Man On Red Carpet stepped onto a black carpet for the huge event - and was there as the Avengers Assembled on stage - along with new cast member Andy Serkis - at the end of a very long, and tiring whirlwind world tour to promote the film.
And as the stars departed we asked our assembled pals in the press for their reviews of the film, which has had us dribbling with anticipation for years......so is it any good? And does it live up to the first film - which of course has gone on to become the third highest grossing movie in history.
