Scarborough is where I grew up. Although Scarborough is more affordable people are slowly realizing there is a huge supply of large properties and excellent peaceful neighbourhoods. Some areas might be a bit sketchy and hence why for those living in Toronto there can be a stigma in general about Scarborough but it is a huge area of the city with amazing areas to live! I grew up in the Woburn area and have been surrounded by diversity growing up and love that aspect of Scarborough! It is hard to really cover all that Scarborough offers because of how big it is. Depending where in Scarborough you live you might be closer or farther from various places. Eg. If you live in the south west part of Scarborough right by Victoria Park Subway Station, you can get downtown in 20 minutes by subway. So it really is close to the core of the city in that part. Also in that same area there are lots of new houses replacing old houses but they can be pricey due to location. Some streets to research for houses would be Pitt Ave, Westbourne Ave, Bexhill Ave and Maybourne Ave. They are all close by to Victoria Park Subway Station and lots of new houses on those streets. There are also apartments and condos close to there as well. Other nice neighbourhoods are Birchcliffe, Bluffs, Guildwood, Thompson Park and the Rouge area. Warden and Eglinton area is great for grocery shopping but better if you have a car. All amazing places and growing up in Scarborough I always enjoyed them. The Toronto Zoo is also in Scarborough! As for STC (Scarborough Town Centre) that is the central hub and the City has plans to build many condos there over the next 20 to 30 years so that area is going to be a construction zone for years to come. As well as bringing the TTC subway line there to replace the RT so things to keep in mind. Great video! :)
It’s so rare that you see this level of expertise shared from a real estate agent. Thank you Christina mizzbelli for imparting your wisdom on us. Grateful to have a representative like you advocating for my large portfolio.
People have such a one dimensional view of Scarborough. Very informative video of the pros and cons! Such a great part of the city to move to. So different than every square block being high rises. Love the videos from this page!
Scarborough is part of the city of Toronto, isn't it? Just like North York, East York, and Etobicoke. Sounds weird to think of it as 25km east of the city. That's more like Ajax/Oshawa.
😊Informative video. Worthy of future mention: PanAm sports complex and convenience of Go train - approximately 15 min. commute to downtown Toronto Union Station .
Moved to the West Hill neighbourhood a few months ago. Liking it thus far. And my condo's on a future planned LRT route, so getting around without a car will be easier soon.

I worked in Scarborough. The only thing that I would like about living in Scarborough is the good public transportation system. For me the biggest con is actually the people. They are not very nice especially in the northeast.
Thank you for this video. i enjoyed every bit of it. i;m considering moving to Scarborough. how much is it to rent a single room? for just one student.
