i really like and appreciate when you have enough time,for the pleasure and the respect of the truck, you do a "old school" double clutched gearchange!!you're right because even with a synchronised gearbox the change is always smoother...very nice and professionnal Driving….and superb v8 of course!!!

Nice driving! Double-shifting reduces the wear on the synchro mesh and facilitates faster and easier shifting! Also, if a person has grown up driving tractors and other vehicles with non-synchronized gear-boxes, he automatically double-shifts. I, my self, must take great pains not to double-shift whatsoever.
Oh man das erinnert mich an früher, als ich jeden einzelnen Ferientag bei meinem Vater mitgefahren bin, wenn ich in Skandinavien bin fahren noch manche rum und dann kriege ich immer Gänsehaut :)
Tolles Teil! Einfach nur herrlich! Mit der langen ("amerikanischen") Haube. Und der Sound: Absolut gar nicht mehr vergleichbar mit den aktuellen Euro 5, EEV oder Euro 6 LKW (bei denen der eigentliche "Sound" unter anderem zugunsten der Dämmung und niedrigeren Lärmbelästigung verloren geht)! Nun ja: Es ist eben die mehr oder weniger schöne neue "Welt"!
@Béla Bá still get a cleaner easier change if driver has skill to double clutch with less wear on gearbox, propshaft etc. It's really kindness and feel for the machinery which a lot of people don't have.
l drove a scania 143_450 for 6yrs doing europe,best truck for its day plenty of power and very comfortable,the volvo,daf,merc,ford,iveco,never came anywhere near the scania,climing mont blanc or going over pamplona on the n121was all ways easy great times.
