Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act III "Inversion of Genesis" The Wanderer regained his memory. #genshinimpact #sumeru Thank you for watching! Like 👍 Share🏳 and Subscribe🚩
It’s ironic that he can’t see how “human” he is. His actions are actually driven from how emotional he is, which actually make him “human”. By erasing his existence, it feels like that decision is actually made because he was overwhelmed by his emotion and feeling-the feeling of betrayal, lies, etc. People tend to make bad decision when they are overwhelmed by their emotions.
@@RaidenBosenmoriMeii i don’t think his case can be called as duality of self. It’s simply just him being emotional but didn’t see it. While duality of self is more like having two different polars that balanced each other
@@devilmok Scara wasn’t meant to rule Inazuma, he was just going to be the vessel for the Gnosis. Ei didn’t want her people to think there were two different Raidens (be it Makoto or the Shogun) so it would be weird for her to just suddenly have this young boy rule the nation in her stead.
What is interesting is that, lore wise, only those with visions have the possibility to ascend to godhood. So congrats, you may still be able to be the angry shota god that you feel you were always meant to be.
More like what did she expect for him to answer. His mind literally was offline at the time because of the pain. He's already at his limits and whatnot, what did she want from him? This is not MHA where they can just "go further beyond, plus ultra" alright?
I know right that was so annoying like cut him some slack paimon he is having a mental breakdown and traveller has already defeated the boss many times pretty sure he is capable of handling the situation
The voice acting was great. He sounded so mentally exhausted and for all that he's gone through in like, literally an hour or so? Absolutely understandable. I like that they don't really wrap up Scaramouche's story in a little neat bow, everything's pretty ambiguous. All we know is that he wants revenge on the Fatui and then after that, who knows what he'll do.
hopefully we get a quest with a reunition of the family, raiden, scara, and (maybe,) yae miko, it would be pretty nice to see imo, get things cleared up and all that
Traveler went, "Nah bro, it's good." And I just imagine Scaramouche going "... EXCUSE YOU?! UHM NOO!🖕" And then storm away angrily as the Traveler goes, "Oh.. Ok"
He did not solo it though I can see why you might think that due to the actual gameplay fight. At the beginning of the cutscene after the fight, the traveler is holding his hand out which has always implied the traveler was doing something. I am sure here it implies he was helping. Paimon even asks, "did WE win" to which traveler nods yes. I think the actual gameplay fight was either symbolic to show him defeating his past self or to showcase him some more(which I think is more likely).
@@thecrane5805But Paimon always says "we" even if she all she does is dump all the work on the traveler and make them so the actual work, so she's not really the most reliable source for that. Her ineptness and tendency to steal credit from the traveler is even mentioned at least twice in game.

Paimon pissed me off in this one. Dude has 500 of trauma loaded into his memory, has a mental breakdown Paimon: ARE U DONE YET?!?
And after this interlude chapter I realized that tartaglia no longer has the voice lines of "The balladeer" because scaramouche erased that name. which is really cool.
@@abeeilles1008 He still exists as the puppet, so she wouldn't have forgotten about creating him and setting him free. She only forgot about Kunikuzushi because he erased those names and the actions perpetrated by them.
@@abeeilles1008 I'm wondering how that works because how do they remember things that relate to him without remembering him? For example, Yae Miko gave him the gnosis so without the memory of him, what does she think happened to the gnosis?
From what Lisa has said, visions can alter their size and shape slightly to fit their holder. Ofc, visions from Mondstadt will always be round, Liyue will be square, etc.
Let's just talk about the anime badassery Traveler pulled on 4:10. He made slashes in the shape of a star then a big slash to end it, then the slide landing Then Wanderer did something I've wanted to see in Genshin for a while: seeing a Vision being granted to a character who then becomes playable (gotta be specific because we have seen a Vision-granting from Rana, but she's not playable). I didn't expect it would be Scara, but I'm glad it was this way
Scaramouche: Everyone who manipulated me and made me suffer will have to pay the price. Paimon: The Fatui? Scaramouche: The Doctor, at least. This small exchange between Paimon and Scaramouche kinda gives away a hint that the Fatui's main goal is not evil but there people in the Fatui that use harsh methods to achieve their goals and Dottore is one of the few evil people in the Fatui. I still hope Dottore becomes playable.
I named him Tempest because he is a storm both in the past and present. Not to mention it's kinda inspired by a certain friendly slime from another world.
I think the wanderers scene when he achieves his vision is our first look at what it means to obtain a vision. He had a desire for something, but I don't think that desire was for protection or anything. I think why he received an anemo vision was because his desire to be free of his suffering. He wanted a desire to free himself from the pain he received in his life. That's why I think he received the anemo vision over something like pyro or electro
@@_Nyxus_ story context, Visions in Genshin are akin to Stigmata from Honkai. In chapter 31 EX, Theresa enters the Kalansa stigmata space, which allows her to learn the memories of Kevin.
