I have to do something while listening to people or drama/youtube. It's because it makes me uncomfortable to facing people's eyes directly than facing off somewhere else which lead my hands to do something as a reason. Ay, don’t diss the goated power of finally feeling comfortable to just be with someone in the same room because they make rooms feel good! No it is actually kind of hard to do for many men. I used to go to this Indian place for dinner all the time and I always had lots of friends or dates with me. Different women... attractive and intelligent and funny. We had a blast. The manager came over and she said some of the male waiters wanted to know how I was always there with all these women and before I could even think about it my answer was "If you have to ask you have already failed." Because the reason i made so many female friends is in my mind they were just people I listened to and talked to not potential dates or "hot girls" or any of that. When the talked I listened. And when I talked I didn't talk down to them. Men tend to see women as a object to acquire. It is built into how they think about women from an early age. Just listening and being interested in the person without an overlay of expectation is very hard for them to do. And people can smell that expectation a mile away. Many men have no idea how to turn that expectation off though.

Maintaining a good relationship should be easy for the most part and challenging when you need to learn something new. If you feel like your relationship is going to crumble after a couple bumps in a road then you probably need to work on strengthening the relationship instead of avoiding ever-present and inevitable oncoming pot-holes. @@hiro_444 If you mean, trying to correct someone on something that it's not correct, than yeah, I am taking it personally, I just hate when people think that women need "a reason" to be friends or spend time with guy's. This is the exact same line of thought that creeps have. "OH, a girl is talking to me and enjoying our time together, it obviously means she's super into me!" and then when they get rejected they do all kinds of weird shit to get her (aka, r*ape, stalking, abuse, physical violence, killing, etc.). So excuse me if I'm correcting a wrong/potentially dangerous way of thinking. Before you say, "but not all men are like that!" I know, I'm saying everyone is like that, I'm saying that anyone that thinks this way is a creep and that they can become dangerous people. I've seen this happening enough time's already and many people have lost their or got sexually abused because of these kind of men. Also, the "It's not that deep" was for what I said, to stop trying to find "a reason" for a girl wanting to spend time with a boy. Even Lily herself said that she just wanted to talk to him, but didn't feel anything then untill she realized that he was listening to her the whole time.
