Jam is the way to go with the Salal berries imo because you get so many of them that the 3 day turn around is more practical than a full week with the wine

Aw that Sandy cutscene is great. They tour around the Valley (farm, Beach, outside Sophia's for a better ocean view, mountaintop) and it's just fun to get a new appreciation for the places you run through every day. Shame it broke. Oh well!

@@CharlieBarleyahh I made a comment a few days ago but looks like it didn’t go through! Charlie I recommend updating your Stardew Valley Expanded mod! make a backup of your files then just delete the mod, download a newer version and put it where the old mod was. I also think you can reload the Sandy cutscene if you install the “Event Lookup” mod. Once you do, go to Sandy in your friends list, and click events, then look for the 5 heart event and click forget. Then try loading the cutscene during a sunny day! Hope this helps

But monster fruit wine is worth 6400. 4 of those sold for almost the same price as 11 ancient fruit wines. I know making seeds cuts into the harvests, but you need less than half to go into that, so it’s still 1.5x as much with the extra effort. Edit: typo

Maybe Salal Berry Jam would be the way to go? Since you have so many of them but making wine takes so much longer than it takes for them to grow. Might be worth considering making some preserves jars to get cash quickly especially now with the cheaper recipe

Yeah, salal berries are only good if you sell them as berries with good fertilizer, or putting them in preserve jars. You kind of LOSE money by putting them in a keg because the difference in profit between wine and jam is miniscule while the time frame to process is quite the gap. It's better to put salal berries in jars, and leave the kegs for higher profit crops like the monster fruit or ancient seeds

I love Shane. Idk if that’s stupid but his character development is so interesting. I really wish they could add a change where after his seven heart event beer suddenly becomes a hated item for him instead of keeping the idea he still drinks as much as before.

Because of how many salal berries you get per harvest and how low the profits are per wine, it’s better to use preserves or to sell them outright as it’s far more practical than turning every berry into wine

If you’re only going for the Java ring from the volcano, you shouldn’t go out of your way for the common chests (the short grey chests with two dots) as it can’t drop from them. Only the rares (the tall red chests with 3 dots) can drop them

Hey Charlie, just so you know, you can actually see which palm trees will drop coconuts - the nuts are visible in the top of tree until you shake it. This wont tell you if it'll be golden or not, though, that's still random when it drops

I don't know if you'll see this Charlie, but there's another worthwhile (as in there's an item related benefit) cutscene if you go into the shed behind marnies House at the right time :)

Okay uh Charlie no clue if you’ll see this, but the Krobus cutscene with the shadow people becoming passive is slightly different if you’ve seen Lance’s 14 heart event (he comes with you and Krobus, some extra dialogue also I think)

hi charlie! i don't think the snake vertebrae is obtainable via fishing, i think the only way is the artifact spots. i remember it took me ages to get on my perfection safe and it was incredibly frustrating but i hope you have better luck! and all those cutscenes are super cute. i'm curious to see if shadow brutes actually don't attack you now

Charlie, when it comes to the volcano dungeon, why not just keep your watering can in a chest inside the entrance to the dungeon itself?

I don’t know if you knew this already but there’s a config option in stardew expanded that lets you see cutscenes with darker subject matter if you set it to true. It deals with some pretty heavy stuff (especially regarding Shane) so idk if it’s appropriate for your channel’s happy vibe, but I think it’s worth looking into if you haven’t already

Hey Charlie! If you're interested, there is a chance to get a Dino egg from the crane game! It'll take some tries but you'll have a possibility to get it by moving the crane to the bush on the bottom left like you're going to grab it, and the egg can be obtained from behind the bush.

You can't fish for snake vertebrae its only possible to get from Artifacts Spots on the West Side of Ginger Island which makes it quite frustrating to get

You can find your lost fossil by fishing in the dark stip if water in the dig site. I got mine pretty fast from there

Can you really get the snake vertebrae from fishing in the west? The wiki only says dig spots. I have had literal months of in game time pass by before a dig spot would yield the two needed, so if all you have to do is fish I may cry 😅
