@nathanbarnes3969
@nathanbarnes3969 7 месяцев назад
That is just what the voices sound like on a day to day basis, when you’re reasonably well. No amount of treatment or therapy can make them seem normal. When you are very ill, or not taking your medication, the voices are much more terrifying. You can clearly hear speech, they degrade you, make you paranoid of everyone, tell you people are trying to kill you, and sometimes even encourage you to kill yourself. Talking from experience I’m not making it up.

I don't have schizophrenia, nor do I know anyone who suffers from it; but I have witnessed my own father have a complete psychotic breakdown before from a meth binge. He just came out of nowhere at like 1AM and starting rambling incoherently at the door while ringing the bell. Surprisingly he was let in, probably because my grandma worried about whether he would be safe like that in the middle of the night driving around. When he was in, he would constantly change frequency from being extremely docile and almost catatonic, to becoming VERY emotional out of nowhere, even in bursts of rage where he would smash things violently like the desks or benches. I had to stay up while pretending to sleep for about 5 extra hours just worrying he wouldn't do something irrational to himself or any of us, until eventually he somehow fell asleep (only to act similarly in the morning until it finally wore off later that day). Was not something I'd like to experience or even see again. That said, it gave me a whole new level of respect for people who have things like schizophrenia. Even trying to imagine what was going on in his head terrifies me. The fact you can be so deluded and divorced from reality, and yet not even realise in the slightest is nightmarish. My heart genuinely goes out to you guys.

The most horrifying thing I have ever heard was from a dashcam video. You can't see everything that happened, but you can hear the driver's grief and horror as he screamed at the sight of witnessing the death of his passenger of whom was apparently someone he loved. Shirley Ledford murder recording is so terrifying, that just the text transcript of the beginning of it, can destroy your mental health (many people say it did). The audio recording of it is so sick, it made people run away from court crying. FBI uses it as a tool to desensitize new officers, as its the scariest recording to exist. During court hearing, the murderer Lawrence Bittaker said "it was just the foreplay" - he is said to be the most insane, dangerous psychopath to ever exist, and has the highest score on Hare Psychopathy Checklist ever (39/40).

Scariest thing I ever heard was when I recorded myself sleeping, because I wanted to know why I kept waking up with a bad back. I thought maybe I was sleeping in strange positions, or throwing myself around in my sleep. On the recording, I could hear the clinking of cups and glasses in my kitchen, and a door opening and closing. I live in a flat, and my doors are deadbolted from the inside, and there's nowhere for anyone to hide like a hidden room or anything, so I have no idea what the hell was moving around in my home at night. EDIT: Seems to be a lot of confusion for some reason about this post..... It was a video recording, not a sound recording, so I could see if I was throwing myself around in my sleep. But in the background I could hear those noises coming from the kitchen.

I think analogue horror of this time has really taken a good grasp of our fears of sound and what we associate them with, the fear of hearing tornado sirens as kids turned to a television announcement that we are not to open our doors for anyone or anything and close our eyes if anything gets in really does push the creativity that the fear within us creates. Being a 2000's kid I absolutely loved digging into analogue horror as it developed on RU-vid in the last decade and I think sound design has to be some of the most important parts of that, the human brain does such a phenomenal job at linking sounds to possible danger and in a society that has so much to do with music and listening, it tests arguably one of our most sensitive senses.
@ShockInazuma
@ShockInazuma 2 месяца назад
I think it’s a combination of both sounds and visuals. The visuals dive deep into the uncanny valley, which only serves to add to a layer of that disturbance. This is also why the Mandela Catalogue series is so effective at Analog Horror. From uncanny sights to disturbing noises.

The Shirley Ledford torture and murder recording is one of the most depraved things on tape. Shakes my very morals to their core. Got me thinking that maybe revenge torture could be justified in rare instances. I know it's not true but it crossed my mind and I feel dirty about it.
@Valiyus
@Valiyus 7 месяцев назад
When it comes to pain inflicted on others and it's not justified in any way I don't really feel bad for those thoughts. They went out of their way to not only hurt and ruin their lives but they did so because they were bored or wanted entertainment. There is no necessity to the horrors they inflict. Now, if it's other things like stealing or accidental hurting someone type of stuff I'm really lenient but I have zero compassion for those that desire to hurt others, ESPECIALLY when they take it that far. It may not make the world better but in my eyes it's justice and it's provided back what you did to someone else, perhaps they can experience it themselves. The issue really comes of not falling into depravity yourself.

