What I noticed from Malzeno is that, compared to the other monsters who seem to be using their gifted weapons to keep their place in nature, with notable attacks and movements akin to at least animal movements... Malzeno got moves. It seems to be really smart and have its own arsenal that it uses in a certain style that it looks like it's somewhat actually fighting with a human sense. If you don't understand, take a moment to think about its attacks like the tail slam thrust for example: something about it tells me Malzeno is using it as a weapon and not something nature has bestowed. Or the way it stylishly spins before the teleport-looking dash and stands in its pose (which could be potentially coherent to the dash to have such speed) A last example? The pin attack, it literally grabs you with a foreleg like it's a hand
@@vineshroomie Quiro used Malzeno as a host to move around to feed Malzeno purposely have quiro drain his life force in exchange for power For summary, Malzeno has the dereliction skill
@@vineshroomie I think qurio could very well allow him to reach such speeds. The afflicted monsters who can't even fully utilize qurio all move much faster than they normally do, so a monster like malzeno who has practically mastered qurio manipulation could very well be using them to achieve such speeds.
Elder Dragons are know for being extremely inteligent beings in the Monster Hunter universe. They know their power, they know the treat a hunter or another monster presents.
@@FrostyTheCookie the tent-like stance Malzeno makes with its wings during the "teleport" may be crucial for this maneuver, as energy/wind is released underneath Malzeno itself
Something that kinda surprised me was how vicious a lot of Malzeno's attacks are. It isn't the same kind of graceful that Velkhana is, where its very restrained and controlled in its movements. Malzeno is graceful, but so many of its attacks have this savage feeling to them, like all the ground slams and the tail stab. Its perfect for a vampire, a blood-hungry monster wearing a mask of nobility.
To be fair it was graceful once since it is more a husk of its former noble self, despite becoming more vicious, there’s a shred of gracefulness that still remains
He truly does feel like a maniacal emperor, evil, dark and cruel. He doesn’t feel like an animal, he feels like a true vampire, he feels more than intelligent.
I know most elder dragons are intelligent, but the aura Malzeno gives me feels human, as if he is once a human like us who succumbs to his crave for power
Omg if that was the case Malzeno would be the second monster that might have human origin. The first one being the White Fatalis. Even wearing it's armor is rumoured to make you turn into one of them.
Chase themes are all bugged and don't play in-game and it sucks, because they add so much tension. It's a shame, this is one of the best ones I've heard too
Gotta love they added IRL Vlad lore and not just Castlevania Dracula. A proud lord who did everything to protect his land from a greater evil. Even becoming the devil himself; known as the evil to defeat by most, remembered as a protector and hero only by those who know.
