the infamous 13 book, a collection of short horror storys, this short vid relates to the first story in the book, which is thought by many to be the scariest thing ever written, invoking paranormal happenings and such to anyone who reads it, it involves inviting the devil into your house...i have read the thing but refrained from finishing it due to personal beliefs....the rst of the book and storys therein are good and worth a read, but the first two pages?...theyre more out there than the xfiles...next level in scary books.

@DavePerry2012 Yes. I mentioned how pathetic it is on my facebook page that they spam all over the place, then suddenly, legallyeagley pops up with an abusive comment on my chanel page. His account is a hidden one, but google the username and their entire history on the internet consists of hanging out on videos about thirteenvolumeone, defending it. Ever notice how every one of their SPAM comments instantly gets a load of thumbs up?

@lordmontym Who the hell is Mr.Trant? My boss? When I'm not clocked in, he has NO say in any part of my life. Anyway, you don't feel the slightest bit annoyed that there are so many writers out their with actual talent who will never get a break because they don't embark on a youtube spam-campaign? And NO. I'm not writing a book myself. I just HATE spammers.

@fjaalle all i cna do is give you my opinion - i dont scare easy but the first story freaked me out and i have been kinda obsessed with it since. halfway through the rest of book too and it's probably the best thing i have ever read. it's genius.

I can't read it because you have to buy it and Im not gonna spend money on a 2 page scarey story but its the dare that has people all freaked out isn't it? did you do the dare and if so did it work? did your house become haunted or anything?

You know that after I started watching the youtube videos of people doing The Dare or Magic whichever you call it, the lights in my house started flickering like 3 or 4 times. I'm sure its just an electrical issue but I'm gonna play it safe and NOT buy the book.

@boholaboy , Look I know my english is not the best(I'm not from an english speaking country), but note that I'm not talking about the whole book just about the "The Magic". I don't know about the other part of the book, but the "The Magic" thing is a complete waste, and there is nothing scary unless you're a kid or have some mental problems/fears, stuffs like that.

I really wanted to feel something when I read this. Anything. I turned off the lights, unlocked the door and read it using my small book light. I was un-disrupted through the whole thing but still the end affected me very little. I'm gonna try the dare, possibly alone as I really want to feel something when I read it.

the story is genius..never before has a 2 page story caused such a commotion..if you follow the instructions given in the story, and if your supersticious, religious or paranoid then it could cause yo problems..not one of my pals have "done" it, plenty have read it..doing what it asks is something else...the author is very clever

If I can find the book at a bookstore in my city, then ill finish the whole thing. Even if something bad happens after I read it, it won't freak me out. Besides, who'd be dumb enough to believe a series of Halloween base stories would be real.

@castlebarification Berlusconi is leaving office soon (he may in fact have left already) but I think it will be a while before they will lift the ban on the book because it will have to go through their parliament before it can be made legal again, and that could take a while. Therefore it is safer to not bring it, just in case (I doubt they would arrest you, they would probably just take the book off you if they spotted it).

it's worse than a Dean Koontz trying to pretend to be as good as Stephen King bad... it would scary a 7 year old maybe.. same way the game bloody mary does. it asks you to get alone by yourself and close the door turn off the lights it asks you to say out loud that you turned off the lights it asks again to say out loud to make sure you do what it says then it says on other side of door he is there probably listening you may can hear him breathing on other side then asks to invite him in

@bios47 Please don't take this the wrong way because I'm not trying to start a fight, but you can't even spell, so your opinion on books doesn't really mean that much to me. I reckon you either a) haven't read it and you're just looking for attention or b) can't read too well, so it was wasted on you. Because I heard this was terrifying.

I hardly did so. You think I follow this book's instructions and the devil will be outside my door, which is as ridiculous as a faceless clown chopping my head off if I don't forward a chain letter to ten other people. How is reading some text going to trigger such a thing? Even in this book's case of following it's instructions, it's no different.

@DavePerry2012 I respect your opinion, but 'scam'? In what sense? The book is said to be scary and is being proferred on that basis. You don't have to buy it. Same way as if you see a trailer for a movie - are you being scammed then? No, of course you are not; you decide if you want to see it or not. Simple. I am going to order a copy and form my own opinion. Will let you know what I thought if you are interested!

That's all it is. If you're seriously claiming that your house is haunted then fine. But you know you're on a wind up. So go easy on other RU-vidrs who are doing their thing. It's a good book and I for one am glad to have a copy.

I tryed the "The Magic" thing... this was the most stupid thing I've ever read, yes it may be scary if you are like 12 y old otherwise its a waste of time. I can't believe they banned the book, are the rest of the stories that shitty too ? If you want something decent go get the "Cthulhu Mythos".