As long as they fit the requirements then they’ll receive it. They might receive it in the most epic of times or find it inside their bags and be surprised that they own one. For example, Hu Tao went to the ‘border’ to locate her dead grandfather and stayed there amongst the spirits/ghosts for so long until her rations depleted but remained stubborn despite the advices of the spirits. An old spirit of a woman told her to go back, returning home, she found a vision in her bag. A vision can be given anywhere, anytime, as long as a god found you worthy to receive one.
A little detail about the Wanderer design that I like is that the pendent he wears with the gold feather is placed right over where his heart should be-- a hole in his heart, or the lack of a heart to even have a hole in. Then, when he gets his anemo vision, it goes in that missing space. We know that anemo represents freedom-- so it's freedom from the past that fills that void.
@@sussynanibaka69 It wasn’t really real though. “Good guy” Scaramouche only existed because of what “previous-incarnation” Scaramouche did. Without the original, the new one wouldn’t exist. Therefore he kind of had to become himself at one point.
He always was scaramouche, just forgotten who he is. He's like a phoenix rising from the ashes of himself. He's still the same person, but in his own journey, he'll change himself
I never wanted to hug a character so hard in my life when Wanderer was having a breakdown from his memories. But the closest thing I can do to spoil him with ascension materials exp books, talents books, Mora and my finest catalyst weapon.
I thought it was someone from the Celestial Principles, because it's something that has to do with memories, order or time and like sounded too mystical but on other hand it would be weird to place them there
Wind and Air is typically an element aligned with freedome and will. I really like the thought that seeing the changing of Scara, he was granted a vision of Anemo by barbatos, in essence finally adopted by the wind. Allowed to live a life free of his past strife clouding his judgement. Those dark clouds are still in the horizon, but he's still able to move forward, lighter than he once was.
"The past is set in stone, but you can keep moving on, and the longer your future will lasts the shorter your past will become until one day it is but a tiny fraction in your life." A truly wise quote from the god of wisdom.
When he blocked that attack from his robot i was like "is this it?Did i got my boi crap personality back?" Then one second later he looks like a maniac to the screen and say "die" "Yep"
“It’s fine. Let them stab their blades into my chest if they so desire. …Maybe that’s how it always should have been.” This line freaking BROKE ME. I relate a lot to the Wanderer (or Scara). I have been abandoned, used, and manipulated by people, and “The Doctor” in my story is my own mother. Maybe even an old friend I have had. Either way, my whole life, I have been abandoned and used in so many different ways. At some point I believed that no one would want me unless I was of use to them.
Gotta say, I was worried they were just going to keep him with his memories wiped for the rest of the story. All of what he did and what he became vanished in an instant, it felt like a cheap way out of all he did and was. Fortunately, he got them back, so in a sense he is still "Scaramouche", but also someone that has decided to try and take a new leaf out of life. All in all, guess I can say that I went from deeply disliking him to at least tolerating him.
I still find it kinda lame that he made everyone forget him, he pretty much just ran away from the problems and will never talk and come to terms with others. In other words, even if the sumeru quest was very pretty, it made a very big change in the lore, way too big for me.
@@Cricketsmoker Well, in retrospective, I have to agree. I was referring to how I appreciate that Wanderer was not stuck in this "instant good guy button" for the rest of the story, like we are supposed to brush off that he actually was a terrible person before any of this. But it's also true that if anybody else besides the Traveler, Paimon and Nahida has forgot about him then his path of revenge feels hollow. I can imagine that Endgame meme of "I don't even know who you are" if he ever goes up to the Fatui again. I'm more worried about what they'll do with him and his relationship with Ei. I feel like a talk is needed so the fandom can finally shut up about any stupid debate about any of the two, but if she has (debatebly) forgotten about him, and he has decided to bury and leave his past behind, then I can't see it happening anytime soon, if ever.
@@Cricketsmoker He wasn't planning on making everyone forget him. Clearly someone doesn't read the dialogue. And call shit lame when they barely can read text. (Sorry I'm gonna call you a dumDass) In the part on the Irminsul tree. Wanderer asks Traveler if Its possible to chang the past. "The traveler reacts but doesnt say anything" "Wanderer planned to change the past not because He wants to be good but he wants to save the innocent lives he taken" But here is the thing. If you even barely listened to the story quest. NO ONE CAN FULLY ERASE THE PAST. We seen this on Kusanali's Archon quest. Greater lord original dendro Archon could not erase herself from the past, only made a new version of herself so its no longer corrupted. The people did forget her but everything was the same. Wanderer, Thought He actually could change the past. But instead he just made the world forget he exists. This is where he realizes what he did didn't even save the people he wants to save. They all died regardless by fate. Thats why Now he is planning to pay for his crimes by hunting down atleast dottore.
