It's hard to use a walkthrough for this game because how do I narrow down "I'm stuck in the dark area in a cave"???

So he was ine of the first miners to go in but continued deeper and deeper until he died where the game starts. The beginning of the game is him as a ghost retracing his steps to how it all started. the ending is his family at the cave entrance mourning his death from the failed mining operation. it also explains all the gear around the cave and how you gradually get more upgrades... its in reverse of your equipment actually breaking down as you go deeper and deeper. explains why you go up through the game and the cultists come first. at the end you become one of the ghosts that fill the cave. great play through thank you.

Don Ricardo good observation I noticed that he was living his life and travels in reverse but didn't think about his equipment breaking down the reason for the ugrades. However I'm not sure if he was a minor because he mentioned that the minors were afraid as well I think that he was just a person who really wanted to explore the cave himself because minors usually wouldn't bring a tent and everything else with them just to mine of their would have been a lot more sitting around from past minors. But rather he was a minor or an explorer it was still an awesome game and I picked up on him turning into a ghost or whatever as well. Although before he turned I was thinking that he was able to do be normal because he was innocent

I love being able to experience the game without fully having to play it myself. The lack of commentary is a tasteful touch for this game and I have to applaud the lack of distraction from the actual gameplay. I thoroughly enjoyed this. While I usually enjoy hearing people yap through games this seems like one that needs to be experienced in total silence. An amazing game really just. My god. As a student in game design I can only hope to create something as aesthetically pleasing and suspenseful at the same time.

This game should have been competing in TGA for game with best and extraordinary experience, if that so for its monotonic walking simulator but i'd vote for it. Btw thanks to LiDAR from Gmod for letting me know this game exists.

@@m.i.c.h.o the game's extra option had 2 prototype of this game and one of a cancelled product by Introversion Software, they said to be made during the completion of Prison architect i think, one of them succeeded to be the game known to us today...

Y'know I didn't even realize what the rainbow of colors was supposed to be for until you unlocked and started using the material scanner. It's supposed to be a sort of depth perception. Whenever everything was the same color of green I started having trouble seeing where everything was with all the tunnels overlapping eachother.

I feel that this game has a massive potential with an even darker tone, possibly taking place in the future and you're running from slow moving entites trying to erase what you've scanned. The music, sounds and images would start to get more and more distorted the closer they get till your death and the images of where you're going would start to get slowly destroyed the more they ganged up on you. Unless you're able to outrun them in the darkness without scanning first...

I know im replying to an old comment. But you might wanna also check out Dark Echo on steam or something. Its the same sort of thing where you are in a set map. But instead of using a LiDAR scanner you use sound to feel out your surroundings. So you clap your hands in game and "see" the "sound" waves bouncing off the walls and your own brain has to build a mental picture of the map. Has enemies and some slight puzzles as well. Plus is like 3 USD on steam so its a cheap fun game

I am way late but RU-vid algorithm only now suggested this. I can't understand how this game bombed, it is very short but a very haunting experience and so different from all the other games that just give you an ordinary flashlight and a few jumpscares. And the ending, gosh it gives me goosebumps. It's so depressing to see what happened to the MC and the other souls who perished in that cave now cursed to relive his descent over and over again.

Gameplay is really hard to watch, just ignoring what happens next to him but stares at a statue unnecessary for a long time and just walking the given path away without exploring the cave. Why not use the burst mode frequently? Anyways the game itself looks great and has more potential for jumpscares, mobs etc. to make difficult.

He's ded and the scanner is some imagination of the main character of someshing that helps him to get back his memories (the dots uncovered are the memories of this place), it's seen as he loops back to the beggining when the dots dissepear and reappear on him because he reminded himself that he is a ghost, the scanner scans the memories of the MC, not the actual cave, that's also why the tent and the rock where the device is placed are visible, they where the last things he saw as he died, so he reminds of it

it does he told his family that he was going to the mine and never coming back he died left his family instead of coming back then you become this scanning thing and go back to the place where they throw flowers at ur death and then you get back to the tent go outside and become a witch
