I’m on my second shitzu..my first one was 18 when he broke my heart in a million pieces but I laugh thinking of all the loving years we had together. I love their eyes. I had boxers and it’s the eyes and wiggle wiggle wiggle with that breed❤️Basically I just love animals. Kinda like lays potato chips. You can’t have just one, or two….or three.
I am overjoyed to know that your first Shih Tzu lived to be 18 years old! Wow!!!! It sounds like you have wonderful memories together with him that can comfort you in his absence. I'm so happy that you welcomed a second one into your life! And I hear ya about the chips! LOL!
Sadie Grace is so incredibly blessed to have you both as her mommie & daddy!!!!! This is definitely meant to be!!! Overwhelming love!!!! How beautiful!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!! God bless you all!!!! 🥰🙏😊💕
Awww, thank you so much for saying this! We feel without a shadow of a doubt that Sadie Grace was meant to join our family! We love her so much! Blessings to you too! xx :) :)
This puppy brought tears to my eyes, she looks like exactly like my SCRUFFY , who is got blinded in age three, and lost his life in my arms in age sixteen and half. God bless all creatures on this planet. 😭
I'm sorry you lost your precious Scruffy, but it's comforting to know that he led such a long life despite being blinded at a young age. I hope we can bring you some joy watching Sadie Grace! Losing a pet is so hard on the heart!
Sadie Grace was sent to the perfect home on the perfect day!! God knew you would be the perfect mom for this sweet shy little girl who had been through major trauma. She is beyond adorable and felt safe and loved 🐾. Buddy sends a puppy kiss for her!💖
I followed the advice given to me by the rescue volunteer who handed Sadie over to me and given how quickly I was able to gain her trust, I think the slow/distanced/cautious approach was the right one to take. In hindsight, of course I wish I’d taken her out of the car sooner, but I was hesitant because I didn’t want to touch her before she was ready. Sadie is doing very well. Thanks for your concern!
Awww! So glad to hear that you also know the love of a Shih Tzu! Sadie Grace has been such a blessing to our little family - we cannot imagine our lives without her! xx
You are both so lucky you found each other. Sadie Grace is just as sweet and adorable as ever. May she live a long time. She has the good lie now with a lot of love 🐾🦴😇💖🦴💖😇🦴💖💋☘️🐾
Thank you for saying this! We honestly cannot imagine our lives without her. I'm so sorry you miss your Shih Tzu, but I understand why. Hugs to you! xx
You can't expect a little dog to jump out of such a high car. They could easily hurt their backs. Especially this little sweetie when she only has one eye and has impaired depth perception. So pleased she has found a wonderful home. Now it's just a matter of both of you getting to know each other.
Thank you. I agree with you! I was wanting to respect her boundaries and I regrettably hesitated in helping her at first because of how afraid of us she was when we got in the car with her, but I'm happy to say she has never once made such a jump. I always carry her!
I have a shih tzu/bishon..and shes the nicest, sweetest, little girl. Love her w/ all my heart. Thank you for doing this for this sweetheart of a dog. She's sooo pretty. Melt my heart. God Bless❤❤❤
What a beautiful story.. Sadi is a very happy dog and you are amazing and very caring. For 16 years i had a boy whom i adopted. He was everything to me and i miss him forever. Love from a fan who lives in the UK. 🐶❤
Thank you for your very kind words and for sharing your love of your adopted dog! They become family very fast!!! I still miss my Westie from many years ago - love never dies! xx
I had watched several of your videos and just had to know the beginning story. What a wonderful story it is. You are such a sweet, caring person and that perfectly corresponds with the sweetness and love that you receive from a ShihTzu. Over the years I have rescued 6 and there is always a sad story behind the adoption. I really noticed your video because of the loss of her eye. My 18 YRO ShihTzu has recently had to have both eyes removed due to glaucoma. It was heartbreaking, but I am so thankful for each and every day I have with him. He was very playful like Sadie when I rescued him at 10 YRO, so I hope you will have many years of a playful girl ahead of you. Thank you for what you have done, and I'll be waiting for your next video.
Awww, you put a tear in my eye! Thank you for these very kind words! What a wonderful human being you are to have rescued 6 beloved dogs, all deserving of a loving home! I'm so sorry to learn that your 18 year old Shih Tzu has lost both of his eyes. I worry about Sadie Grace's remaining eye which is why I do everything I can to protect it and to keep her as healthy as possible, but if heaven forbid she ever loses it, we will love her through whatever is to come! I go to bed each night and pray for many more years with this precious angel dog! I hope your sweet boy adjusts as best he can! Please give him a belly rub from us! xx
God bless you. U r a wonderful beautiful woman 👩 Sadie Grace is very lucky u saved her ❤ she's gorgeous . I hope u get to keep her. Thank you for your kind heart ❤
Another heartwarming video of this incredible journey! So pleasing to see Sadie getting comfortable with everyone and making herself at home 🏡. Can’t wait to see the continuation…💕🐶
I am so happy to see Lil Sadie at her new home safe, comfortable and happy. I am looking forward to watching all of your adventures together. Stay safe and be happy
Shih tsus get very attached to mom they just always wants to be on your lap they love so deeply l have one,a male l just love him to pieces l got him when he was 6weeks they are very smart angels. Thank You
We have a shih.tzu Murphy is his name. He makes us laugh and loves to be outside or in the house playing with his toys. We lost Bo when we took him into our home when my mother in law passed. He was a character. Unfortunately we had to put him down he got sick. Tears were shed. We also had little fellow we called Louie he was getting older and we had to put him down as well. It is so hard to watch these little loving beautiful dogs get older and they pass away.
