I clicked Like five times but I only sent one vote! What a re-do to be proud about. Thanks for posting your efforts so sharply detailed. I wish SCANIA could have toughed it out in the States for the off road haulers apparently too few! That's where my 1986 112M T- Model went day after day and at night back out in the sticks! True story - attend the church of your choice the paranormal news dod com slash Archives That rig is over seas hauling pulp wood. We trucked export veneer oak and walnut.
That´s a beautiful truck you got there! I´m miss my Streamliner with the old disc-taco and totaly unlimeted! Sweden-Spain in a few days. hahaha thoese were the days.
Their bus chassis are the ones that generate more torque with fewer rpm. Incredible! Also their jake brakes are the smoothest in the market, as for I know. Maybe there are others that are quieter, but... Scania is a phenomenal thing. However I can't forget the merits of Peterbuilt, Mack, International, and Kenworth. They all build fantastic trucks but with incredible cabins... which no European levels themselves to make the same beautiful utilities.
Gotta love the oldschool yank trucks. They're awesome. Scania is quite an exception to the "no beauty" rule though. For example the new R1000 concept is pretty sexy, although it is definitely a modern design. By the question of performance and other characteristcs, I'd definitely choose a Scania over a Peterbilt or a KW. For the feeling... uhm... well, I'd choose all of them.
You dont know what your talking about. Plenty of Owner Operators here have VERY powerful trucks. The company trucks are cut back a lot for insurance purposes. I know my dad had a Volvo that hit 130 MPH out west LOADED on flat road. Not to mention the power houses that Pete and KW crank out. AMERICAN MUSCLE. The man that own Werner Enterprises has two Frieghtliners that I KNOW WOULD EMBARRASS YOUR LITTLE TRUCK THERE. I know you want to root for your home team but "King of the road"? Over there.
