Love how you highlight the vintage cars; as great as the newest cars are, it's also important to know where the hobby has been. Showing how design, manufacture and tech has changed over the years provides some great perspective for experienced and new hobbyists alike. Keep up the great work!

Unbelievable content, I love the older cars as they are so individual in design. Some of the older cars aren't great to run compared to cars of today but are so good to collect.
Got the 312 T3 and the Tyrrel 008 in the 500 set for Christmas 1980. The Tyrrel was lighter, faster on the straights but skittish through the twisties. The Ferrari was more stable and easier to control but just not quite as quick on the straights. The rear wings were prone to damage where the lug engaged with the chassis. I had the yellow and red and the red and yellow TR7’s back in the day. They were noisy, had a high centre of gravity, were slow and lurchy. They were okay for thrash em and bash em sesh with a C249 based track.
Excellent video - thanks 👍🏻 I have the yellow, blue and black Scalextric TR7s and they go round the track well. They need a special technique to remove the chassis, pry the front tab clear like you did but then carefully spread one rear wing on the body to clear one side tab on that side, then the other can be wiggled free. Those side tabs can be easy to break. Oh and I have a real TR7 too (1980 black coupe)!
Haha Turboflash should have stuck around! Very cool That little driver looks identical to the one in my Datsun 260Z (C053) and it too doesn't have screws, but thankfully not too difficult to remove. Beautiful car, Shane about the tear down.
I have one of these in white with, If I remember rightly, is the Lombard RAC rally version. Fortunately, mine doesn’t have a broken light on the front but it is unfortunately missing it’s original box.
