Don't tell me you gave up? I haven't seen the regular uploads like you were mentioning.... I really liked this channel

Thanks man, I appreciate it. It's odd to know that people I've never met are looking out for me. I had a family emergency that really threw off my work flow. It's been a tough month. I feel like this video was kind of phoned in because I was getting burnt out on weekly uploads. I'm working on getting back into it and have some big videos planned for the near future. Hopefully I can get back to a regular upload schedule in the next few weeks.

You mentioned driving a manual. I now love your videos. I'm rebuilding a manual transmission now along with making a model F-14.

Haha, love it! Thanks for the support! I used to have a 6 speed 2007 MiniCooper S and before that a 5 Speed 1988 MR2. Unfortunately my current truck is an auto but I’ve been thinking about getting something sporty and manual again.

One important thing I notice with new tools is that you should know what it's like not to have the tool so when you have it you learn how to use it better

Such great tips. A few of my own variations. Wet palette, use the lids of the paint jars. No harm in any thinner or water getting back in there. The sticks you use, I do something similar, by breaking up bits of old sprue and using those, for all their weird shapes and ways they can be ground down. Good brushes are just good brushes. Blue tak is great, I use it for holding stuff too. It can also be used to hold pieces together which are drying, you can wrap it around parts. Notes, I use the manual the kit comes with. All notes, perfectly organised. Air brush ... I need to use the one I just bought lol. Work permitting. Solid video as always, can't wait for the next one

Some good tips! I save all my sprues but haven’t thought of using them like that, good call. I also write in the manuals but I end up filling up all the blank space pretty quickly, I think I just like writing too much 😅 Thanks for watching!

Do you have a link we can reference for the wash bottles?

I just put a link in the description! It’s an Amazon affiliate link so (if I set everything up correctly 😅) I get a small cut of whatever you end up spending, at no extra expense to you.

What‘s going on? Did you give up? I am waiting. It‘s ok if you don’t put out weekly though, take your time

Hey man. Sorry for letting the channel slip. I had a really strong start and I was in the middle of this huge video I had planned for a T-34 and a bunch of infantrymen (it was gonna be my first diorama & figures). I had the figures halfway painted and the tank completely built, I was super psyched for it. Then my parents called me and told me my grandfather shot himself. I ended up traveling across the country and taking a few weeks off to visit family and mourn. Then I came home and started using my G.I. Bill to go back to college, and with school I didn't have time for making videos. Recently I started a business with my friend and we're the only employees right now so I haven't had a day off. A bunch of other life stuff happened, I had some technical issues with my editing rig, and I just haven't had any time for models or RU-vid. I don't think I'll do a video on the T-34 anymore, but I have pulled it out and started painting it as of tonight to try to reignite the spark. Maybe I'll upload again in the future, I have a couple other kits built and ready to paint, and I have dozens of pages of ideas for future videos, but I just don't have the time for it as it stands right now. I've had like two days off this month and this is the first time I've even logged into the channel since my last upload. I seriously think about this channel (and what it could have been if I had kept up with it) everyday, but my life is just taking a different direction right now. Thank you for your support and concern, and I hope that one day I can get back to Common Ostrich Models.
