Telenor/Zong is very cheap and fast network in Pakistan why you spend 40dollars When you left the airport, you would later pick up a sim card from a market sim cards are free in Pakistan
Shops on Pakistani Airports are a ripoff because they have to pay rent 10 times more than a normal shop. So just to break even, they have to charge those exorbitant amounts. This rip off actually starts from the top. Thing is, Pakistanis are lovely people but they are curropt to the core, they don't have a choice. From politicians to a street vendor, from teachers to religious scholar, they all do it when presented with an opportunity. They need some character building and to be taught some integrity which most of the teachers and religious scholars lack themmselves.
Sania Mobile owners and Civil Aviation Authority, please take serious note of this video with strict action against the man who scammed this tourist. Nobody should be allowed to get away with this.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone in Pakistan that made this trip what it was. Do you have some questions about my trip or Pakistan in general? Leave them under this photo on my Instagram: instagram.com/p/CASVvAsl2Ah/ Thank you all for watching!

So i went to this store while i was dropping my friend for his flight. I showed them this video and i found out that the guy working there and the owner of that shop has been fined 200,000RS😂😂😂
Sania Mobile ripped off the wrong customer! What a costly mistake! They will lose a lot more in return! Classic example of "penny wise, pound foolish!"
I’m blown away by all the Pakistanis saying they have reported the stand and how embarrassed they are over this. The support this culture has is mind blowing, I’m genuinely impressed and overwhelmed by their actions. The comments alone have made me want to visit this country now.... simply beautiful.
It’s worth it, trust me. One of the best places I’ve ever been. Since it’s so off the beaten path you’ll get a more authentic experience too. I’ll most likely be settling there permanently one day, highly recommend going there, you won’t regret it.

Wow, the phone plans in Pakistan are cheap except for this scammer! I had used my American phone on Google FI and it worked fine. And I was never scammed! On the contrary. Very warm hospitality everywhere. Only complaint is that in a couple of public places (Karachi/Lahore) the entrance fees were too high for being a 'foreigner'. But overall a great experience.
Very very cheap. For data only I use a package which costs me 150 rupees (1 dollar) and i can use 2.5GB data for a week. For 50 rupees more I can get 7GB for a week. 7GB for 1.25 dollars is pretty neat. Other call + internet packages cost different.
I went to this exact same shop a few years ago and the exact same thing happened to me, even though I'm a local and he ripped me off as well just because I was in a hurry. This shop needs to close definitely.
zaid ansari, you got ripped a few years back and they are still in business today. Looks like they will be ripping more people if the relevant authority is not doing anything to address this issue.
That's why you need to take action and report them the moment it happens, rather than being silent for years. Not taking action is the result of other people getting scammed and the cycle continues. Now the impression messed up from the bad apples.
Very sorry to hear about this incident and we really apologize for this. But we as an Pakistani happy to see your overall experience in Pakistan was good and memorable. Bad peoples are everywhere. Pls accept apologies from good peoples of Pakistan 🇵🇰
@ mr. who are you to call Pakistan a shithole ? You shouldn't judge the whole country or all Pakistanis for this.Didn't you saw the vloggers comment where he said the positive things in Pakistan take over the negative things by a Million. & there is no country immune to such things. Such things can happen anywhere.Bad ppl exists everywhere. So don't bash Pakistan unnecessarily.
In Brazil a bank called "Safra" is the worst I have ever seen in person. They are the only company that do exchange in Sao Paulo and Rio airports and their rates are absolutely insane.
Whenever you buy a SIM card with data in any country, be sure you ask how to check your balance and do it while at the counter. If they know you're going to check right there, more likely they will be honest.
SaniaMobile. That's how they can ruin whole countrys tourism. People must do some #saniascammerskarachi photos and videos to internet then they maybe shut this down. But I agree wonderful country with wonderful people!

Lol it was one instance of scamming... why have you just skipped passed all the generosity that people showed and are completely focusing on one scammer? Then having the cheek to call everyone else in that country 'top notch scammers'? Are you stupid or just indian? Most kids in pakistan have more decency than you just displayed. You sound like a idiot
A RB true. There's scammers all over the world, in 3rd world countries and developing countries. Subcontinent is no different. Pakistanis just think they are clean from everything. They are wrong. Pakistan has scammers too, so does Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. But scamming in India is on a whole different level, by far bigger combined the whole of Subcontinent.
Being an INDIAN 🇮🇳 I wish to visit PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 i wish once will be there ❤️ i met beautiful friendly pakistani people in Saudi Arabia they were really amazing ❗️❗️
Scammers are unfortunately in every country and I thank you for opening my eyes to this scam as I have plans on visiting Pakistan sometime after this whole COVID-19 mess is “behind us”. Nick you are a legend and I love your work.
There are numerous mobile franchises (zong is best for data speed but jazz-warid is the best for coverage area) all over Karachi but also from small shops. Sim hardly costs 1 dollar. Data is also very cheap.
Yes please do visit Pakistan after the pandemic. I am sure you won't be disappointed. Pakistanis are very hospitable people but yes there are for sure some bad eggs in every country
Definitely good people everywhere but there are times when you encounter these unfortunate experiences especially traveling on foreign soil. Great to learn more about your experience but hopefully it doesn’t take away from the overall amazing time you had in Pakistan 🙌💯✈️🗺

