One thing I forgot to add is the following: After taking the means (like reading your adhkaar) to protect yourself from any potential danger of evil eye, you put your trust in Allah to be your protector and that nothing can harm you except by the will of Allah, and No, one should not being walking around paranoid. The issue of putting your trust in Allah was mentioned at the end of the verse we’re Allah quotes yaqoub telling his children not to enter the city all together. Also it seems I forgot the و when quoting وقال يابني لا تدخلوا, it was a slip.
