Just got a call from Southern California Edison (I live in NorCal). He told me I owed $371.24 and if I didn’t pay by phone in the next 20 minutes, my power would be turned off, and it would take another $250 for reconnect fee. I told him I would gladly pay the whole thing. Including the $250. In 20 minutes. When my power went out. So he agreed to wait with me. While waiting, I started singing... IF you want my money AND you think I’m stupid, Go ahead and wait and see If you’re such an idiot JUST sit there and listen, You won’t ge a cent from me... He hung up. Guess he wasn’t a Rod Stewart fan...

This happened to my mother this morning. The money she lost is forcing her to make life threatening adjustments in her budget. I'm sick about the utter and complete lack of recourse to a scam that is years old. There's literally nothing that could be done only two hours after my mother was scammed.

I used to work as a call agent and received calls from people who were getting scammed for paying for passport forms and not passports. All ages, but this channel certainly helps.

I recently asked my dad if he's gotten any calls from people like this and he replied with "Well someone claimed I had an amazon charge of $200 but the moment I mentioned calling my bank they hung up on me..." and I was so thankful to hear that lol. Unfortunately not all people go with that as their first reaction when they should, good on you for educating people on these scams.

Years ago I had gotten one on my email. I did not call the number they give you to call if you did not make the purchase. What I did was get the real AMAZON's number and they verified it was not charged to my account. So check with your bank or the store, where ever they say you purchased something you know you didn't and call the direct number to them, not the one they tell you to call.

I work with senior citizens . I was speaking to an elderly woman and I was telling her about you. I pulled up one of your videos to play after we watched your video together then the phone rang. @@magalielaique8628 the problem here is that they do not commit crimes against the citizen in the same country so the authorities don't even know of the offense, like if someone sitting in peru hires a hitman to kill someone in austria what can the the peru government would never know of the crime.. and austian govt. cant do anything untill they contact the peru govt... but they wont cause its not causing a threat to international security...... these scammers cant be caught unless interpol is involved

That's a great idea! As long as they don't go Comedy Central and try to dictate how the show should work and just pay the group for broadcasting rights, that'd be a great win. Or, maybe even donate the rights to PBS for a tax deduction for SP!

Currently scambaiting a huge phishing operation. I work in OSINTel&cybersec professionally&rarely create content, but watching your channel gives me a sense that there’s someone else out there with the skills to f these scammers up. Pierogi thank you for your videos helping counter countless scams, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have realized that my dad was getting scammed the other week, because I heard him say something about a program similar to any desk, I immediately drove home and stopped it before it could happen, so thank you man I appreciate what you do.

I work at a bank. Our clients always received a lot of phone calls or even messages that is asking for their bank information and when our clients provided their infos then the scammers charges clients really huge one. This is really helpful not just for me but to our clients too.