Thank you very much for pointing this out! I actually wanted to get a simcard too at Karachi airport when I came in January. Now I am glad I didn’t! When being new in a country, it is hard to know what’s normal and how to get things done. Thanks for sharing! Pakistan zindabad 🇵🇰
Thanks for watching. It could have been just one guy doing this and not all the employees, hopefully the manager sees this and rectifies the issue. Take care. :)

I really appreciated the raw shots of the market. No music, just the natural sound of the city. It was really cool and wouldn’t even mind watching more videos with raw city shots like that. Thank you for making the blog as well! I appreciate you.
I guess these kind of things happen in any country with tourists... at least in Pakistan it seems more to be an exeption than the rule. Crazy 8 times more the price!!!
As a pakistani im feeling sad, hope u come back and explore other parts that u have missed like parts or balochistan, sindh and rural punjab, kp and sorry for that bad experience
4:51 Correction : It's "Empress" market Here's my take about this "scam". Look here in Pakistan we call the shop keepers at Airports "scammers" because they charge you a lot.... A packet of Lays which cost 50 rupees in the market would cost you 200 rupees at these places. So, it's better for both locals and foreigners that they should avoid buying anything at the airports.
@@IndigoTraveller Also, please use common sense, do your research and avoid places like these so we don't end up with a lot of "SCAMMED" videos, as I understand these videos get a lot of videos with the click bait title, but it is not good for the image of Pakistan. Pakistan's already been through a lot and the tourism is just getting better. So to do these videos just for views would be very damaging for us. Thank you.
I normally buy at airport and expect a bit of premium for connivence but I have never been charged 8x for a product that I didn't actually receive. This isn't a case of being over charged. It is a case of being sold something that I didn't receive. I agreed to a price for a product, that is my decision but it is a different equation when the product isn't as advertised.
@@runegaming3122 1. not the videos make a bad picture but the scammers do. 2. nick is not like that. 3. i have not seen many videos with scams in it from pakistan, but india seems to be made of scammers only. so, you are lucky and you can calm down. but the truth must be told, period.

I'm a British Pakistani and in my opinion that Sania Mobile employee has humiliated Pakistanis worldwide, we're not indians, this is not acceptable behaviour in Pakistan. Someone needs to find him and make him return the money. If we want tourism to succeed in Pakistan, this can't happen. Can someone in Karachi find him? We need him to make a public apology and for him to return the money.
He dont known just how cancer drugs imported from india is sold in pakistan for 8x its price by pakistani doctors Afghan nd pakistan comes equal in honesty.
you a much worse than that mobile brand he is talking about. and i guess he is not the only person who has faces to scam your entire country politicians are doing the same thing ripping of middle-class money and then making missile and shit rather than giving this money to the economy to bring down inflation and doing making some infrastructure projects i heard Karachi gives 20% of Pakistan GDP but doesn't have a metro or city bus services this is how your politicians cheat you what is the GBP to pak rs what is the petrol price in pakistan these are a few examples how the Pakistani government is ripping you apart.
@@Max-hb7hg It's very normal for tourists in India to be scammed, in Pakistan we don't do this, it's extremely rare for tourists. Most of the time Pakistanis give tourists special treatment, and many times not even charge them; that's what I meant.
@@chandravideo Yes I know corruption exists in Pakistan and is widespread, just as it is in India, and many other countries. I wasn't talking about this, I was talking about treatment of tourists. In India scamming tourists is very normal and widespread, in Pakistan it is not; that was my point. Pakistan's tourism industry is fragile and these things can not happen.

Whole Pakistan is very wholesome to all of it's guest regardless of the nationality they belong. People in general, despite many being underprivileged, still won't charge you for basic offerings but sadly here are few assholes here and there (just like in any country but fewer in Pakistan). Airport is not a good place for buying stuff anyway.
Well done on your trip to Pakistan, Indigo Traveller!!!! That was truly interesting indeed!! I would like to see more of these travel videos in the future. But that was quite annoying to be tricked by a scammer to be honest. They do seem to be common sometimes. But an overall good travel to Pakistan nevertheless. :)
I would be willing to bet they have 2 pricing schemes, locals and foreigners. We had issues with Taxis where I live doing the same thing, as soon as they heard a non local language they pushed a different button on the meter that made the price more than triple what a local would pay. When you travel you always need to be aware that people involved in tourism will often try to rip you off. Always make a friend where you travel that can tell you what normal pricing is. There seems to be a prevailing opinion among these people (tourist exploiters) that tourists are stupid, they exploit ignorance and on top of that treat you like you are stupid. You wise up fast when you travel a lot ;)
We give free stuff to tourists, welcome them in our country unlike Americans who literally have no culture of Hospitality. And these "scammers" won't differentiate a Pakistani with foreigner. He would scam a Pakistani who doesn't speak the local language just like he scammed him
@@blackflagsofpakistantheeas9109 "Americans who literally have no culture of Hospitality." You either have not traveled in the US or only went to major cities. Come to where I live and I'll treat you well my friend!

Not in pakistan. You can check out the other videos, its just that Pakistani people really respect tourists and give everything free. Check travilight and drew binskies videos. This is probably one in million and if this video goes to higher authorities, they will shut the shop