So, uh, the 'schizo experience' audio? That would be on the fairly extreme end of things, I'm pretty sure. Speaking from personal experience: Much more common to have the occasional call of your name, loud bang, or disembodied moan/scream. Also animal noises. On the more disturbing end without distinct voices, you have the occasional appearance of a constant, low murmur, like you are in a crowded mall or something. It's really disorienting to suddenly become aware of that murmur ongoing, and even worse to only realize it was going on when it stops and your brain declares things have become abnormally silent. Of course, everyone is different, but that audio was very much more 'active' than would be typical for someone whose not in the midst of an actual psychosis episode or totally untreated. Unfortunately, for some, the schizophrenic experience is that intense all the time, and medications and treatment don't really help. I have auditory hallucinations with enough frequency that I prefer to wear headphones most the time when home alone, precisely because the hallucinatory sounds don't 'muffle' like real sounds do when traveling through the dampening of the headphones. If you are schizophrenic/have mental health issues and ever hear fully formed and distinct voices talking to you, let alone multiple, that's a sign you have a major issue going on and should be talking to your psychiatrist immediately, regardless of how 'positive' the voices might seem. Visual hallucination is a different ball of wax and is to my understanding, a lot less common. It ranges in severity from abnormal lights, moving shadows, and misinterpreted shapes, to full blown acid trip hellscapes. The worst I've had with regards to visual is figures staring at me through windows/doorways/etc that are gone if I close my eyes and reopen them. This is, of course, ignoring sleep paralysis and it's hallucinations.

@estermoon7214
@estermoon7214 7 месяцев назад
I have both, which and they are both on the higher scale of severity. Schizo with both visual and auditory will cause a hallucination to smack an object, such as a table, and then your auditory creates a wooden thumping sound to match where it hits a table. I have meds, and I am okay, but yeah. It's terrifying, especially at night.

I hear my name being called (mostly by a child), whispering, sometimes low whispering, I heard screaming once, and straight talking. Sometimes I see characters from my dreams and shadows/light. I have generalized anxiety disorder, but I don’t know if it’s because of that or not.
@jtnachos16
@jtnachos16 7 месяцев назад
@@AlexRandom_channel132 If you do not have a psychiatrist, go to one. Seriously. If you are at a point where you are experiencing complex hallucinations (distinct voices, recognizable voices, detailed visual hallucinations), that is a major issue. Anxiety on it's own can cause hallucinations as well. Either way, get help, before it gets worse. Even when you 'get used' to a certain baseline level of hallucination, it will still wear you down over time, and it becomes oh so easy to spiral.

The recording of the courtroom trial proceeding of the murder of Shirley Ledford has got to be the most chilling. There is a section in the video where one can actually hear the agonising screams of that poor girl as she was being tortured. And hearing that sent enough chills down my spine to thank God that the full audio was deliberately not made public. Just by hearing that small section of the video, one can get a feeling of why so many of the hardened investigators in the case went into PTSD after listening to that inhuman torture.

Apparently the fbi used the tapes to desensitise recruits. There is a reference to this in the show “mindhunters” where one of the new recruited characters has to listen to what seems to be the tape, you see in their face and reaction how distressing the audio is (despite it being a fictionalised version of it in the show and not the real audio)

Once I worked in a clinic (I'm a laboratory technician) and a patient came with a disjointed shoulder. The doctor had to readjust the articulation and in this case that is made by pushing it with your body. I don't know the technique but the screams of that woman were really haunting and chilling. He said that Navajo people say it's dangerous and foolish to go outside after dark. I think they must know the truth that the rest of us forgot, or stopped believing in, because we thought it couldn't be real. But I myself have seen and, well, "met" some admittedly scary things outside after dark. I don't care if people don't believe me, but I don't tell anyone anyway, because I KNOW what I've seen and heard.

the schizophrenia one is always interesting to me, it's just a display of 1 type as Schizophrenia isn't always bad, there are people who go undiagnosed for many years because their voices, delusions and hallucinations are positive so they never get in the situation to find out, it's only when they actually have medical checks for other things that its detected. Away from that, the negative voices that is in that clip is so on point for depression and anxiety as well, so if you think that audio clip is bad just realise this is also running through the minds of people suffering with depression and anxiety which is why we struggle so bad.

The schizophrenia one sounded like the voices I would hear when I’m having a sleep paralysis. I would lay in the dark, half awake, with my eyeballs the only thing I can move around while attempting to squirm just to snap myself out of that horrifying state.
@thephoenixking1086
@thephoenixking1086 5 месяцев назад
Yup, What is even scarier is when you have awake-sleep-paralysis (which is even more rare). It is when you are actually awake and doing every day things, you lay down just for a second and boom, you are unable to move anymore, you start to hear all sorts of things, see figures and absolutely cannot do anything at all. - I Have had this happen twice, the worst one was when I was talking to my brother over the phone and layed down in the bed (while still talking) and boom, all of a sudden I was completely unable to move, started hearing all sorts of whispering and scary sounds right in front of me and then started seeing a shadow move towards me, no matter what I did I could not move, speak or anything... Thankfully this stopped after a few minutes and my brother was still on the phone wondering why I had just gone silent. I am not sure what causes this as it seems to be extremely rare, but from what I understand, it is a form of "Sleep" where your brain is going into sleep mode for no reason (this can happen if you have stayed awake for too long, you will be wide awake and then boom, you suddenly fall asleep for a few seconds and then boom, back wide awake), in some VERY rare cases, this can also cause Sleep Paralysis during this short time span... Let me clear that up, you are suffering a VERY rare thing, during another VERY rare thing caused by very bad sleeping habbits... The chances of me meeting anyone else who has suffered this is low, and I have had it twice... It is absolutely terrifying and is what I personally believe to be the cause of so many "Ghosts"... Humans and the mind are far more scary than any Ghosts.
@marj9298
@marj9298 5 месяцев назад
It only started when I worked the night shift and barely slept throughout the day and that leads me to believe lack of sleep might be the catalyst. It definitely is the worst and I can barely identify what’s real and what’s not, and I definitely agree that it rarely happens because none of my colleagues and friends experienced that although we have the same work schedule and have little to no sleep. Hopefully more research will be conducted about sleep paralysis in the future.

