...the fronts get better demarcated, but at the beginning yes it's chaos out there, and I'm just used to knowing who and what is where.....
omg please please don't torture us with these "sprites" go back to nato symbols. i can't read these crappy sprites at all. the entire free world uses nato symbols and every wargamer understands them. i like to watch your vids but i can't tell wtf is going on with these sprites. it's so painful. please change back to nato?
I have used NATO counters exclusively since 1972 (I was 13 and started with Avalon Hill's Blitzkrieg and Afrika Korps) and only recently tried these 3d sprites. I feel the same way too mostly about NATO vs the 3D Sprites. The 3D Sprites look juvenile to me too on the whole and not what a serious wargamer would use. Interestingly, I have had many folks complain before because I used only NATO only. Almost all my other MP matches here on my channel feature NATO counters, so I gave these a try since the units are mostly only infantry and cavalry, with the odd train or tank. I guess I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, aye? btw..for this series anyways its too late to change back to NATO, as Duedman and I have banked about 2 weeks of content, and I'm going to keep these counter types for continuity if nothing else....
Yeah, I can vouch for OCB here-I have found the 3D ones to be somewhat confusing (w/ NATO I can instantly know what is what), but for this era I can grok his reasons for using 3D here. @@BalthazorsStrategicArcana