@@silverhawkscape2677 Yea Pierro who can't be defeated unless you have Sunlight element which comes from 7 elements. 2) Dottore only archons can defeat him and to defeat him archons have to reveal there final form. 3) Columbina only archons can defeat her archons have to reveal there final form. 4) Capatino strongest human in Tevyat. 5) Rooster 6) left Fatui 7) Sandrome , Knave 8) dead 9) Pantalone 10) Sandrome , Knave 11) Childe
Paimon: *rushes Scara who's literally fighting to fully absorb his trauma without going insane from the side effects of forced knowledge* Me *revokes Paimon's food privileges* whats funnier is i dont even like scara that much.
Oof man, you fell to Mihoyo’s temptation and took you for a ride 😂 I swore to never pay for primogems ever as long as I live especially now with car payments soon in my future
Amazing. The Wanderer's clothes are beautiful. Though, I'm more interested with Cutscene Traveler's fighting. Especially 4:10, he's so fast!! It's easy to forget the Traveler was an OP entity before.
While streaming this, when he got his vision, I literally jumped out of my seat, trying not to scream out for joy (it was the middle of the night and everyone else was sleeping). The Element of FREEDOM was just so spot-on, I cried tears of happiness! I named him "Miu", which means better heart; beautiful feather.
Broken not hero. He is pretty much a simplified Otto Apocalypse. You can like him but never call him a hero because of what he did despite him turning a new leaf.
People be like "what's the use of him change the past if nothing is changed afterall?" first of all, he felt betrayed, used, manipulated, and worse of it, the one he clung his dear hope is actually a blatant lie, he never has any long last happiness, he lost his dear friend and being manipulated that his friend is betrayed him but ironically the one sacrificed is his dear friend, after that he ran away, met another friend who has similar situation, only to find the friend also died and he again became alone, sadly the one using him introduced him to his comrade, abusing him with hellish experiments, threw him to abyss, and many things as many as possible and he accepted it cuz he relied on that relationship as a thin thread so he cares it much, and after he knew the truth he somehow lost his will to continue. He felt like his existance is what cause misery to many of his friend, he think that he might could save his dear friend from the hands of fatui if he just gone from them, knowing he's the perfect tools since god discarded him as he thinks of that, then yeah,,,,,,,the rest didn't go as he planned, his friends still died, the fatui still found their way to continued the experiment and things not really changed except no 6 harbinger is left emptied. the only positive this time is he didn't do any dipshit like what he did before, but since he also guilty of his 1st incarnation, he felt he also can't became a good guy in light again, thus he promised to nahida and us traveler to only help from shadow, he knew he was wrong before and didn't asked for forgiveness...... I found him as a tragic character tbh, being left forgotten, being used here and there and no one healed him and guide him right, gratefully nahida believed him (maybe because she saw his past in 1st incarnation so she knew he's not 100% fault) but what makes me sad is how many player found him as annoying, and completely trash and said signora should be playable not him, imo,,,,, signora is too arrogant with her personality, in terms of development scara is better, maybe I'll change my opinion if signora is goes thru development just like scara did but as for now I think she's worse, not as shitty as dottore tho XDD
Now that Scara has become the Wanderer, is no longer apart of the fatui, and has official changed sides, all I'm waiting on is Childe to change sides, that is if he changes sides.
How does Paimon all of a sudden remember him well enough to know that he's back to his old self and that she doesn't like him? He was wiped from her memory too. She said before that she had no memory of him. Or is she just going off what Traveler told her and Nahida earlier, making assumptions?
So does that mean, the Teyvat history is being alter again? But this time , Scaramouche is the one that alter it, it even affect himself(memories). The first is Kusanali alter history about Rukkhadevata(reffer to Kusanali quest).
Yep. Scaramouche/Balladeer does not exist anymore in this world but as far as we know Him, Us, Paimon and Nahida all remember him (Although Paimon and Nahida only remember him through a fairytale and what we told them rather than experiencing it themselves it seems). Now he'll seemingly stay with Nahida for the time being
the vase at the last part of the quest actually hints at the opposite. its more like the events still happened and kuni/balladeer still existed but no one remembers it anymore cos the records of history was altered. think of it as mass amnesia
@@daine2665 it's like everyone's memories are connected to a giant server (Irminsul). When something is changed, everyone's memory is updated but the world itself isn't
I named him Balmier . meaning of Balmier is pleasantly warm, gental, mild, calm, tranquil. I gave him this name cause he became balmier when his memory was lost and chose to stay balmier even after his all memory was returned.
Hmmm... which would be a good new name for Scaramouche? Oh, I know! I have a few in mind: Link, Zelda, Frisk, Chara, PATROLLER, SURVIVOR, Amogus, xXEdgyName95Xx, Ness, Lucas, TheLegend27, NoobMaster69, Fandango, MariachiHat, Monsoon, and of course TheMorbinWanderer.