Omg…this happened to me too. I once tried to OD on sleeping pills as a teenager and ended up in a state of sleep paralysis instead where I was awake, but my body was asleep. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life.

Couldn't make out what was in sight except I could recognize the colour of my room. Oh and blue colour started appearing almost over my vision for a moment. Like I said earlier, all liquidy. I guess sleep paralysis really occurs when your eyes are open while dreaming but I am quite surprised schizophrenia is a part of sleep paralysis too because now I get a brief idea of it.

@@lanoosaurusrex The ability of the brain to create artificial feelings and senses is truly astounding. Some context first . . .I'm what's referred to as a "Cold Warrior". I served in the military during the Cold War, specifically the end years. While on base/post they would test the emergency sirens once a week at the same day and time. Even when you were sure it was a test, you still waited, listening to see if the tone fell, or continued past the few seconds for the test. I as an Air Force weather observer. I was stationed at a couple high risk bases. One because it was was a missile base and the other because it had the longest runway between the Iron Curtain and Rhein-Main AB in [West] Germany. So either case the siren meant something. If it was a steady tone, I would be heading to the weather station to help out because things would be hopping. If it was a warbling tone . . . I would either be donning on my combat gear getting ready to deploy or bending over kissing my ass goodbye. A couple years ago, I was listening to our local HD Radio station playing classic music from the 80s (X96 Classic - it has an app!). I was just doing some writing and I heard that tone coming over the radio... the warbling radio . . . I froze. It then cut out to an orchestral riff... the intro to the 12" version of "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I was relieved, but surprised that after so long I would still have a visceral reaction.

Two scary things ive heard, the first being the worse because it woke me from sleep, a house blowing up miles away from a propane leak, i knew someone had to have died at that time. The second sucked but wasnt as bad because i was awake and had to call police, like i knew it was gonna happen, but just not to me lol it was when a drunk driver slammed into my house at 3 in the morning. His loud exhaust from his charger kept me up as he joy rode around the neighborhood. I said out loud this dudes gonna hit something. Sure enough he hit my house, blowin in my basement wall. Took the turn wide and too fast, he overcorrected and lost control.

I hate to say this, but the Criticality Siren didn't phase me, not at all. It sounds so much like the Star Trek Red Alert that I just kinda sat there... It sickens me to think that I'd be unphased if I heard that in real life.

@@MRSLAV sometimes i'm hearing my own voice, and some other noises that i heard about half a day before, recorded in my head and played back relentlessly, like a siren, car horns. even though i heard it today but still can listen to them at night, the exact same noise. and for the voices, mostly not about "orders" or "demands" like "go there" or "do this", but "comments" like "he must be ..." or "that thing is ..." even though i paid exactly no mind about those things or persons. it's like a portion of my brain that i can't control, producing thoughts on its own.

I discovered plane crash info a while ago, visited it pretty frequently because of how much info was on there, I was a big aviation enthusiast (and I still am) and visiting the site felt somewhat natural to me, but the "Last Words" tab is some of the most haunting stuff I've ever heard knowing the fact that the people behind these tapes are real, they aren't reenactments, its what happened the moment it happened, the one that haunts me the most is Vladivostokavia flight 352.

I have schizophrenia. I get really sad when my loved ones are in trouble. But the voices in my head be saying "deserves them right/let them die". When I thank God, the voices would curse God. It's like literally a demon is sitting inside my brain and trying to ruin me. It's terrifying.
@FranchescoTheThird
@FranchescoTheThird 4 месяца назад
Continue praising the Lord. It depends on your family or history how these voices have arrived, but with prayer they will not be allowed to do these awful things any longer. Above all else, remember God is stronger and greater than these things and will protect His beloved. You have been given the ability by God to discern, lift generational curses, anoint your property, remove the power of the wicked ones and so much more. I am not experienced as you in these situations but hope this helped. I will pray for you.

Speaking about a Black Box, I still clearly remember the time I was in China. An american Boeing 707 boarded by several governor officials and a whole lot of people who had very bright futures, just came down with the plane when it seemed to be controlled to do so. The horror I feel for those lives still huant me as I imagine what they saw when it came down straight straight .

Pass device vid is crazy. The one you showed for an example of them going on a pack was a mid 2010s Scott 2216 pack which is exactly what I use. Could be earlier because of the camera quality but mine has same sounding alarm and they tend to change them plus packs can only be in service for 10 years.

when I was in middle school I did a small biography on Yuri Gagarin for history day (he was the first man in space if you didn't know) and learning about how messed up the early Soviet capsules were was really hard for me to wrap my head around, astronauts (or in their case cosmonauts) entered knowing they didn't have great chances of survival, they did it for their country and for future of humanity.
