Love this breakdown of these scarlet spider figures that you did. Hope to see a part two documenting the Sensational Spider-Man figures soon. Ben has always been my favorite comic book character and I have such a fondness for that original figure from 1996. It took me years to find that figure and I lived in a neighborhood that had its fair share of KayBee Toys stores. I didn’t see it in the wild until I was on a family trip to Colorado 3-4 years after that figure came out and the infamous Mile High Comics had one on card. To this day that was one of the hardest figures to track down. I think I’ve only ever seen it twice in the wild over the last 25 years. Also I just wanted to point out one minor nitpick, those clone saga volumes that you talked about at length only collect the first half of the entire event. The second half can be found in the “Spider-Man: Ben Reilly” epic collection chapters 1-6. So the whole series was 11 volumes in length, not merely 5. Also there are omnibus volumes available that collect the entire series but once again, they have different subtitles. Volumes 1 & 2 are collected in the Spider-Man: The Clone saga set and Spider-Man: Ben Reilly finishes the series in technically volumes 3 & 4
Hasbro made a very nice scarlet spider figure. I believe the classics line? It’s very good though you should check it out! I picked him up at a comic shop for 12$ which was a steal not gonna lie. His articulation is Very good! More like Mafex styled articulation. He does.not have. Soft goods but he’s still a great addition to any marvel collection!
Around 6 months ago I got the original Spider-Man classics symbiote Spider-Man in its box. But the box was falling apart so I couldn't keep it but I still have the comic and the figure and I got it for $40
Ever since I saw Across the Spider-Verse and saw Ben Reilly it made me wanna see what he was like in the comics and, I’m a little sad with how they interpreted his character but, despite that it’s made me really like Ben Reilly and seeing this was super cool!!
Dude looks good.. I'm impressed Ben is the og spudey .. I always thought Peter was the og but the comics and even the 90s .S-M cartoon back this. Whoa Dude u totally understand the dynamics and differences of artists.. I'm the same way.badass
I was pretty bummed at how they portrayed Scarlet Spidey in the Spideyverse. Kinda disrespected that classic 90s character. Question: what’s is a pizza buck body? Is it like a brand like Toy biz? I’m learning so much from your videos by the way.
The Pizza Spidey is in reference to a thin, athletic Spidey mold that have been used on various versions of the wall crawler - it is called that because the original figure came with a half mask head with a smiling Peter mouth exposed and he came with a slice of pizza - hence Pizza Spidey!
Your missing a scarlet spider it was Kaine parker and it was a two pack with the normal spider man they were two or three inch figures and came with a comic I think
I'm sad I gave a lot of my figures away while the rest were stolen. I miss having the Toy Biz Scarlet Spider as well as my other Spider-Man figures. I was so young when I had the Scarlet Spider so I don't remember having the comic. I do recall that display stand that came with other figures. I also had a cool Famous Cover Carnage figure. So sick.
Oh my god I just realized, I don’t if this was on purpose, but I think the Spider-Man homecoming homemade suit might have been a reference to the hoodie scarlet spider look since they look quite similar! (Though obviously they switched the colors)
@@CarbonScoring imagine if they set up a mini clone saga in a future film, where ben gets his homemade suit although i couldnt imagine them doing it especially with reversed colours it'd look a bit odd
Bro, I love that you use the Two pack Spider-Man from the two pack spider woman marvel legends series for the intro I just love it just to let you know Ben Riley is one of my favorite Spider-Men
