Hi @Lansing Allison, The total weight of the SC400-V2 is around 65lbs. If the two of you feel comfortable lifting that kind of weight then it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise I would recommend another helper or two
I have one I'm missing parts how do I get new parts mine I have hell using have to use ropes bunchee cords and being in wheel chair or scooter I have hell just spent 3 months in hospital had 2 heart attacks having to learn to walk again can't afford another ramp thos is my 2nd one to be honest miss my old I welded sides was so easy. This one no pins to gold ramp up didn't have all the pins and the 2 pins and bracket to hold ramp up was missing the piece that keeps the ramp from wiggling missing are part was missing but it wiggles and worried gonna loose my pricey scooter. If my old one I could get a new pole that goes into the hitch ide still be using it but bent and close to the ground to bent crazy that happen. But how do I get new parts for yours please and God bless
Nice video! Makes more sense now than just reading the booklet...one thing confuses me tho.. I noticed that the assembler didn't torque the bolts on the anti-tilt locking device, and is stated to torque it to 35-40ft#.. did I miss something???
I do have those expensive Mobility Wheelchairs But no family member has a trailer hitch to hook this device on to car / truck But the Church mini van has a hitch... But the fear of insurence problems I have been driving the wheelchair the two miles to church and home again Can an OLD woman mid 70s and a disabled person put on and off Your device easly on a Sunday Morning ???
Wow 65 lbs It is very hard for me to judge. I can push & pull my 250 lbs in a normal wheel chair but to left over 40 to 45lbs has been hard ... MAYBE if i was in the chair holding the V-2 to left on to / put on to ... the Hitch Then my driver could place the pen in it Someone fingers are going to get hurt
Hi Gage, we'd recommend checking what the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle is. The combined weight of this carrier and your scooter/wheelchair maybe too heavy for your vehicle to handle.
Hi Lansing Allison, I think your best bet is for you to call one of our salesmen and explain your situation to them. They will be able to find you the perfect product for your specific needs. (888) 651-3431
