No doubt! Don't read me wrong here .. I LOVE working on video game art. I just don't necessarily love clean up tasks. :)

Sometimes it IS good. You put some tunes on, start stitching things, let your mind wander a little ... it's good for the head.

Sure ... props, environments, vehicles, whatever. I just used a generic term to cover the idea.

Just taking a quick look, it looks like you have a solid grasp on high poly modeling ... and I think the title you picked out "hardsurface concept design" is appropriate. :) I think you need to keep going, refining your design skills, expand the portfolio and do things to make yourself visible. It'll happen, you definitely have the ability.

Modeling is my least favorite part of the pipeline, but it's worth it once everything's in the engine.

You know, honestly ... I think I dislike the high poly phase the most. I enjoy making the low poly, the UVs, the bakes. I find that satisfying.

Wow, that seems surprising to me. I definitely enjoy high poly and texturing the most. But I must say low poly and uvs can be quite relaxing. To each their own I guess. Baking is hit or miss for me. On one hand I love it because it's finally shaping up as a finished model. But on the other, I don't enjoy troubleshooting bakes. Especially on client work where some of the baking restrictions can be so limiting.

What did I just see? Why so much cleanup? Where his mesh from lots of booleans?Modo booleans tend to a problem so cleanups are needed.

Yep, that mesh was hit with a lot of booleans. I mean, it still saves time in the end and it's usually clean but this time ... things went a little pear shaped.
