Scar is a great villain cause he isn't careless. He's cold, calculating, ruthless. He thinks as many moves ahead as possible to outsmart the ones opposed to him.
He’s cunning but not particularly intelligent. He was a terrible king and wasn’t very meticulous about details. I mean he left the most important part of the plan (killing Simba) to his bumbling cronies. He also had no plan for effectively administering the pride lands and by the end of the movie everyone involved (the hyenas, the lionesses, and himself) were in danger of imminent starvation. He’s nothing more than a power hungry narcissist
In my memory, I always think "How could Mufasa fall for Scar's obviously evil plan?" But watching the movie in order, Scar's on good terms with Simba, Mufasa thinks his son's in danger. What purpose would immediately spring to mind for Scar lying in that moment? It would seem so pointless if he hadn't seen the villain song.
“…descending on high to mingle with the commoners.” “Oh, I should practice my curtsy.” You know, even in a lesser film, Jeremy Irons really knows how to make a character so quotable.
Scar in the movie : *I indeed....deserve to be the king~ I'm much...smarter than Mufasa..or uugh~ anyone really~* Scar in the musical : *AAAHAHHAHAHAHA I'M FINE,NO UR NOT,YES I AM EHDHWJJSJSN ZAZU I HAVE NO BITCHES*
I just realized that Scar's nose changes from when Simba was a kid vs when he's an adult:0 The gradient on it goes from like an ashy brown color to the same color as his mouth
2:09 mufasa is our enemy which means hyenas it’s do 🎶🎵my vision is clearly ride ranging and it might be you 🎵be prepared , be prepared , be prepared Yes our teeth and ambitions are bared BE PREPARED ahahahahaha
Scar is the best disney villain because he actually wins within the first act. Be prepared hits harder because he actually succeeds with the plan he sings about. Love this lion with all my heart
The scene where scar killed his brother and then quoted the line "long live the king" That broke me as a child... How could you kill your own brother, Scar? However, Setting aside The fact Scar is a kinslayer, he wasn't that bad of guy...
@@Freedom10072e maybe, and hear me out on this one, he just didn't feel like it. Scar doesn't do the dirty work. The hyenas do. He only does things that are absolutely necessary. Killing Simba was needed if he wanted to remain king, but he didn't know that Simba would return. He doesn't love Simba. He just doesn't want to get his paws dirty.
Scar left Simba in the gorge, where a herd of wildebeests would be running through by his plan. Scar could have very easily just lied to Mufasa about Simba being down there and it would have been much easier to kill him that way since I doubt Mufasa would allow himself to give up searching for his son, giving a wider chance for him to be engulfed by the herd. But he did have Simba be there, rising the chances of him being able to be king by killing two birds with one stone
@@goodday2826 while his plan was to kill them both, he didn't account for the fact that Mufasa would actually manage to save Simba. It's true that he could have lied to him, but that would ruin the plot. Also, if he "loved" Simba, why was his plan to kill him as well? It's like I said before, he doesn't want to get his paws dirty. He plans, but rarely fights.
POV: The Lion King being a kids' movie Me: Wait, Scar wants to kill his brother to become king and you expect THAT to be a movie for five year olds!?!?!?!?!?!
