I got my dreads done in June and I play football for my team everyday so everytime I get a retwist the gel never fully holds up, I wear a cap to practice and to bed but also another thing, a lot of my dreads aren't locked yet and some are looking like locks but some are growing flat because of my helmet, any help or tips?

i think high top looks better with short dreads. if you have longish dreads high top or fade doesnt do too much tbh if you let it open you wont even see that you have the fade and the ponytail look doesnt look to different either.
