I'm thinking of getting a new-gen Scaletrix having started with the Might Metros in the 90s! Did you get your free car for being one of the first adopters of this ARC set?
I think the triggers of the handsets are not that good. The triggers are to stiff in my opinion. I love the original triggers that I bought with my first set. Unfortunately that can't be used with this version
I have a digital set, 3-car, and it is fun. I just purchased the new 24hr LeMans 3-car set (waiting for delivery). Can I upgrade to ARC ONE with just a new power base?
D Filice Im not sure. I havent kept up to date with the latest Scalextric stuff to be honest. I dont have the money or time to any more which is a shame as I really liked making my videos. I couldnt get a deal worked put with Scalextric.
Is it possible (for a handy person) to insert the sensors into a Carrera Go / Scalextric Compact 1:43 or Tomy AFX / Micro Scalextric 1:64 track? Do you have or can you make a picture or video of the opened back of the track with the sensors?
My first question is: Is it possible to modify the ARC ONE system by replacing the original track with a track of another brand like Carrera Go? My second question is: How do the sensors work?
Hi sorry for late reply. I think the sensor might be activated by the magnets in the car. And if you can remove the sensor and attach it to another brand of track and the power base I can't see why it shouldn't work. Like you say a handy man could.
Unknown. It seems to have been taken off the Scalextric site. It's possible it will be late 2015. I am assuming it's still in development as it was going to feature wireless handsets.
Pinder Productions Yeah my dad has the Galaxy tab 3 7.0 but for some reason Scalextric have released it on the newer tab 3 8.0. They haven't really done themselves any favours by having such a limited list of devices that can operate the system. There will be many people who can't/won't buy the set because of the limited list.