How delight to see what love Saddie ❤you are giving her and what love ❤ she giving you enjoy every moment of her and bit she will get to know that their people who adore her and she has a lovely home, and hope your Mom get to enjoy her. Love her to bits.my shili tuz is the same too ,got as puppy into my home and gives great ❤
Thank you! Sadie Grace shows us so much love and gratitude for welcoming her into our home. We cannot imagine our lives without her! So glad to know you have a Shih Tzu too! :)
I'm always repeat and repeat watching your videos coz I take care a shih Tzu dog.1_6years he is a complete eyes and 7_up to now he is a one eye.I love him so much.
Oh my goodness! At the 3:24 mark point, it felt like she looked at ME as well! This vlog was so sweet, and it didn't make me cry initially- I smiled all throughout. Although at the end, with the mentions of grace and faith, I cried AND smiled! I've always believed, whether a person owns a dog or not- dogs are a gift from God. The mere fact that GOD spelled backwards is DOG... simply cannot be a coincidence by any means! 😊
Awww, I'm glad that your tears at the end were accompanied with a smile! I share your belief that dogs are a gift from God. Their hearts are among the purest on the planet! xx
Bless you & dear Sadie both my Shihtzu passed at 17! 2020 & 2022 I adored them! I may have found one whose owner is going into assisted living! Same color and age as Sadie. Btw: Shihtzu are strong & agile dogs, feed them well.
I know it's a perfect dog 🐶 for us both retired we lost our precious Little baby girl Abby going on 3years Nov 25th she was a great girl very smart and easy to train. We loved her so much
You are so good with words and your story would be a great book of Sadie stories...I have 2 shih tzu’s. They are amazing little friends, I got them when they were older as their first human mom passed...I had 2 previous shih tzu puppies who were wonderful and lived to 15 years...what a special little friend for your Mom and family...my life has been greatly enhanced with my little furry friends, I am 80 and they are good Gentle company
That is very kind of you to say - thank you! :) It warms my heart to know that you have the love and comfort of not just one, but two precious little Tzus! Take good care!
Dear America - As you can see I am about to enter my new home and be loved because I am so adorable and perfect and funny and I love my new big back yard. I needed a boost getting up the stairs for the first time and did I tell you a shih tzu is a rock star? I’m adjusting to my new home here and I’ll sniff the floor - and what is this? Is this my new toy? I hope this toy makes a squeaking sound when I bite it. I’m adjusting here and America please visit a shelter or dog adoption nonprofit and adopt a shih tzu because we have love in our hearts. -Little Miss Shih Tzu
Yes, agreed! I wish I hadn't taken so long but I didn't want to scare her by reaching for her before she was ready for me to touch her. From that day forward, she has never had to wait for assistance!
Good for you,,,she warmed up quickly. It was a bit hard for me to watch as she looked just like our shitzhu “Mia”, who passed from cancer last March 2022. She loves your gentleness ,,,, I will be following your videos
I'm so sorry you lost your precious Mia earlier this year. Hugs to you! Yes, Sadie Grace warmed up quickly for a dog who was so shy and so scared on the drive home. I'm happy you'll be following!
I'd love to see a photo! You can always try emailing me one. Email address is on the About page on the channel and I often put it in the description as well! :)
Sadee was clearly comfortable with you from the beginning and was asking you to lower her down from the car, because the seat was pretty high. She knew you were a good person instantly~!!
Thank you for saying this! I know now that I could have reached for her sooner than I did so if I could go back I would have taken her out of the car sooner! I spoke to her for most of the drive home and I think she realized she was going to be safe with me! :)
I'd like to recommend a couple of books which I have recently read about dog nutrition and dog food. They are fantastic books with so much great information on keeping your little fur baby healthy and happy. One is called Big Kibble, the other The Forever Dog. We have a Shih Tzu/Bichon and we have been home cooking for her for years. If you read these books you will see how feeding "dog food" is not the way to have a healthy dog. Best wishes to you and Sadie. She looks like a very sweet little girl who will bring you lots of joy.
Thank you for the recommendations. Sadie Grace is definitely a sweetheart! A sweetheart with an appetite! She's gained a few much needed pounds since being with us! :)
Hello po..Parang mas komportable siya kapag inalis yung tali..tutal nasa loob lang siya ng bahay..subukan nyo po..natutuwa po akong panoodin yung video nyo..dog lover din po ako..
