Sir I don't know how to thank you... it's been 6 years since I was constantly losing money and then a year back I found you and started trading the way you make logic for things now I scalp m1 chart all with ur rules and I make 400 to 600 usd daily by scalping for one point of gold... The only thing which is keeping me away from losses is my big account, no stops and low leverage.. I always scale in and and try not to get panic in situations where market make sudden moves and I add some risk at the point where others are existing their positions.. As a software engineer I have always had a veneration towards the mitical books of Donald Knuth (pure computer science). I never imagined that there could be something equivalent in the trading world ... until I found your books, Mr. Brooks. As with Donald Knuth, not an easy reading certainly, but worth the effor for its enormous knowledge and wisdom. This video is wonderful too; really to enjoy. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Here is an advice for every upcoming trader, first make sure you research for a strategy, secondly if you decide to get a mentor make sure he is a registered investment adviser/broker these days you have to be careful a good way to start your career is researching *Nicholas Alexander Kelly strategy* the strategy is currently working and the creator is registered as well so there you go.

I scalp gold on the m1. Technicals are important but I refer a whole lot to fundamentals. Can't imagine trading gold without knowing fundamentals and current sentiment. The manipulation and/or technicals are a big part, once you grasp it enough, that part can be taken advantge of. And as a gold scalper, once price goes away..if timing is wrong there is no way back..must cut off. Nothing wrong with that. Must know time of day for algos big sudden shifts/moves. Day of week. Sentiment.

Hey Al- i think this is great perspective but i just slightly disagree with the last few seconds. You mentioned that you should not spend too much time on scalping but i would argue that it's time you need to become proficient at any skill, let alone scalping. Swing trading is definitely an area where I would like to develop over time but in my opinion scalping is more enjoyable. You are light years ahead of me in trading but i am bit reluctant to accept the case that scalping is not a career. Could you please elaborate?
He never said that. He said most traders end up being swing traders so if you scalp, have small position sizes and treat it as a hobby (ie game). He is speaking to most traders here.
I have been scalping for a few years now. I start with super high quality stocks so if I am wrong I can wait it out, because of this I don’t use a stoploss. I average down when price goes against my first buys. Always start buys with small $$. Want to be able to add 7 or 8 times to my trade since I always start buying at wrong time…haha.

This video says it all sir, Even the best trades and the most profitable trading strategies won't be effective if you don't have strict money management rules in place to protect your winning trades, cut your losses and grow your account that is while I highly recommend Mr Romero pieto who indeed trades on my behalf making me earn more profits every week.

When you going to try to enter your short on 4th bar after ii with a stop order-they most likely will be aware of that,and put a big spread at the beginning of this bar,so your fill might be well below your target on this scalp. Seen it all the time.

The chart at the end of the video seems to be real, but it is deceptive. Most times charts do NOT look so easy to trade. Many times there are no clear trend bars, but overlapping dojis in a trendless market. Many times the charts provide NO opportunities for scalping at all. Many times the scalper has to sit patiently doing absolutely nothing for what feels like forever while trying to remain focused and not become distracted or complacent. Beginning scalpers sometimes have the tendency to look for a winning trade where none exists, for the moment. They end up like the quarterback trying to make something happen by throwing the ball even though no receiver is open. Like Johnny Manziel they end up washing out of the league for making one too many errant throws. What they should have done is just throw the ball away or take a knee.

Would you consider someone who day trades trading higher timeframes while placing finite entries on lower timeframes a swing trader as they have to wait on larger moves. Example i trade 30m to 4hr time frame but use 1 minute time frame for entries.
Nice one here, though I prefer trading with the help of a professional trader, I believe it saves me time and reduces the risk involved in managing my trades..

Hey Mr.Brooks I have purchased the BrooksTrading course and Im also going to purchase the Forex one as well and I absolutely love it I watched it once I'm about to watch it again its amazing thank you for being so in depth in it , I would highly appreciate it if you would make more scalping videos and how to scalp because I love scalping it matches my personality and Im not drawn to it because of the " low risk" I just truly rather scalp than swing I like quick profits and I aspire to win more often than lose 60% of the time . I always enter my trades as swing trades but my ATM is set up in such a way that I end up scalping most of the time, and only hit the PT if there is large enough volume or momentum going my direction, but volume going the opposite direction is broke even or a small scalp, which I am very happy with anyway since this ATM strategy gives me confidence and peace of mind that I won't blow my account on a bad trade.. Im glad you posted this video because it actually filled some minor, but very important gaps that needed to be filled in my strategy. Subscribed.
I was scalping gold last week or I was trying to catch the bottom , i lost all my profits for the entire week , and it reversed but this week. and all that stress messed up my head.

Lots of great insight, but how is a trade within the same 24 hours (5 or 10mins in this vid) a swing trade? Might not be a scalp, but I wouldn't consider that a swing either. It's a day-trade, no?
