You can not get off there. This is most likely the Zugspitze in Germany and the lift goes over a crest and ends near the glacier where the actual slopes are. This is the way into the skiing area.
@@jakob.k_design i was implying that it looked like he was going down the hill so he’d rather ride the lift up and down. But thanks for clearing things up as its actually pretty interesting
I took this one in Val D'Isere. Got a good memory of it. The sensation of going down after reaching the top od the mountain is quite disturbing.... But view is amazing !!! Some people jump at top from the chairlift. We saw the traces of it....Some freestyle skier ...
I know the lift youre talking about, but is this it? I don't think it is but I could be wrong. I believe you jump off going the other way too, that's a bit steep to be jumping 😂
no, it is the 3s bahn in Austria Kitzski Kitzbühel. it is 4km long and you take 1 km above the ground, the lift goes 25 km/p, it has 1 pole and goes from mountain to mountain. on a certain stretch you are free in the air for 3 km. it hangs on 3 cables and a cart/gondola can accommodate 10-15 people. that's the scariest ski lift
You don't know a scary lift until you have been on a single track double chair with one pole in the middle during a snowstorm. The amount of swinging is terrifying.
Downloading really messes with height judgement from the unfamiliar perspective. Feels like you’re 100 feet away from the slope instead of 20, but it’s a great view if you have to do it.
The lift is called lessieres in val d’Isère in the French alps and in English people call it the Up! and over because it takes you up and over the mountain to the other side where there is a glacier if you go a bit higher up
Val D'isere. there's another like it at Alpe D'Huez. What a view though, and very tempting to lift the bar and drop into the powder just behind the ridge for some amazing powder surfing. (it's not a big drop to start with)