Shelley, I Love your Sadie Grace, I want you to know Shih tzu hair is beautiful and like humans. Today, I believe her in her face is to long for drinking and eating. Remember, she has one eye and is rubbing her face in your Mom's chair... telling you she is uncomfortable. My girls never have been on a leash because they knew l ❤ them Laverne and I rescued them!❤😢😊🎯💝
Thank you for loving our sweet girl! Sadie Grace will be getting a good face trim very soon as I know her beard hair is too long. Every few weeks I trim the hair around her eye so that her eye area stays as clean and clear as possible. Shih Tzu hair sure does grow fast! xx
Yes, this is Part 2! I've put out a video almost every week since starting the channel last summer so you'll have many to watch if you start at the beginning! It's been quite the journey! :)
I can see already you are in Love. She's very comfortable. She trusts you. Even in the car when she wagged her tail. She loves you too! Her little lamb toy is my Lucy's favorite toy. She has about 5 of them. Perfect for their little mouth.
I will forever be amazed at how quickly we formed a bond of trust! And yes, there is a whole lot of love between us!!! Glad to know that your Lucy loves her little lamb too!
I know this is an old video, but I just want to say that as someone who is blind part of the reason why she was a probably afraid of going up your stairs and even over the threshold is she couldn't judge how high that step was. She probably had a lot of depth perception problems going on there.
Thank you for saying this Cat! You are so right! We've learned over time how to better adapt to her needs. We know she has it in her to want to do zoomies, but we try not to encourage that with her for fear that she could quite literally run into something and seriously hurt herself. She clearly struggles more in low light situations so we offer her more support by way of extra lighting and keeping the house as tidy as possible so she doesn't run into something. :)
@@littlemissshihtzu kind of sucks they can't make white canes for dogs. That would help so much but unfortunately I don't know how you could manage that. Something tells me your husband could figure it out though. Maybe your husband and your son can work on something? I don't think it's possible though. That would be very hard to fix.
See this is why I could never be a foster parent for an animal. I would get so attached to it that I would want to keep it. Then I would get another foster get attached to it want to keep it get another foster and on and on and on. I don't think I could ever just foster an animal it would never work out. I would just get to attached to quickly.
@@littlemissshihtzu so this is taking me a lot of nerve to ask because I know you're busy and I don't want to bother you or anything but what does Sadie Grace look like? I can't see her and I'm curious and I've been wanting to ask you ever since I started watching your channel but I've never had the nerve to do it so now I'm asking at this second. And I'm going to go hide now for the rest of the day. Lol. I did my brave thing for the day so I'm hiding now. Seriously, if you can't describe her I'm not going to be mad about it I'm just curious. But you don't have to if you can't.
You are so sweet! Please know that I am happy to answer questions like this so don't ever hesitate to ask anything you'd like to know about Sadie Grace because I'll do my best to help create a visual in your mind! It is my pleasure to do so! Sadie Grace is a black and white Shih Tzu. She has a white beard and mouth but the rest of her head is black. She has black ears. She has a tiny splash of white on the top of the right side of her face and head. She is missing her right eye because another dog attacked her. She has enough hair on her face that her hair does a good job concealing the missing eye. Her chest and paws are all white. She has a black band of hair around her tummy and a black bottom but her tail is a mix of black and white. Her hair is very soft now and very fluffy. Her hair was coarse and dry when she came to us and she was very thin. She is a solid little dog now with a good appetite. She went from being 10 pounds to a healthy 13.5 pounds. She is cute as a button! We think she's beautiful! She has very long eyelashes and a beautiful deep brown/almost black eye. She loves to stare up at me when I hold her in my arms. Robin says he's never seen a dog look at a person the way she looks at me. She is very loving and affectionate. She wags her tail a lot when I speak to her! She went from being extremely shy, nervous and timid to being a very happy dog in a short amount of time. If you have any other questions about her, don't be shy to ask! I hope this helps! :)
@@littlemissshihtzu hey that was perfect. See that was awesome! I actually could picture her. Yep she reminds me of Riley. Riley was the same way when she came to us, and she's deaf so part of that is probably because of her being deaf but she was a little bit nervous. She did really well though once she kind of got adapted in. I also have two other dogs that are Chihuahua Jack Russell and Boston Bull mix. You can imagine the looks of these two. They're my babies though and I love them to death. I love all three of my babies and if I could have more I totally would get more. Probably another shih Tzu. Spelling?
I'm so glad you were able to picture Sadie Grace! Your three dogs all sound very special and they are obviously very well-loved fur babies! I'm glad you have them. We cannot imagine life without our sweet Sadie Grace. She has brought us so much comfort in the short time that she has been with us.
Hate is a very strong word.,but I literally hate people who are mean and cruel to animals.my dog and cat are my babies,I'm sorry, but they come first, even before family
